Their conversation somehow managed to be heartwarming & heartwrenching all at once its clear she misses him And it clear he cares about her But that stupid reaper curse changes everything how very sad poor guy
Technically he ended up digging his own grave. Though the Lord of Calamity that was 300 years prior to Zestiria forced his hand. He had no other option but to become a Dragon and eat the Lord of Calamity.
I really have to admire the writers for having such a believable meeting between these two to the point where I think if this really happened in one of the games this would be how it'd go down for real. Anybody else would've used this as a chance to have a bunch of interactions between the two but they stayed true to the history behind these two and didn't over step, truly great restraint on the writers part.
Imagine Zaveid meeting Zaveid. Probably gonna just be the two fighting each other for fun (no killing duh) and whatever the outcome Zestiria Zaveid is gonna give Besaria Zaveid the line something like "sometimes we have to do something that we don't want to do. So when that time comes, you gotta do it"
It's a constant reminder of how he exudes bad luck so so do I...but it also sports the likenesses of Dhaos and Martel and I can't get over how awesome that is.
It reminds me of demon slayer where this one girl always flipping a coin to decide what she wants to do. Eizens curse is really Frustrating it makes me sad. If m honest something about Scene makes me think does he flip the coin just of fun(cuz he tries Multiple times in Beseria) or did he flip the coin while he was thinking "will I return to my sister"
What are you talking about? None of them would know that Laphicet is Maotelus. Maybe Edna would know but Eizen and Laphicet haven't experienced those events yet. Sorey and Mikeleo wouldn't know that the Fifth Emperyion was once Laphicet either. And also why did you bring that up anyway?
@@SUPERSIDESWIPER Apparently Maotelus is just Laphiset translated to the ancient tongue, so it wouldn't be impossible for Sorey to make the connection. Of course even if he did notice he might write it off as a coincidence.
God i found Zestiria boring when i played it and only thing that got me going was helping Edna but i saw spoilers that Eizen dies. The when Berseria came out and I found out it was a prequel, i immediately became disinterested. Until Eizen was revealed as a party member. Now i HATE Zestiria for having Eizen die. I Love Berseria and knowing that it leads to that shit is sad....
Actually it's the reunion of a brother who can't go near his sister for fear that his very presence would cause her harm and a little sister who desperately wants to be able to live with her brother but knows painfully well that he won't stay with her because he cares far too much for her safety to risk it.
It’s called a complex relationship, not everyone outwardly shows the person they love affection through happiness and crying Sometimes it just...bittersweet
The reaper's curse prevents him from ever being close with her, basically eizen has cataclysmically bad luck and it tends to get a lot of people around him killed. to avoid this getting edna killed eizen goes out of his way to keep his distance for her own safety as much as his own peace of mind. If eizen lived around her for more than a month edna might end up dying to some misfortune, the way he expresses his love is by staying the hell away from her.
@@jakedge3 Also it must be noted that it seems to get particularly bad around Edna if Eizen's stories of their days living together are anything to go by.
@@Darkbeast42 yes and no. Yes in that we're dealing with copies of various heroes, No in that this battle will have no bearing's on the original them, they don't have to fight to each other to the death and they don't require mana to keep them around.
Eizen's mouth: be seeing you then
Eizen's heart: *as long as you are safe and well. I'm satisfied*
great, you made me tear up.
Eizen: hi.
Edna: hi.
Eizen: okay bye
Edna: bye

Totally agree. Everyone is in-character and the interactions aren’t overly fanservicey.
Damnnnnn, Eizen Laphicet and Velvet trio looks like a real family
Hell yeah!
Eizen is only for Edna worm.
This is actually very heartwarming and brings a smile to my face
It's perfect, I was pleased.
- Eizen and Endna meets -
Both: Understandable have great day.
I want to see some AFFECTION but also this behavior makes perfect sense and that makes me sad. These poor siblings.

You'd think a crazy attack would occur due to the Reaper's Curse. Eizen just has the worst luck, doesn't he?
And then it wasnt long before they reunited again.
1:20 breaks my heart, honestly

Aw mann I was expecting a hug.
If you want a slightly more satisfying scenes, look up their tales of arise cameo.
kinda want more yet this also seems perfect as is as well...i'm so very conflicted!
When you realize eizen is 30 and edna is like in her teens the oldest and youngest siblings ever
More like Eizen is 30 and Edna is at least a thousand but still acts like a teen
Did they forget that Laphicet = Maotelus and BOOM
Yeah lol
Not everyone is Exoflected from the end of their journey, so THIS Velvet, Eizen, and Laphicet don't know that yet.

Yes. Sadly. Though a similar game, Tales of Crestoria will be released soon so bear with it.

Yep.
This is canon???
I dont think so
To Berseria/Zestiria? No, as these two are actually copies of Edna and Eizen. To Ray's? Yep it is.

What did you expect, considering Eizen's condition? This was sadly almost exactly what I expected
