Cute kids! They don't know how happy they are by being raised on a little farm. They learn so much more than any school could teach them.
Probably the most healthy place for a kid to grow up. They learn how to work and the importance of family.
@@bored.in.california2111 Animals also teach children how to be loving, empathetic, interaction with the world, and being in touch with them own selves. It is absolutely the healthiest place for a child to grow up! Good points on teaching work and family. Teamwork and skills too.
I am homeschooled and get alot more opportunities to travel
Bless your homesteading , hobby farm heart! I love to see people going back to the country life! My husband and I grew up on and still have a real working farm both with livestock and crops. We actually have two huge farm yards and houses eight miles apart and several quarters of tillable land. Lots of work!!!
lol so condescending
So it wasn't just me who was shocked by that comment!
"all of the things." Awww the kids are so cute!
A good video in many ways. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've subscribed and am going to watch more. I have a lot to learn and could listen to you all day long. Oh and a very well thought out barn too.
You speak so well. Thank you
Thanks for Teach us this. God Bless you and your Family.
the kids are adorable! get it? kids? never mind
It may be a little confusing but what the hey? I call my four kids "baby" as well as their names, and all the other animals - cats, dogs, donkeys and grown goats - "Kidz" or their names. Before I got goats, everybody got called "Kid" , my female dog is named "Bebe" - -

beautiful little farm , good bar goat, congratulation
Very professional design. Congratulations!
Love the involvement of the kids, teaching them early. Great set up for the goats. How long did you have your YT & were you doing the videos, before you added on the Pioneer membership?
Thank you for your nice video!!!!
Perfect! Yours truly,The Transfarmer Philippines..Godbless you more!
your video is really helpful and may god bless you and your cute and beautiful children .
Thanks! Glad to help!
That's exactly what I was going to say. It looks like your a very nice guy and have adorable kiddos. Loved the video and appreciate the information. I just got 12 goats to eat down my pastures. Found out early on that isn't gonna work well because they spend all day climbing fences to nibble leaves or whatever. I've been struggling to find info on feeding them. Very informative..thank you!
This is the only goat barn video I have been able to find, great stuff. You said hard floor, is that concrete or just packed dirt? Also, really neat that you used wood from your land to build it, love that. Also, you painted the outside to protect against weather and warping? Oh, and it doesn't matter if there are gaps in the slats/panels in the exterior wall, is that needed for ventilation?
Sweet video great family
Thank you for the great video! Can you tell me how big is the goat barn?
I'm only hopefully getting one and my space is limited but she will also be inside
what vitamins and minerals do you give your goats?
what is the hard floor made of? concrete slab? does it extend though the entire barn or just where the water pump is?
I LOVED IT
I built a hay feeder and added a tray under it. Once the hay touches the ground mine won't touch it, so any they pull out and don't eat end up in the tray and I just scoop it back in the feeder.
I like the idea of a small farm with profits am like you in a lot of ways I don't want it to be a full time. but, would mind the extra income. I like the idea of cutting down on labor as much as I can. am just getting started so am thinking auto waters and feeders would be nice for all the animals just one less chore. but, we would still have to check on the animals everyday. just an idea
+iwantosavemoney yes! Auto waterers and feeders and even doors are great. As long as you check in on them, they can be a definite time saver.
I like your goat barn setup. very organized and seems like a winner
GREAT VIDEO
Thanks for taking the time to make and upload it.
We are setting up for our goats now to clear a lot of our brambles and scrub.
+DadianSystemsLLC they are certainly good for that!
看這種視頻很治愈!
I am just finishing up our new goat barn, 12x20 feet. We have four prego females getting close to kidding. We are in Alaska with cold spring weather. Burrrr.
Working on the inside now and will need room for two sow pigs to have there piglets soon as well. Thanks for your video!
