Is Relic farming worth it at Trailblaze level 50? I discuss it in this video.
In general, I believe farming relics at TB 50 is not worth it, but doing it isn't the worst thing either. My recommendation would be to farm it only if you need relics but don't chase "perfect" pieces until TB 60. This goes for both Cavern of Corrosion and Simulated Universe Immersion rewards.
I also discuss the importance of Golden Calyx materials (Credits, XP papers, and Light Cone XP). These are very important to save up, as upgrading characters and light cones from 70 to 80 takes a lot of these resources.

If you don't care about memory of chaos and are in no rush you can start farming relic at 60
I haven't even done floor 11 of the normal one yet. It's pointless to worry about memory of chaos rn atleast for me. I've built 6 characters rn and now building 3 more to make a second team

@@adnanhussain9057 you can full stars the forgotten hall with lv60 character little to no investment and beat some memory chaos, just need to make the right team and understanding the game knowledge, right now i have 4 stars in memory chaos so at least i got 60 gems before the reset👍, is not that much gems but for a f2p is something😂
it's not possible to rush moc anyways because farming 4 star relics sub stats is just not worth it
I think it's okay to farm a bit of relic just to make your characters somewhat useful and not to fully level up artifacts at TB
Pretty much. At the end of the day all of this min max efficiency wont mean shit in a long run but earlier progression is better for enjoyment and jades.
TB50-60 is where we start to 3s MoC. Crappy relic is enough for decent progression but absolutely 0 exp relic wont. Might as well hoard every thing until TB 70 or something.
Yes your characters being relicless isn’t ideal, so spending some trailblaze power to get some is totally fine
@@N01R84 the max difficulty is ended on 60, so don't care a lot about 70... as soon u reach 60, it's the time that you unlock your storage
It's more practical to pre-farm for ascension and traces materials. It's a permanent upgrade for characters without gamble.

Thanks for the suggestion, used 8 fuel for Seele's artifacts and everything I got was bad. Will focus on levels and light cones before moving on to traces.

I think its better to farm relics, otherwise youre going to have a hard time to fight monster, forget about the substat, just get the right main stat, even 4 star relic will do. You can feed these relics to your 5 star relic with better substats later on in the game. "Forget about the substat" is the key, because youre going to feed these relic to a better one.
If you need relics because you don’t have any, then yes farming relics is fine. I would say don’t overdo it, since you can farm the maxed out Gold Calyx materials until you reach 60 and get better value from your trailblaze power for relics at that level
The thing is you can use 4 star relics that you get in chests for free, as well as weekly boss relics until you get to tb 60. I haven’t farmed any relics and have decent builds and focusing on my traces and levelling up first. Relics are heavily luck & rng dependant so better get guaranteed upgrades first. Plus the huge spike in grinding for tb 60 is gunna be a pain, better to start earlier.
Simple and straightforward advise. Thanks. My way of farming is dictated by Memory of Chaos Purple mission. But yes, I avoid the relic path and focus on level and light cone.

This is actually pretty good advice. I also think that i need to prioritize on their talents and leveling them up first, bc it’s not worth to consume 40 trailblaze power just to get one 5 star artifact at trailblaze level 45. I dont really care about memory of chaos at this moment cuz i play for leisure, so it’s best if i can spend the trailblaze power on farming EXP and materials first. As long as i can survive w bosses at this moment, it would be fine.
I think that’s a good approach. I also believe Genshin’s Spiral Abyss has also warped (No pun intended) the perception of things like Simulated Universe and Memory of Chaos. Some people are trying to clear the hardest combat difficulty and the game hasn’t even been out for that long. Taking your time and being efficient is the way to go Imo. How efficient you want to be depends on what you want to do

