This is an interesting thing that happened to us. About two or three years ago, my husband would go to the grocery store and bring home little extras that we didn’t have on our list, and this went on and on and I finally said what’s with all this food? And he just said I just feel like getting extra food and it’s just a feeling I have. Well this last Christmas my husband got very, very sick and he had to have all his toes on the right foot amputated, it’s taken ten months, and he’s had a few complications going forward but I’m so very thankful that the Holy Ghost was with him at the time he was and my husband listened to the still small voice and we were so blessed with that food storage. Like President Nelson said hear with your ears and stay close to Heavenly Father and receive revelation.
That handbook paragraph bugs me, too. Of course we should prepare, as we have been counseled! Here's a scripture that goes with your discussion: D&C 38:30 "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." Plus Luke 1:17 ".. make ready a people prepared for the Lord." And Here's a good one: Hebrews 11:7 "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; " It takes faith to follow the words of prophets and get extra food and other supplies as part of our household rotation, to have on hand in case of hardship or some need. I do think if folks panic about getting stuff, they probs are likely using their "lizard brains" (fight/flight/freeze impulses) and not best judgment or doing their preparations in an orderly manner. That happens sometimes. Great discussion!
Some of us have been given dreams to physically prepare… I’m one of those but when I try to warn my brothers and sisters I’m actually “shamed” and immediately shut down . And if the topic gets brought up in Sunday school etc … your made to feel so guilty . 🥺 I just don’t understand 😥 why can’t we discuss this ? People WATER is important … can’t live without it.. drink , cook hygiene and growing food ! Thank you for your videos❤
People are clinging to normalcy bias and comfortable living. Think of the Jews in Germany. Why did so many stay while the threats to their existence intensified. It's normalcy bias. Your advice on preparedness is very good and will serve you well. People often only learn the hard way. Unfortunately.
This is such a good comment. I appreciate this. It has enlightened my understanding. I think you are right. People are looking for normalcy. @sherigraham3873
I’ve been prompted to secure a heat source, and how to survive the long winters here in Wyoming. We don’t have a wood burning fireplace, so I’m researching this now. Any suggestions?
@Cookingforacrowd we have lived "somewhat" off grid in utah for 30 years. Mainly without a furnace. We suggest a Fisher stove we. They are built hardy, durable with mass and heat up fast. They are not as efficient but definitely get the house warmed up fast. You are very wise in Wyoming to get your heat for winter! Good luck!
It’s so uplifting to listen to someone who has a clue! I’ve been prompted to prep also, though few understand. I try to listen to promptings. Conference will be a feast too with lots of opportunities for spiritual prepping. Thank you for your spot on thoughts!
I think you’re spot on in your discussion of the events going on in our country and in Israel. Thank you for having the nuggets to share your thoughts and beliefs. So important to be reading, studying and paying attention to these latter days! 🙏
I am in a state of bewilderment. We have good, faithful members who tell me they intend to vote for the party of abortion, open borders, no-bail, and reckless spending because they think the other candidate is too mean and doesn't support a campaing of 'Joy and Happiness'. I want to believe they are just messing with me. But one of them is my son. A returned missionary and doctor. But he believes what he was taught in college.
@@HolyOutlaw-1776 my children are all in medical. And though most have started to see the corrupt medical model- they are liberal in Their thinking and have bought the hatred and lies of msm. It Is So bewildering.
It is perplexing to say the least. Sorry about your son's misunderstanding of the gospel. God Bless You and Your Family. Honestly I would prefer to vote for someone who is flawed that believes in the Constitution, than someone who wants all the ugly things you listed.
I had someone tell me at church Sunday the news told him the hurricanes are due to climate change. As my friend says, everyone is entitled to their own Stupid opinion. And stupid can't usually be fixed.
Here is a thought, i felt the urgency to prepare a number of years ago, but i had no finances available to do it. The Lord told me to grlw it. Well i listened and doubled the size of my garden space. Do i have a ton of storage now? No, but i have two green houses and a couple of cows with calves and chickens and ducks. Probably more important is the learning process. We do have more storage, but not enough. I am blessed to live on a couple of acres.
As usual, you are spot on! Spiritual preparedness & physical preparedness go hand in hand. How can you be spiritually prepared if you aren’t physically prepared?