+What is Really Going On? Wow, nice! Thats a great size barn for your goats and pigs! Do you have the pigs already?
yes we got them as late pigs in the fall so they are two sisters about 11 months old and we got a intact boar in with them for about a month now and we seen them breed.
so piglets are coming!
+What is Really Going On? WOw.. you guys are brave! We have not jumped into the Boar world yet! Nice work
Trying to be self sufficient and off grid is a big jump from life in town! LOL
Ok...but can you train your goats to attack bad guys on command?
They would never see it coming.
Rookie Freediver lol
Very nice 👍👍
I see you have an earless goat. How big of a problem is frostbite with goats. What is the best way to prevent it.
How do i convince my parents?I am gonna move to NC and maybe get goats.
❤❤Thank you 😊
Thanks for the video and tips! What's up with the brown goats ears?
She’s a lamancha, those breeds don’t have ears
Monzai From what i can tell she's a lamancha, which is a breed that has very small "gopher" type ears :-)
can you train them to poop in a particular spot in the yard?
How big is your barn?
Ahhh, cool video ! We are getting our first goat next week, a rescue 12 yr old doe..cannot wait, already have 7 rescue dogs and 6 rescue hens, our fluffybutts, doing LOTS of research as my other half outside building like crazy for Frances the goat 🤗
I am thinking about goat farming... but it is it a lucrative business?
Right now it just looks like fun and besides I have a craving for homemade Feta. ha ha
Do you spread goat manure on your fields for grass to grow better
Why did it say weed farm on the side of the hay truck
My'n is still on laying eggs please help
Thank u and love your videos
What state is this in?
What kind of goat is Lito? It looks like she has really tiny ears, I can't really tell her breed.
+Homestead Handicraft She is a Lamancha. They have tiny ears!
Talbot, it's 10 acres
Homesteady.com
bruh if i wee to travel somewhere or on a trip could i temporarily take the goats in a large bus
Precious family, great instruction and design. Thank you kindly. I appreciate and enjoyed very much.
Manchurian. Did I spot a Manchurian? So what do you think? A nice breed?
What do you use for temporary grounding? Or do you just leave them behind?
+Steve Poynter Not sure what your asking, We have electricity run to the barn if thats what you mean.
Sorry lol. Comment went to wrong video
haha, that makes more sense!
How do you manage rats infestation in the barn? And do you daily clean the goat poop and urine?
Does goat milk contain lactose?
+Katherine Taylor All milk contains a certain level of lactose. However, the amount of lactose found in goat's milk is about 10 percent less than cow's milk and about 40 percent less than human milk. Goat's milk is a natural alternative to cow milk and can comfortably be consumed by many patients who suffer from cow milk allergies or sensitivity. Many people with lactose intolerance can drink goat milk.
Awesome video
great video
My goats would jump right over that first setup 😂😂😂 nice though👍👍
We are getting goats in March,24.2018
My condolences. Haha just kidding... have fun but make sure those fences are perfect 😉
If they eat allot of hay you have to bring in allot of hay in the barn whats wrong with that ?
Hay = Money!
I have 6 goats and 2died 4 baby goats and a milking goat and one of the biggest goats in the world
You seem like a caring guy about your goats, yet, one thing though, don't let your son or daughter climb or step on the goats' hay...goats have very sensitive sense of smell, and can be very picky about the hey, if they sense that someone stepped or walked on it, they might not eat all of it and cause a waste of some hay...
What you say about the smell on the hay,you are dead wrong.
did one of your goats lose its ears to frostbite?
+Silas DeRoma No, the lamancha breed has small ears. hehe!
Thanks.
👌
If you don't mind me asking, how big is your property?
+Talbott Harrison 10 Acres
Why did the goats cross the road? To get to more weeds!
Where are the goats ears??
+Kelly Khan she a LaMancha breed of goat. They have small ears
Ohhhh weird but cool lol
I liked just for ur little ferries
Do you eat your goats?
