  • The last few weeks have seen an uptick in deep strikes both by Russia and Ukraine. Earlier today there was even a reported drone strike on the Kremlin in Moscow. This new platform that Ukraine is working with, or what they've modified, will likely play a big role in the coming weeks.

    2 train derailments and 2 oil storage facilities Vs what 50 shaheeds, 18 cruise missiles and dozens of FABs doing the same thing to Ukraine? Yet all the media coverage focusses on a couple of Ukrainian PR attacks and dismisses that they are being hit ten times worse. Makes no sense.
    In Ukrainian Kropyvnytskyi (Kirovohrad), Russian drones hit an oil depot last night. In the morning, the head of the Kirovograd region Andrey Raikovich announced this:
    "About three in the morning, 3 shaheeds "Geran-2" immediately attacked an oil depot in the regional center. There were no casualties. All services worked quickly. Elimination of the consequences of the arrival began immediately. Information about the damage is being specified."
    Another kamikaze UAV hit the building of the military registration and enlistment office in Konstantinovka, Donetsk region.
    Air defense systems, communication centers and deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Kyiv, Sumy, Kirovohrad regions and near Kherson were hit. Under the cover of darkness, Russian troops carried out a series of attacks with kamikaze drones and glide bombs. Explosions thundered in Sumy, Kyiv, Kirovograd, Dnepropetrovsk regions.
    On the territory of the Sumy region, the points of deployment of the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit.
    It is reported that Geran-2 kamikaze drones were able to destroy several enemy anti-aircraft missile systems near Kiev.
    Communication centers and accommodation facilities for the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the right bank of the Kherson region were also destroyed.

    FYI
    “On 17 July 2014 Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 (MH17/MAS17) was shot down by Russian-controlled forces on 17 July 2014, while flying over eastern Ukraine. All 283 passengers and 15 crew were killed.”
    If a professional saboteur, terrorist and FSB officer had a CV, the quote above would be the very first line in it. It will be followed by the responsibility for the forced disappearance and murder of residents of Chechnya's mountain village of Khatuni and nearby settlements, fighting for Russia-backed Transdnistria and Republika Srpska separatists in Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina, the key role in annexation of Crimea by the Russian Federation, and later the war in Donbas as an organizer of militant groups.
    The problem with Strelkov-Girkin is that after numerous crimes and issued life sentence, now he streams on the internet, blaming Russian military authorities and government for underperformance (more of a complete disaster) in the war in Ukraine.
    If you haven’t seen the problem yet: everyone who criticises Russian government and Putin himself - gets eliminated. F.e. Boris Nemtsov a former deputy prime minister of Russia (shot 4 times the back in Moscow), Natalia Estemirova journalist specialized in uncovering human-rights abuses (gunshot wound to her head), Alexander Litvinenko former KGB/FSB agent (poisoned in London hotel with deadly polonium-210) etc.
    So, if Russia “keeps it clean” and eliminates all informational danger, how can a person directly linked to FSB, war criminal and wanted terrorist go out in public and openly criticize everyone in Russian top leadership?
    The answer is easy: it’s just another operation, informational this time. His job is to make average people think that Russian military and political administration is stupid, dumb, and can’t do anything. They can, they want us to think otherwise. They are cruel, carnivorous and cunning. Don’t get caught and don’t give them a chance to tweak your mind - they will if you do.

    The thing about the Moscow drone attack is that the Ukrainian MoD denied involvement, which they never did before. They simply did not comment, like with the Kerch Straight Bridge. Additionally, there's a growing Russian separatist movement, that have been derailing trains and firebombing recruitment offices and the like since very early in the war (Popular Front did an interesting piece on them). I believe it is likely that both train derailments and the Kremlin attack was carried out by these separatists, though coordination with the Ukrainian MoD is a possibility.

    A simple explanation for why Russia used a large number of bombers: if you are trying to get the enemy to expend their remaining SAM’s, then launching a large number of planes as decoys seems a smart move. Which planes are carrying the actual missiles?