I don't listen to any media except those of you that get the real truth. Thank you for all you do! Love you & Sister P!! Yes!! THIS is a miracle!! I've been praying so so hard for this whole world! 🙏❤️⚘️
Spiritual, physical, emotional and temporal preparation is needed. None of them can be left out during the 7 years trials, tribulation and test we've now entered into.
Amen to the miracles in Israel. I think it should be studied by all because as each of us has our own trial we have modern day miracles we have seen currently that are equal to the parting of the Red Sea. It comforts my heart as I follow these miracles, knowing he can do the same for all those who seek him.
I agree with you about the long shoreman and Kamala. I also agree about the weather control times going on. Watch out for the banks and money issues coming.Remember, you can't eat money.
I think that Mike Lee needs to put in the legislation to provide RV hookups for those living full-time in RVs who can't afford costly RV parks. This would help those who are in need. My wife and I currently live at an RV park in Southern Utah in a 25 ft travel trailer. It provides us with a place to lve, where we don't have pay outrageous rent for an apartment.
I'm there too and agree 100%. I boondock/dry camp though. I have solar on top and batteries. There are many Saints that live in parks or dry camp from at least St. George down to Yuma and over to Tucson. In the 'tip' of Texas, the winter Texans have their spots. I wouldn't mind a more permanent place so as not to have to move every 14 days in BLM or National Forest. How do we encourage Mike Lee about this?
What a change times have made. I remember when was younger, Conference after Conference there where talks about getting your two year food supply in place. It been a long time since I can recall hearing about food supply during conference. Some would say it because we don't need to worry about that anymore. Our Life on Earth is is a time to PREPARE to return home!! We need to be Prepared in all things!! Those that are PREPARED need not FEAR!!
No, that’s not why they quit talking about getting your two year good supply in general conference. We used to live in Utah. We were good friends with a man in our ward that had a good friend that worked for one of the first presidency as their assistant or personal secretary. This church employee told our friend the apostles made the decision to stop mentioning about getting your food supply in general conference because they had been telling the members to do that for years. It was like the prophets in the old testament warning the people and the6 didn’t repent. So they finally stopped warning them. The Church was still really growing at the time and I thought that was very odd to not give that council to all the new members joining the Church. Also, with all of new members coming into the church from other countries, a lot of them lived in small apartments and they didn’t have the room to store two years worth of food but they still needed to learn about preparing and storing what they could. Our friend was right. I never heard any counsel about getting your two years supply of food storage after he told us what he had learned from his friend who worked for the Church.
I too remember under McKay and Benson when specifics like food preparation, repentance, world events were talked about. But relying on the Holy Spirit means preparation in all things. Reading scripture and praying gets direct guidance from Father and Christ. The prodigal son who wasted his inheritance until he was eating with the pigs, the servants who made good use of the coins they were given stewardship over and rewarded when they had increase, and a biggy was Joseph in Egypt interpreting the Pharaoh's dream to store in 7 years of plenty for 7 years of lean. And read Jeremiah 23 to see what the Lord says about those who prophesy in His name things that aren't true and lead his people astray. It ain't pretty. Or Ezkiel 33 for those appointed to be watchmen on the wall who warn not His people the enemy are coming. It is important to be self reliant by and with the help of our God Father and son Jesus Christ. They won't lead us astray and are warning us to be prepared or perish. Free Agency. Knowledge of good and evil. It's why we are here. It's a separation of those who lead and those who blindly follow those leading them astray.
@@bethp8436 My thoughts exactly when I hear people say they’ve warned us enough. The youth have never heard this warning nor has new members. So that’s a pretty lame excuse to me. I think it just doesn’t fit mainstream to be a prepper and it seems like our church has been trying to fit into the mainstream for a few years now. They talk about it every now and then and some words still do it but as a whole, the church has stopped talking about it like they used to. It seems it’s needed more now than ever.
The way I see preparing for emergencies is if I happen to have extra I can help others, the more I have the more I can share. The extreme prepper's could be just the ones that carry many through the hard times.
Hello from Utah! lol. It is getting crazy that's for sure. I love what you said about the handbook. I would rather be prepared best I can for every outcome rather than assuming there won't be a time of "all consuming calamity" as President Hinckley said in 2001.
