Please graft a known variety. Mango from seed is a waste of time. 1%-5% of getting an ok tasting fruit after 5-7yrs. Graft and you will be eating tasty fruit in 1-3yr. Do your research
I tried this, and unfortunately did not work as ex[ected. Here, in Bay Area, this mixture retains too much moisture in humid winters -- when watered, takes several weeks to completely dry out. Even the 50lbs sand bags that I have bought from big box stores remain moist throughout the winter. The top half may appear dry, but if I remove the soil from the pot, the bottom half is more than moist.
It's been a slow grower but it did well over winter. No die back which is a success for me :) I'm hoping now it will start to put out some growth since weather is warmer and I just put it out in full sun.
Excellent soil mix. Sand is underrated as a potting medium.
I do have 3 of these that i grew from seeds!! I’m excited to see this video..
I've tried a few different mixes and so far this mix has given me the best results for my grow zone

Is it hard to grow mangoes in Dallas Texas?
You need to protect it during winter and need an acidic well draining soil
Is this sea sand?🧐🤔

Sea sand is okay for help in drainage but depends where you live
How big is the mango now? How fast do they grow here?

@@albongardens3199 hmmm so all you have to do is avoid frost like a citrus tree? And it will be ok?
@@albongardens3199 can you see if my mango seed is properly in the water to germinate well? Do you think it will germinate like it is?
@@blaynesplantvlog7117 Yep. The two biggest issues with tropicals are the cold and over watering. If you can avoid those you should be good.
@@blaynesplantvlog7117 I've never tried the water method with mango seeds. I just stick them in soil and they usually do fine