+Ajs Homestead Yes, the males that we don't plan on breeding get put in the freezer
best milk in the world . nice party
That's is good
Squaallsquall aqall hill
what is wrong with the ears?...I thought goats had big ears.
+Always Kintyre Argyll not all breeds. Lamancha have small ears, like Litos
Your barn is great, but I would recommend not keeping your full supply of hay in it as hay is known to selfcombust. I know of three barns that recently went up in flames, one lost more than 50 livestock, including two kids I was buying.
Kathleen if hay gets wet, it can begin to decompose. This is what causes it to combust.
DaHamburgler...No that is not true. if hay is not properly cured/dried before it is baled it will sweat and the sweating process is what causes heat of high enough temperatures to start fires also this sweating can cause the hay to mold and rot. If the hay gets rained on after bailing it generally will only rot...however there are other conditions that will cause sweating/heat...if you stack new, fresh, properly dried, hay too tight in the barn especially in hot temperatures it can can cause the heating and sweating process......All new fresh hay MUST be loosly stacked to provide airflow to reduce the natural heat!!!! Never never NEVER stack fresh hay tightly!!! ALWAYS check your hay for mold because if your animals are not used to it, can become sick or die from eating moldy hay.!!! I have owned a farm and bailed hay and had horses, cows, pigs, chickens, other animals for many many years. I hope this helps someone.
How do you become a pioneer
+Guinea Pig Funtime go here --->www.thisishomesteady.com/head-west-become-pioneer/ :)
+Homesteady I will become pioneer real soon😉
Thanks! It helps us keep these going each week!
+Homesteady Could u do a how to raise goats this week or next week
+Homesteady what is your most favorite goat for milk
Perfect barn. Where are the bucks? You live in a warm area and have pet goats lmao
No
Are these the goats that made you hate goats? Lol
Cute goats, but don't let your kids climb on the hay or sit in the full feeders. Their boots are caked with mud and fecal matter, high risking bacteria and parasites getting injested that'll give your animals stomach worms. Keep Safeguard handy in case they do.
Dog swquqll uphill
two things I hate with these videos. 1. no one ever tells you where they are from, because territory has a lot to do with raising goats, also no one ever tells you how many goats they have in their setup.
Two things I love about UA-cam. The comments section allows me to answer questions people have even after I make the video and upload it…. Connecticut and 4 goats. 2. Getting constructive criticism like this allows me to do better in the future. 😁
kdudududf
My goats would jump in the hay feeder pee and poop on the hay and stop eating it...
im sorry but it looks to small but im 1 min in to the vid
nvm XD
What a beautiful family. Jesus saves and the earth is flat stationary and enclosed Amen
how to make your goat gain weight
What happened to that tan females ears? I'm not too knowledgeable about goats sorry haha
zekehbu that’s just how that breed ears are it’s called lamancha. You can look them up.
Annoying due to disruptions by the children and unintelligible babble. Would not recommend. Kids are cute but . . .
I found it adorable. You know there were subtitles so you could see what they were saying, right?
Who could be critical of children in a video about animal care? More interesting to most of us. You would have to be an old goat to complain.
Raymond Stefan no wonder you're single. If you don't like the kids then don't watch the video. I could show you hundreds of goat videos without kids in them, so why don't you go find some of them.
Agreed Jadyn Geez, there surely must be so old cranks in the world and they gather here. I should not insult the goats to call them old goats.
Raymond Stefan. Go back to school you can't spell
Owning two goats doesnt make you expert enough to give advice to others. I saw so many bad things in your set up! Learn some more before setting a bad example to others. You are wasting so much hay its unbelievable!!
Thank you for your nice video!!!!
Does goat milk contain lactose?
Yes it has lactose. However, it's much less and many lactose intolerant people find they can drink it anyways just because it is digested so much faster. I'm allergic to protein compounds in cow milk, can't digest the fats, and am lactose intolerant (I know, fun combination), but I love goat's milk and have no issue with it.