President Hinckley said that he did not think that “the time was HERE when there would be ….” In 2001 October conference he meant it was coming now right after the twin towers in New York City were destroyed. He didn’t mean that time would never come before the second coming.
Mightiest “works” and “miracles” makes me think of existing works and miracles, such as ordinances and scripture. The mightiest thus far is the atonement and resurrection, so to see the keys of resurrection to come forth, as part of the “ongoing restoration” or keys of quickening, like has been done in past seals, dispensations, will this be something in the near future? I believe so.
What about those members who are currently struggling financially, and don't have any means to build a food storage, or are able to pay their bills on time? How are they supposed to survive the tribulations that are ahead of them? Will we get to the point when the Church will help those families who are struggling temporarily, but are faithfully following Jesus Christ and His gospel, by attending the Temple on a regular basis and attending sacrament meeting. I hope that as things get to that point, that those who righteous will be caught up to meet God before all the tribulations happen. I enjoy your videos, and appreciate the topics you discuss.
Personally I do not trust the government or the church to help me or my family out. I do feel God will bless those who make what ever effort they can, even if it is a few bottles of water and some rice and beans.
I do not think we are going to miss out on the tribulations. Do your best. That's all you can do. If that is what you do, you will be in a good position whether the worst happens (death) or not.
@@goblincamper2004 my very first food storage was an extra container of salt. Then my next week’s shopping trip I brought home a couple of extra cans of green beans. It grew gradually from there. Anything extra is better than nothing at all.
Elder Oaks, now President Oaks gave a talk in Conference in 2006 or 07 talking about disasters, he said they would become bigger and more often. I wish I could remember the name of his message..
1. I have lived in NC on the East coast. Someone explain to me how a hurricane skips the shoreline, passes over the entire state and hits Asheville which is about 6 hours from the water. Exactly. You can't because it doesn't make sense. It is Maui all over again. 2. Tucker is good, and also I like The Israel Guys for updates on what is happening in the middle East. 3. Thanks Brother Palmer. We are preppers as best we can be, we don't think the pride flag belongs in ANY church setting and make people uncomfortable with the truth all the time. God bless you, Sue and your channel. Rant done..
I live in Raleigh, NC. I know it seems hard understand how a hurricane can have such an impact so far inland. Hurricane Helene came up from the gulf, hit Florida's big bend area, and went through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina (western mountains) , Virginia, Eastern Tennessee. It's crazy! It was huge, fast moving, and stayed strong even after going ashore.
Yes, it came inland into Florida and moved up through Georgia into the Carolina’s and eastern Tennessee. It was massive. The width of the storm was wider than the state of Georgia. It spilled over into eastern Alabama besides went across the whole state of Georgia. I currently,y live in Georgia. The governor said that the width of this hurricane beside the category level 4 which it was expected to reach before made landfall in the Big Bend area of the Florida panhandle. They had problems for predicting the path of the eye of the storm. That kept changing. It changed again at the last minute to go further east in Georgia than had been expected for days and then after it crossed over into Georgia and was going north following the very eastern and coastal part of Georgia, the eye of the storm started curving west as it went further north. It ended up curing a lot to the west and it didn’t slow down line they normally do. After hitting land and traveling across land the speed and the intensity of the rain and wind not all slow down and the further across land the storm travels the more it slows down. The way this storm behaved as it traveled across land going north was not normal at all. That storm was originally predicted for the eye of the storm to go over Tallahassee and straight north up to the Atlanta metro area and then curve somewhat to the west as it continued to travel north. Wide spread destruction, power outages, and flooding were expected to hit the whole state of Georgia at unprecedented levels. Towards the last hour before it made landfall the projected path changed.
@@glendaprewitt9708 yes, yes yes...but even those who were prepared had their resources swept away literally in the storm and need assistance and prayers..sheesh. not an appropriate comment at all.