Also i personally don't see the point in telling people not to farm pre TL 60, that is 10 levels off from the TL cap,
The requirement of Trace is waaay higher than relic farming. You can level it to certain level yes. Or simply open all their skill first before decide which character u should prioritize. But relics. Once u get a good one you can always swap those relics.
That’s true. The only issue is that relics are random. It also depends on if you get a relic that is good with your characters you use. For example getting something like 15% effect hit rate is good if you use March but terrible if you use someone who doesn’t care about effect hit rate.
First people said you should wait until TL 40 to farm relics. Then they said you should wait until 50.
Now you should wait until TL 60. In two years the rule will be "wait until you reach TL 70 and have all traces maxed" 😂
I mean, when you're going for efficiency, it's better to be higher level. TL 40 you start to get 5 star relics, so definitely don't start farming until then. 60 is when it gets more efficient though, so if you are able it's better to wait until then to farm.
I appreciate this video because you are the first person to actually mention this. Everyone's yelling to farm traces and relics but clearing an extra 3-6 stars in Moc = 160 jade per 2 weeks. Which is worth 192 energy = 19h. Therefore farming correctly yields a better time investment.
I'm glad I could share my perspective to you. I wasn't sure of the math but yeah it doesn't seem right to farm relics at TB 50.
The relic farming startegy really only helps with getting a better probability of being efficient, not actually guuarnteeing it. You can get lucky and get a great 5* relic at TL 40, or you can do 10 runs at TL 60 and get nothing of value. All in all tho there is no denying that farming credits and books at TL50-60 is the most effificent way to spend your energy.
Definitely, it’s up to you what you want to spend trailblaze power on. Going for character upgrades is the safer option. Like you said, it’s only to help with the possibility of being more efficient, not guaranteeing it. I think people like to go for both consistency and efficiency
i've been farming relic since i turn level 40 and i just turn to level 50 yesterdeay and you convinced me so i decided to stop farming now and instead farm for materials

Yes that's a good plan. I did the same thing and it's fine to spend some trailblaze power to do it. After that, I wouldn't relic farm until 60.
I reccomend farming mats from TL 10 - 40 and along the way when you need more relics are only when you really need to clear forgoten hall
Yes exactly. Farm materials as much as possible and do Cavern of Corrosion if you need relics to put on your characters
I was planning on farming relics upon reaching eq lvl 4 as I thought it will yields like 2 five stars for each 40 trailblazer but now that you've mentioned it...

nah ideally you want to farm relics from 40-50 when its 1 gold guarantee and from 50-60 full golden calixes of exp and money, lc are important too but they dont use nearly as much materials to level up as characters do so theyre lower priority i feel

If you need relics, doing Cavern of Corrosion a few times is perfectly fine. I would recommend not overdoing it though. In my experience, trailblaze power is much more useful on upgrading characters and light cones

I make 3-4 runs per char who need some gold relics (is ok get 2 gold 2 purple from 1 set end stop). Also you get nice relics from weeky bosses. And now only farm Traces, Books, Cones exp etc. Better get stable and pridictible power upgrade than spend all stamina on casino with 0 result.
Yes exactly. Relics can be good if you luck into it, but I think having guaranteed power is more consistent and the safer option

Yes I’d also rather have more power right away instead of leaving it to RNG. You can farm a little bit of relics if you need it, otherwise I wouldn’t bother
i think its alright to do relics at EQ3/tb40+, you can use doodoo relics as exp fodder or to recycle into making boots, chest or a link piece and if you have a resin you can make a sphere, my gear's almost done already and im not even tb 50 but it requires a little bit of luck, still just weigh the odds and you'll be fine - it should still be one of the last things you do aside from leveling weapons, main dps and their traces
tbf sub stats are weaker in this game anyway so 4 star relics are more valuable too imo

It’s not a good idea to be relicless, which is why I mentioned that doing it to make sure your characters have at least something to use is fine. But if you don’t upgrade your characters and you have nothing but relics, it won’t really be that beneficial
I'm currently TL 53, my plan rn is to farm ascension and farm some exp book and credit, i will start farm trace material when the 1.1vr come out there will be a event that double the drop for calyx (Golden,Crimson only)
That’s a good plan. Any golden calyx material will be needed later at TB 60
Can you do a video comparing the power increase from leveling your characters vs farming for just the right 4pc set and main stat? I'm talking from a TBL 4 perspective
your dps needs to be at max 10 levels lower than the enemy you are facing or the dps you do to them will not really be enough, and the damage they do to you will make you use skill points on utility. 4 pc quantum is probably the most important thing, everyone else can just use some mixed stuff or WW, obviously they'll do better with parts of their set etc

leveling, as said, is important cause base stats are increased. You can always use musketeer for generic use for literally everyone' only qua set offers way more value than the lightning is vs musketeer, for example.