    • @Rdifycuvi
      @Rdifycuvi Рік тому

      SAM's are targeting the missiles launched by the aircraft. Not the aircraft themselves. If the radar signals are collected by the aircraft they can geo-located the radar for future attacks

    You can see the drone flying into the Kremlin, and it’s way too small to have flown from Ukraine. Small Drone + Small explosion in a dramatic location below the flag + Russia’s response = false flag.

    • @bigbigmurphy
      @bigbigmurphy Рік тому

      That's not a small drone, and it is possible to have the range but I highly doubt it flew all the way from within the Ukraine. It's Nord Stream explosion again, all parties have plausible deniability, yet, the end goal are the same, to escalate the war.

      Ukriane lied aswell, because they know NATO won't supply them with weapons. And some of the territories they captured are literally on the border. Knowing how poorly trained the Russians are, they could have snuck in and launched it then fleed.

    Ukrainian offensive can't be far off now.
    Ukraine tends to strike deep while they maneuver. For example, the Kherson offensive accelerated in late September 2022. The Kerch bridge was struck on October 8th. I don't think that's a coincidence. It introduces complicating factors in the Russian command. Ukraine has been using their limited capability fairly artfully. Meanwhile Russia just lobs deep strikes without any meaningful coordination with ground maneuver.

      Russia's campaign of terror when it targeted Ukraines electrical grid and mercilessly bombarded civilian sectors were not by accident. There goal was to instill terror so violent that Ukraine would surrender. So far, it hasn't worked so well.

    Anyone else notice at 8:17 there are two people on the roof (potentially drone operators or fire crews), the drone is a quad-copter flying at low speed, and it actually isn't touching anything when it explodes. You can see the drone is silhouetted by sky and is not falling in pieces but as one continuous vehicle. It really looks like someone strapped C4 to a commercial drone blew it up as propoganda.

Just look at its history, every attack on Crimea - win for attacker.

    I feel like they are firing off what they can replace through production. They also may have used this as a way to show that they can still put out alot of firepower but are making a good will gesture in the Russian mind by not using that firepower. All of those were nuclear capable so it could be a show to NATO it is willing to use nukes if Ukraines counter offensive is very effective.

    Actually it would be quite simple to wire those chinese drones as kamikazes. Even if they don't have a triggerable output. The website says they have disc brakes. A kamikaze drone wouldn't have much need for those. All Ukraine has to do is wire the brakes to a trigger for the explosives, pair that with an impact fuse and voila.

    Train derailments do not have to be sabotage. They are running more trains with more cargo... overlooking standard safety protocols. You are gonna have some accidents. Did they give a pass for not getting drafted to railyard workers with experience? Missing staff can also increase the rate of accidents.

    • @PrestonStewart
      @PrestonStewart  Рік тому +6

      Valid points, a lot of possible causes there. The location of the derailments, in Bryansk where there's been some border crossings over the last few months, makes me lean a little more towards sabotage but in fairness I don't believe I've seen confirmation in any direction.

    The worlds most dangerous job is to be 4th crew member in an ancient Soviet tank T54/55/62 nobody knows how to operate. You've had zero training. Your team has zero training. The platoon and its company have zero training. Here come the Ukrainians trained, rested and motivated to kill. It's very similar to Gulf War 1 kids. The NATO/US intel is overwelming.Ukraine knows the next Russian chess move before they do.

The leader of Wagner ( I don't remember how to spell his name) could begin to look to the people the RF as a good replacement for Putin, if he can live long enough. And at the other extreme if he gained a lot of support from the population and the lower ranks of the military. He could stage a coup. "Beware of living in interesting times!" Good discussion Preston! Are you sure you weren't "field grade"?

It would really help me if you would give me both metric and imperial units when you're talking about distances, weights, and temperatures. That way, I can start to get used to the metric system and eventually make the switch.

      Ukraine retook Kherson city on November 12 2022, also taking everything Russia had occupied on the western side of the Dniepro. In September, Ukraine retook 12,000 sq km east of Kharkiv, pushing Russia out of the Kharkiv oblast entirely. Yeah, Ukraine has promised counteroffensives for a year, and Ukraine has consistently delivered. Russia is too weak to stop them and too weak to advance more than a few kilometers here or there along the front. And that at disastrous cost in soldiers, ammo, and weapons. O7 from America. Slava Ukraini!