Just went to Layton temple sweet friend it was an absolute priceless experience for a few reasons but I loved that stain glass too!! Thanks so much ♥️♥️♥️
I know exactly what you mean. I have the same problem with my kids. I don’t understand. I taught them the gospel. I led them by example, and they have told me that I am a very good example. Yet they want to vote for the same candidate as your child and those faithful members you know. And I ask myself regarding my children, Where did I go wrong as a mother? Didn’t I teach them correct principles? Didn’t I teach them to love their country and to vote for people who would be good leaders who love our Constitution and our country ? Didn’t I teach them to listen to all sides of a dispute before making a choice? I thought I did but I must have done something wrong somehow. I counsel with the Lord all the time and he tells me that I have to let them make their own choices and make their mistakes. After all,he let me do that. I follow his counsel but I struggle with it. My family is fighting a big storm of trials right now and my heart is constantly on its knees. God be with your family, too.❤
I’m having the same struggle with my children, I have three one of our sons is an active member, but the other son is not and our daughter, the little girl I prayed so hard for has left the church and also left myself and her father, she wants nothing to do with us anymore, and it’s such a heartbreak.
Well, hearing. Ya’ll humbles me to see that I still have blessings to count. I have a large family and half of them are very active. All of them are still on good terms with me and their dad. Their dad and I are divorced and he has remarried. For several years we didn’t speak but now we get along. I like his second wife and she lives me. They get along well with all the kids. I have one son and daughter who don’t get along with the others, but I am told by friends that this is not uncommon. So I have a lot to be grateful for. I will stop whining now. Thank you for sharing your stories with me. I pray the best for you and your family.
Hey Bro. Palmer, I sure do appreciate your insights and opinions, and especially how you so often tie them to scripture references. The wokesters that have climbed the corporate ladder in Salt Lake definitely seem to lean left, don't they? In their eyes if we store too much food and essentials we're being "extreme preppers". If we defend the traditional family and the Family Proclamation, then we're being too closed-minded or not welcoming enough to the alphabet mafia. If we defend the unborn, then we're far-right pro-lifers, (which is perfectly okay by me). If we want secure borders for our country, then we're called racists. You get the point, it goes on and on and on. They love to accuse... And we know who the original accuser is, don't we?
"There will be no general warning to the membership that things will be shortly falling apart. We have been commanded to follow the signs of the times and that is all the warning we need or will be given, but the membership is asleep. Like the Ten Virgins, we have been commanded to watch and prepare, but like the people in the days of Noah, many members have become lulled into a sense of security. This "lack of warning" is designed to weed out the tares; the “All is well in Zion," crowd." ~Spencer W Kimball, Faith Precedes the Miracle
I was astonished in our recent teacher council with the RS, EQ etc the SS president ask about gospel hobbies and the inherent problems, two mentioned were being a prepper, and heavy focus on Isaiah, and nobody flinched including me to my shame. I’m surprised, I’ve never heard the term gospel hobby, I thought that was going to church haha.
Isiah 5:8 Woe unto them that join house to house, that lay field to field, till there be no place, that they may be placed alone in the midst of the earth!
I am bothered by a general shift in attitude in the church towards physical preparation. To me, it seems a majority are completely dismissive concerning physical preparation. I have heard so many members say we no longer encourage preparation. I have ofton heard we are a world wide church now and many countries cannot store food. - all the more reason to do so! Even when I point out quotes from our leaders as current as 2020/21, they still dismiss it. 😮 So many are asleep at the wheel. And just watch the fire light if you mention anything about it or the Second Coming. Beyond my comprehension! Why must history continue to repeat in such obvious ways and yet go totally undetected by the masses? So sad.
I might fit in the "prepper" category, as well as several other people I personally know. As a group, we were by far the least fearful during 2020-2022. We hardly talked about the insanity that was going on. I did more travelling and hiking than any other time period. My kids hardly knew anything was happening. I do know a couple of people that prep out of fear. I don't see how they harm anyone. Yet I can see how constantly mentioning "fear" and "prepping" in the same breath all the time is harmful. I'd bet a lot of people are swayed not to do any prepping because they've been given counsel that leaves them with the impression that prepping=fearful weirdos.
To me, the current statement on prepping in the handbook sounds like the kind of thing that would have been written as a compromise between two parties who have a serious disagreement about the issue.
I totally prep out of fear…fear that my inability to prepare will cause me and my family to starve to death If I “prepped out of faith” - I wouldn’t buy anything- because I would believe that the Lord would provide for all my needs… Yeah, that’s a dumb section in the handbook And…the Saints “prepped” for the trek out west ….🙄
The church has a very large savings account to be use for various reasons. I have a $saving account and a food savings account. I think the church has set an example of being prepared and we should follow that example.
Hi Scott, I am an emergency manager in a jurisdiction not far from you I can give you some frogs hair details of disaster response that may be helpful to you.