I just farm relics 8 times each week for the pass and then go back to exp and credits for now untill tl 60. I'm also ignoring memory of chaos for now because I don't wanna build characters I won't end up using later on, just for a few jades. Just focusing on one team is good enough for now.
If your main concern isn't about combat then farming whatever is fine. For people who care about efficiency for combat content, then I think relic farming is inefficient. But if you just want relics to play the game without worrying about MoC, then farming relics is not a big deal at that point.
I farm relics and use trailblaze most of the time to get to level 60 ASAP so that I can use my daily energies to farm traces mats and no longer need to farm relics in the long run aside from the new characters that I'm going to get.
If you’re doing it to accelerate to TB60 and also farm some potential good pieces, that can work. All the trailblaze power that refills on its own at 60 will become more valuable at that point
and the thing is even if you have good relics, if youre underleveled in chaos halls youll do less damage and take more damage, so get exp first so you dont get those debuffs
Been focusing on ascending the characters and their weapons at the moment (then afterward traces). No regrets, since I'm giving some time till the cake start properly baking.
Yep, you also have a lot of time between 50-60 so there’s no rush to get everything up right away
I just hang out on tb 50 its a month now and I still don't do the eq mission because I am kinda saving materials so I just go at different calyx everyday
Ive been dumping my trailblaze power since i hit 50 into farming the next ascension mats for my main team. Since it requires at least 35 mats for 70 - 80. After i get that, its onto XP papers yay
Can never go wrong with Credits, and Character XP and LC XP materials....since they have "Constant Value".
Compared to Traces and Relics RNG BULLCRAP.
Still gonna farm some main stat relics to get higher stars in MoC for some stellar jades. Majority of them is still going into exp now though since it is now max rewards.
After seeing some tl 60 player grinding talent materials in tl 50 is so worth it

Although I feel like as f2p, this would not be issue in the future but rn, it really pain farming for resources. I made a plan to spend a bit just getting one welkin and one battlepass to show support but the games create lot of good characters and support role that you really need to build.
It takes time, but once you get your characters up, it’s very much worth it. If you want to buy a welkin/BP, it will definitely make it easier

Farming relics at lv 50 is fine. If you ascend your characters and lightcones first. You also get credits by farming relics. I did that instead of farming credits and it gave me enough credits to level more stuff
It's not terrible to farm relics at 50, but you shouldn't overdo it Imo.

Yes it gets very expensive, especially from 70-80. All the credits, xp papers, and aethers you get from playing the game aren’t enough. Farming Golden Calyx is necessary even if you buy the BP
Currently TL 57 and a half. I’ve farmed relics but that’s just because I’ve been jade refreshing and I wanted my jing to be strong. Which he is now at 71 crit rate to 183 crit dmg 2.4k atk and nearly 130 spd. I have all the materials to lvl 80 jing and seele and there light cones. Working on a tiny bit of trace material but I don’t see it as worth it because they max out at 60 so I’ll probably just grind more exp books and credits incase I get silver wolf because I’ll be going 1 pity in the banner if I get her great if I don’t easy loucha.

Got to 40+ TL and right now spending some energy to farm "healer/ATK relics" domain, just to have something on my team. Cause now I need 8 sets for 2 teams. Don't care about sub stats, just main ones and exp to level them.
After this gonna lvl traces for main heroes and rest will be farm of EXP domains till TL 50
Yes that’s a good plan. Farm relics just to have something to use and then you’ll have enough power to build your way up once you reach TB50. This is the most efficient way to go Imo

