  • Bali United Studio was straight-up lit with about 800 hardcore kids amping up the scene. They were all on the edge of their seats, waiting for their ultimate hero to hit the stage. The hype for Sunami had been building for what felt like forever, and it finally went down thanks to the magical efforts of Gilang Adi and Indra Chino from Trueside, along with their squad of dedicated homies who made this whole Asia tour thing a reality for the American Hardcore Punk kings from San Jose, California - Sunami.
Trueside, Knurd, Stay Younx, and Set The Fire Records took their event game up a notch. But the Sunami gig was where they absolutely brought the thunder. They were on point about ensuring that the performers owned that stage. You know, everybody was gunning to deliver their A-game to the audience, and the crew wasn't having any nonsense - they shut down anyone trying to wreck the vibe.
And then, the moment we'd all been dying for - Sunami took center stage, and Alfonso kicked it off rocking some serious Stomp Brigade merch. It was like a signal for the chaos to kick in. He eventually stripped off that sweat-soaked gear, and man, the energy level went through the roof. There were moments where you could see Alfonso, wide-eyed, trying to process the insane mosh pit stirred up by those Indonesian Hardcore kids. And let me tell you, it was intense. At times, it seemed like he was catching his breath, fighting for air in that sardine-packed space.
Sunami didn't just put on a show, they unleashed a Hardcore Beatdown that hit you deep. They resurrected Hardcore from its roots, no frills, no compromises. None of that alternative or noisy nonsense that could water down the essence of hardcore music. Being there, witnessing Sunami up close and personal, not just through a tiny screen - it was like catching lightning in a bottle.