I don’t think the handbook is saying don’t physically prepare. It’s saying don’t be extreme about it. which means bombs shelters or quitting your job and moving off the grid completely disassociating yourselves from society. but we all know we’ve been told to have a year or two of supplies.
I think it's time to announce support for Donald Trump over the pulpit in conference. There are way too many LDS that are supporting Kamala and tampon Tim. It's time that the church starts suggesting members look at policy rather than personality. This is a crucial election.
@dl1130 I don't see our Prophet encouraging members to vote for a rapist, a con man, an adulterer, a liar, fraudster and the head of a secret combination to overturn a free and fair election. Remember the Gadianton robbers? That was the downfall of two nations, is this the next downfall of this nation? Vote for inclusively, vote for respecting and serving each other and vote so we can have the privilege to vote again.
God has used tough men to accomplish whatever is necessary all throughout scripture. Our members are not studying scripture and learning enough. Whining about Trump being mean is such nonsense, and not the issue we must be concerned about. Our nation is under judgement and we had better quickly get informed as to how this country can be saved from the harm that’s been inflicted upon the people or else were soon to see what bondage really is. Every time I pass by a new building of stacked homes I feel our city is doomed for being completely controlled by evil leaders in government. Prayer is a great place to start.
I'm a grandmother and voted AGAINST Trump in 2016 only because of the "grab 'em" comment. I knew nothing about politics or what he stood for. My husband and always voted Republican but even he voted against Trump. We were shocked he won. In 2017 I accidentally stumbled upon the conservative UA-camrs and found myself agreeing with them, UNTIL they said they supported Trump. Then I'd scold them for supporting a man who used crude language! That's all I cared about. I didn't know anything else. But I ended up watching thousands of videos to learn and understand. I had to EDUCATE my husband about all I'd learned, because he doesn't watch YT. Otherwise he'd still have TDS like I did! But it's scary because I see tons of Harris signs, and my feed on other sites is filled with Harris supporters. I really feel she has a chance of winning because people seriously have no clue.
My dad used to say he pretty much followed what came out of the Church Administration Building but he ignored what came out of the big ivory tower behind it.
Is the Dome of the Rock going to be taken out by one of Iranian missiles? Is this property (Dome of the Rock) under Israeli control, if not why not it is in Israel right? Does Israel protect the temple site? Curious about the politics of the 3rd temple site. Thanks for your input on this channel.
This is a great question. The following is my understanding off the cuff. The dome of the rock was built around 600 AD. The Ottoman Empire (modern day Turkey) was in control of now Israel. This country and people were almost exclusively Muslims. During this time the Temple Mount became important to Muslims. Their claim is the Mohammad ascended into heaven from this site. This is not in the Koran, but a belief that was adopted later. Going back to Constantine and his mother Helena many Christian sites were venerated by Helena. When the Ottoman Empire conquered, they built their own shrines over Christian and Jewish venerated holy sites. The dome of the rock was one of these Muslim shrines. In 1948, through many miracles, Israel became a state. Although there had always been some Jews in Israel, many more Jews began to return to their promised land. In 1967 several Islamic countries attacked the new state of Israel. This was the six day war. Through miraculous events, Israel conquered and even expanded their land. They even were able to occupy the Temple Mount! Here is where things get weird. To make peace and in hopes of not being attacked again, Israel agreed to allow the country of Jordan to oversee and control the Temple Mount. Jordan is a mostly Muslim country. So just like that, Israel gave up its most holy site to try and make peace. To this day, the Jordanian government oversees the Temple Mount. Jews and Christians are only allowed to enter through one gate at specific times, Muslims can enter through multiple gates at any time. Jews and Christians cannot worship or bring scriptures onto the Temple Mount. I had my scriptures taken from me in order to enter the Temple Mount. Fortunately, I was able to find them just sitting out in the open of the security gate after I spent my allotted 2 hours on the Temple Mount. It is a very complicated situation in Israel. You have the Palestinians and the West Bank or what should be called Judea and Samaria. You have the Temple Mount being policed by Jordan. You have Israelis that are not Jews, you have secular Jews and Orthodox Jews. Palestinians are Muslims for the most part. All this is jammed into one place, the size of the state of New Jersey. Yes, Iran could unintentionally take out the dome of the rock shrine. How ironic would that be? I hope this has been helpful. Great question.