They want all of us to feel the pain of RNG within RNG
40-50 is not a choise you can search for gold relics but important thing focus only for gold lines no more .
Why here it is :
Lets say drop is 100% right.
For get item which you want is 50/50%
So for gold line stats is 25%
And for substrats properly is 5% chance but to found very good substrats you have 1% chance. Because we have 5 substrats as total overall item bonus.
Easy math right.
So as you know you have to spend more resources
It is not worth it to hunt for substrats until you dont finish your traces lightcones etc.
Just when you will be only hunt relics you can play with it but now you should focus only for gold lines for better start on lv 50 +complete set 4 parts as you can for your mains, but dont forget untill get 47 lv because on this level you have to farm books for next assension.
But if you not farm them at all thats okay always can do it on 60 lv while will be daily for bP.
Or echo of war.
Also do not throw so fast relics you can use them to complete sets for your future team instead search at next.
The one who will be not parted just melt them and do not craft any artefacts because you need them for the end. While will be reroling substrats for your future set.
And on lv 60 is you just hunt only for 2 pieces set.
Because this level is double drop so more exp for improving you main stuff.
+prepere your 2nd team slowly not resources but exp char minimum 60 all elements the best have because world on simulate universe will be make us to push you into different elements for better dps.❤
On 70 you just farm only resources and books. And 80 end game. You farm what you want and prepere everything for next banners char.❤
As soon as i hit lv 50 all of my character already at lv 70, so do light cone, traces im doing fine, waiting for weekly, still going to farm relic tho, resource management 🥴🤫
There's no need to farm for 5 star relics. Any relic of rarity will be good enough as you try to make-do with the head, arms and legs and upgrade them to level 6-7 . However the only priority is probably to persue the main stat of your body relic as it's the determining game changer.
I also had a feeling 5 star relics were unnecessary until later. I think getting them when the game gives them to you is good enough until TB60. And getting a 5 star glove relic is an ideal piece to get if you don’t want to farm them, since it’s always flat ATK.
I'm TB 49, once i hit 50 I'll farm relic only for my main dps (selee). U need a good dps to clear mobs & boss with ease not pain in the ass every run

You get about 3000 to 3500 trailblaze XP a day from dailies + trailblaze power. Not an exact calculation, but I think it’s somewhere between 2-3 weeks
As a f2p it took me pre farming from tb 43 to 50 and a week extra to level up my current team of 4 i was out of everything credits and mats farming relics will be after months ig with this rate
If you need relics, I think doing Cavern of Corrosion occasionally is fine. Otherwise yeah, upgrading characters is more worth it

You’ll be fine, the trailblaze power regenerates over time. All those relics are also salvageable for relic XP later
if you have a limited 5* dps and signatue light cone, farm a full 5* set relic and lvl up that character, build her/him properly, no mater you lvl 40 or 50, because at lvl 50 the difficuty spike up monster become stronger, if you dont have a proper built dps by then you will feel under power and have to rely on support character, by having a good dps you will have a feel of progress, you still have to build 1 dps of every element anyway, so the strugger of resoure will get to you soon or later, if you dont farm at lvl 50 because it yeild less then how do you have the power to farm when monster has become way stronger ? and if everyone hold back, whose character you gonna use then lol
Upgrading characters by farming Calyx materials guarantees you will become stronger, and can use 4 or even 3 star relics better. Farming for 5 star relics is more inconsistent because relics can be random
I'm splitting my time to which things I farm based on my Trailblaze Level (TL). I'm on TL52 right now and has been farming relics for some times. I'm planning to keep farming relics until TL55. If I get what I want, then that's great! But if not, so be it. Since it will take 1 until 3 weeks to reach TL60 (from 55), I'll use that time to farm something else like exp books, ascension materials, or traces. In other words, TL50 - TL54 farming relics and TL55 - TL60 farming other mats (most preferably ascension materials for the characters that I'm 100% sure I'll ascend and character exp books)

Yeah, balance is the key.. And even if u get trash relics and one good, it woukd need much fodder which would be hard to get if u leave it till 60 like some will😂
Does it actually take 3 weeks to get from 55-60 without refreshing? About 7 days ago it hit TL 50 and then started refreshing I’m rank 57 and a half now I didn’t think refreshing gave that much exp
@@youabsolutebaka3529 The pattern I'm seeing is that every time we level up, the number of exp that we need increases by around 500 (e.g. from TL52 - TL53: 6630 exp, TL53 - TL54: 7130 exp, TL54 - TL55: 7640)
Per day, as an F2P on TL50-TL59, every time we complete a daily we get 320 exp. Multiply that by 5 and we get 1600 exp per day.
We also get some exps by burning stamina. Every 10 stamina we burn, we get 50exp. So assuming we burn 200exp per day, that is plus more 1000exp.
So in total, we get 2600 per day by just doing dailies and burning stamina alone.
Now assume that we're in my case where I am TL 54 and want to go to TL 55. It means I need 7640 exp or roughly 3 days worth of farming (2600 * 3 (days) > 7640). If it'll take me around 3 days alone from TL 54 - TL 55, it will definitely increase to 4 days worth of farm to level up per level before TL 60.
So if we take the worst case which is around 4 days of farm per level up, then it'll take me 4 (days) * 5 (levels needed from 55 to 60) which will be around 20 days or (almost) 3 weeks; hence my super hyperbolic range from 1 - 3 weeks on the previous comment
Now let's take refueling into consideration. Let's say we refuel 120 stamina per day. (120 (refuel) / 10) * 50 (exp gained per 10 stamina burn) will lead us to 2600 (prev total stamina) + 600 (from refuel) total exp per day (So the total exp per day will be around 3200).
This makes farming TL exp easier because we heavily reduce the number of "4 days worth of farming" each time we want to level up (Now it'll take around 2 - 3 days worth of farm each time we want to level up)

What if the exp required to level up doesn't increase by 500 each time we level up? What if I burn 240 stamina per day instead of 200? What if I take more refuel per day? What if I also burn the free refuels that I get along the way? What if there are other source of exp that I miss? Worse yet, what if I miscalculate something? haha
These factors might explain why you are able to level up fastly from TL50 - TL57 in 1 week

Pretty much. But cracked relics don’t do much either if your characters aren’t upgraded. It depends
I'm not even thinking about farming it until I hit a wall in power where I can't pass certain challenges besides MoC 6+. Not to say that it's a bad idea or not optimal, I just personally like playing with a challenge. When everything comes easy, the games combat is much less enjoyable.

That makes sense. For example I find Genshin too easy now because I pretty much 1 shot everything and there isn’t much of a challenge. Star Rail feels more like a challenge at times, especially if you aren’t doing things like going for 5 star relics

Those extra relics can be salvaged for relic XP later so it wasn’t a complete waste. But yeah I think relics are worth it later, not now at 50. I’m glad I could clarify that for you
i think cave of corrosion lvl 6 will still give guaranteed 2 relic the same as lvl 5 BUT it wont give any relic below 4 star rarity as u can see the reward list ^.^ (im only TB lv 54 btw), from experience playing genshin for 1000+- days i dont think hoyoverse will give anything more than 2 5 star relic :(

I havent played this game so much yet; this stuff hasnt seemed too important to get through the story or difficulty 1 simuni yet, but im wondering: since in genshin artifact optimizing really only matters for abyss floor 12 and not for basically anything else, one could argue its not important if you just want to play the game and events. So, how important are relics in Star Rail? More important? Less? There's more stats and stuff so I would need to sit down and learn what is best if I am going to min-max but honestly I cant be assed to do all that for 2 games. In star rail I just want to kinda lazily play the game and collect waifus. I dont see myself doing much 'sweaty' stuff if I dont need to.

More important because Star Rail focuses more on combat than story. But just like Spiral Abyss, Memory of Chaos is completely optional. There is another combat content called Simulated Universe, which requires your characters to be strong if you don’t want a hard time. Recently, they also added Simulated Universe Swarm Disaster which is similar to end game content.
It really depends on how you want to play the game, but generally it’s more important than Genshin’s artifact system if you care about combat. Otherwise you can just play Star Rail similar to Genshin.
Herta is the best character, I just have to make sure it’s not too obvious 👍

Somehow they learnt nothing from the perils of Genshins artefact system and seemingly made if worse in this game lol. Maybe TL 60 isn't as far as i'm envisioning, but they could well have made level 50 a guarantee 2 piece drop. Also it's not a question of if you should, but whether you can lol, which is no - by the time you've levelled your 8 man team to 70 you'll be level 60 anyway lol
Well, not like you'll be doing anything better at late game other than relics.. People are still in excitement mode to realise the torture that awaits them... which is ok since no competition or challenge rl exists.