Mike Lee is the grandson or great grandson of Harold B Lee who was a conservative. I once saw an old black & white film clip of him railing against members who call themselves liberals I think. Might of been progressives. I don’t remember which but either way it was scathing
You should get the right dimensions on what’s going on going to the church of Jesus Christ latter-day Saints. I can’t believe they ignored this hurricane for seven days. It’s tragic.
I think you can take whatever is in the handbook and twist it to fit a narrative or be offended by it. I am not a financially well of member and never have been. I do the best I can to store up food as we have been guided. I think there is a difference between what you are doing and the quoted, SURVIVALISM. People can and do take things to extreme. You and I have watched as many people have taken prepping to the extreme. Waco is just one example i can think of. The truth is that it could all be gone tomorrow due to something catastrophic. I'm not saying it is wrong to prepare. We need to be as prepared as we can for whatever happens. I'm sure there are members who lost everything in the hurricane. I think we will be called upon to help others in need physically. I think it is wise to not let so much of the opinion of others bother us. We also shouldnt get worked up over what we think something means. Please chill out a little!! Maybe you could offer assistance to those who lost everything in the hurricane. I for one would love to help them, but im struggling financially.
He objected to the vague term of "extreme or excessive preparation" and how it was labeled as being motivated by fear rather than faith. Do you think the church (and the population in general) has a meaningful problem with too many people engaging in extreme preparedness? Or, do you think we might have the opposite problem of too many people not being prepared adequately or prepared at all? The fact that you had to reference Waco, something that was anomalous and happened 31 years ago, as one of the "many" examples we've all watched who have taken prepping to the extreme, tells me that extreme prepping isn't really an issue at a church or societal level. Yet inadequate or no preparedness is epidemic. This means that to be "extreme" in preparedness is a pretty low bar. And yet those who prepare a lot more than the very low average are rebuked with the whole "acting in fear not faith" line. Why no rebuke for the vast majority who give very little thought and no effort to prepare? I know that is why that statement rubs me the wrong way and it's probably the same reason it rubs Watcher the wrong way, too.
@@davidjohnson7484 Look, I don't have a beef with Brother Palmer. I appreciate his insight on a lot of issues. I just feel like he was getting worked up over a phrase in the handbook when it isn't necessary. Luther can store up and prepare as much as he feels necessary. It is still true that there are members that go to the extremes when it comes to prepping. I have no desire to debate this issue. I think we should each prepare to the best of our ability. We cannot foresee the future. We could all lose everything tomorrow. All anyone can do is their best. Brother Palmer may be called upon to share what he is storing some day.
Many hears ago they told us to prepare for 7 years. Then it dropped to 2 years then down to one. Nelson hasnt revealed or prophesied anything that hundreds of preachers here on youtube havent been saying but most members are afraid to listen to them. I dont want to offend yo or anyone else but i view him as a president of a corporation but not the Lords anointed. God knows my heart. My faith in God has not been harmed but my trust in men/leaders of the church is gone. Thanks for your videos.
Your “survive” example was dumb. Most of the time you have intelligent things to say. Then you come out and say something so dumb it makes me question everything you’ve said. There is no contradiction between Nelson’s council and the council in the paragraph you “can’t stand”. You’re twisting. Do better. Gosh…you triggered me there for a second.
This is an interesting thing that happened to us. About two or three years ago, my husband would go to the grocery store and bring home little extras that we didn’t have on our list, and this went on and on and I finally said what’s with all this food? And he just said I just feel like getting extra food and it’s just a feeling I have. Like President Nelson said hear with your ears and stay close to Heavenly Father and receive revelation.
That handbook paragraph bugs me, too. Of course we should prepare, as we have been counseled! Here's a scripture that goes with your discussion: D&C 38:30 "If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear." Plus Luke 1:17 ".. make ready a people prepared for the Lord." And Here's a good one: Hebrews 11:7 "By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; "
It takes faith to follow the words of prophets and get extra food and other supplies as part of our household rotation, to have on hand in case of hardship or some need. I do think if folks panic about getting stuff, they probs are likely using their "lizard brains" (fight/flight/freeze impulses) and not best judgment or doing their preparations in an orderly manner. That happens sometimes.
Great discussion!