TL54 here, I reached TL50 last week and so far I could only level up 3 characters and 3 Light Cones from Level 60 to 70

Honestly...i farm only relics at 60, and have 1.000.000 gold, i can't even spend that much gold at this level 😂, i think farming relics at 60 is way faster, because you can simply get help from a level 80 player...
I have maxed every trace, level, and light cone, but maxing to 15 artifacts at this level is just SO SLOW.
Farming relics is really worth it at tl 60.
If you farm like this, you save like 2 weeks in the long run.

So I'm gonna focus on ascension> only those traces which increase stats like att%, cdmg, element damage etc> lightcones then maybe the rest of the traces> then relics.
I’ll admit, it is pretty boring. But it’s beneficial for later, so I don’t mind it either. There’s no proper way to spend trailblaze power, and your plan looks solid. Finding a balance between farming things is also a good way to go

Remember that all of this wont mean jack shit in a long run and altho this might be Stamina efficiency it is most likely than not a jade deficiency. Yeah good luck getting anywhere in MoC with lvl0 relic.
It depends on what your goals are. If you’re casual and don’t care about MOC, then it’s really up to you. Most people care about efficiency, and it seems like relics are not high priority because of how expensive it is to upgrade characters from 60-70 and especially 70-80. You’re right that it doesn’t matter in the long run but seeing immediate or short term benefit is what most people want
I've been pining for MoC until I realize I don't have to rush it at all...eventually we'd all be able to clear 3 Stars on most floors once we hit TB60+ . It's the FOMO that is getting people to not see things rationally. That amount of jades isn't worth all your fuels and refreshes on relic dungeons at TB-40 . I'd finished my FH at 3 Stars for all at TB40. That should be the current goal for people. MoC is a good avenue for you to gauge where you're at at the current state of the game and build a roster towards it. Having not touched a single relic dungeon, I've already cleared till MoC3 with just 1 stars on each at TB 45. I think that's solid enough and I'd imagine I'd be able to clear more at TB50 and then at TB60. Just take it easy.
Besides MoC content refreshes and the enemy lineup might not even be the same to allow the same team comp to work. So take it as a gauge and enjoy the experience of strengthening your roster via ascensions, light cones, and traces first cuz they fundamentally boost your character's potential and worry about relics/sets much later when you've hit the actual ceiling of ascensions.
@@MeiZM extra short term benefit we are getting is pretty ass tho. Point is you farm relic for exp and not for perfect stat and not salvage 10 of it for 1. Purple is fine and +9/+12. Going lvl 15 required shitton. You will be stuck is relic farm as about the same rate as people who farmed relic and will be stuck at exp relic farm anyway if you are just farming credit. Might as well progress now not login and afk for 2-3 more weeks.

It's still not worth it, in fact it's value worsened when you hit EQ4, because the amount of resource you require to raise a unit enormously increased and the drops in any farming sites barely improved. Two solutions can be made
1. If you farmed non-stop in TL40 to prepare for TL50 enough to raise 1-2 Hypercarry units and 3-6 units to support 1-2 teams, You're good to farm Relics BUT only farm relics through naturally regenerated Trailblaze Power. This way the fuels you've saved until TL60-65 and unlocked the last stages of any farming sites... you can burn all those fuels into resources to raise all units you are using to the maximum (or just your DPS and Support, Healers and Defenders is good at 70 with level 6 traces) Thus you can farm every relics you need for you characters.
2. If you're low on resource and still lacking in TL50, Don't farm relics, instead farm for the resources you need enough to raise a whole team of units or two Hypercarries. Using a bit of fuels is okay, only to the resources tho but you can also farm Relics only for the the most priority unit, in example is the DPS and Supports. After those continue on to farming more resource non-stop until TL 60-65 to go all out for Relics.

The XP Books farming in Honkai is extremely painfull... you get only 1 per 10 trailblaze power ... so you will need an entire week worth of Power to level up a character from 60 to 70 ... that's just horrible for f2p players
Slightly inaccurate there bro. The xp value of the blue mats is higher than the single purple, it's 45k exp per 10, or 2.25 purples. That important to consider.
It costs you 30 runs of xp calyx to get a 4 star from 60-70 (45k exp x 30 = 1350000) thats 1.25 days worth of farming. More for a 5* so probably 1.5 days there. Nothing close to a week. Maybe dont spread misinfo if you havnt checked the numbers.