I don’t know why the church is worried about extreme prepping, hardly anyone is doing the bare minimum.
Shame on them. Everyone should be prepping.

Oh yeah. I have run into same thing.

So cool!
As usual, you are spot on! Spiritual preparedness & physical preparedness go hand in hand. How can you be spiritually prepared if you aren’t physically prepared?
The children of Israel when leaving Egypt didn’t have enough food for the journey. They were eating manna for a while were they.
It was more difficult for the Saints crossing the plains. Those who were less prepared suffered more even though many shared.
I don't listen to any media except those of you that get the real truth. Thank you for all you do! Love you & Sister P!! Yes!! THIS is a miracle!! I've been praying so so hard for this whole world! 🙏❤️⚘️
Noah wasn't saved by his spiritual preparation alone. He was still required to build the ark.
Weren't we told once that, "if ye are prepared, ye shall not fear"?
I think that is a fantastic idea. I agree wholeheartedly
Hey us too!
Looking for a trailer, too. Is yours an RV or pulled by a truck. How long is it? Brand?
Elder Bednar did give a talk a while back about food storage. But you’re right we don’t hear much about it these days
@@bethp8436
My thoughts exactly when I hear people say they’ve warned us enough.
This was amazing as always! Thank you for pointing out the contraries about prepping in the handbook. 🤪
Interestingly, the spirit has guided me to become an “extreme” prepper…
😅
Fear makes me want to.
Amen!
President Hinckley said that he did not think that “the time was HERE when there would be ….” In 2001 October conference he meant it was coming now right after the twin towers in New York City were destroyed. He didn’t mean that time would never come before the second coming.
..."Prepare EVERY NEEDFUL thing"...
@@watcherpalmerlds Agree
Are you talking about a rapture or a quickening?
I do not think we are going to miss out on the tribulations. Do your best. That's all you can do. If that is what you do, you will be in a good position whether the worst happens (death) or not.
@@goblincamper2004 my very first food storage was an extra container of salt. Then my next week’s shopping trip I brought home a couple of extra cans of green beans. It grew gradually from there. Anything extra is better than nothing at all.

If ye are prepared ye need not fear……..
@@bethp8436 yes, not normal at all! I pray you and yours are ok. blessings from so. Utah.

God be with your family, too.❤
It sounds like your children are still active? If so count yourself blessed.
I’m having the same struggle with my children, I have three one of our sons is an active member, but the other son is not and our daughter, the little girl I prayed so hard for has left the church and also left myself and her father, she wants nothing to do with us anymore, and it’s such a heartbreak.
Me too. ❤️

If ye are prepared ye shall not fear - both a commandment and a promise
"There will be no general warning to the membership that things will be shortly falling apart. We have been commanded to follow the signs of the times and that is all the warning we need or will be given, but the membership is asleep. Like the Ten Virgins, we have been commanded to watch and prepare, but like the people in the days of Noah, many members have become lulled into a sense of security. This "lack of warning" is designed to weed out the tares; the “All is well in Zion," crowd."

So sad.
I am bothered by the shift in the church period.
The world has gone bonkers!
The multilevel housing is very disturbing, no one should have to live this way.
They say seeding the clouds began as early as 1940’s..
Sadly I agree. Preparation has a bad flavor on the church these day's.
To me, the current statement on prepping in the handbook sounds like the kind of thing that would have been written as a compromise between two parties who have a serious disagreement about the issue.
I was reading that there were a lot of "Chem Trails" prior to Helene too
I totally prep out of fear…fear that my inability to prepare will cause me and my family to starve to death
If I “prepped out of faith” - I wouldn’t buy anything- because I would believe that the Lord would provide for all my needs…
Yeah, that’s a dumb section in the handbook
And…the Saints “prepped” for the trek out west ….🙄
Good points
I am so right here with you.
The church has a very large savings account to be use for various reasons. I have a $saving account and a food savings account. I think the church has set an example of being prepared and we should follow that example.

Yes Israel controls it now, yes it’s already been targeted and protected during the missile strikes.
@@jsummers-uk6gk I’ve wondered that myself. If it would become a casualty of war.
Totally an orchestrated play.
Strike is over for now
Mike Lee is the grandson or great grandson of Harold B Lee who was a conservative.

You miss the mark on Waco and this channel my friend.
