A quote from Warwicks Lore out of the game: "Warwick struggled to recall a single memory from his past... All he could see was blood. But then he heard a little girl screaming. Screaming something he couldn’t understand. It sounded like a name." When i saw the ending of Episode 3 in Season 1 i got never ending shivers.
The fact that the music that plays when Vander recognizes Powder at the end is literally the same song she was singing on the bridge at the start of the show Brb gonna go cry again
@@sariunan they edited their comment, it used to say "I don't know if you two noticed, but the song is the same one Jinx sang on the bridge" and then I pointed out that they *did* notice so then they changed their comment to look like they knew.
So the biggest hint was in the very first episode they call Vander the “Hound of Zaun.” League players were theorizing way back then. Also the first time Vander hulked out, they used warwicks theme and sound effects
The pants joke was great because a lot of people want her to have the short shorts she wears in the game, but I love her current pants. They that early 00’s alt rock flair. Like Avril Lavigne.
Warwick as seen in this episode must be the most awesome, scary, brutal and beautiful monster creation I have ever seen. and yeah - when he said her name I had to pause, rewatch it like 3 times before my brain could really take it in.. eended up crying like a baby. 11/10.
I liked her from the first moment. Yeah, some may hold grudges for how she turned on Vander, but paradoxal as it may sound, she is the poster girl of loyalty to Zaun beyond all personal feelings...
@@Kova88i think what sets her apart is that her betrayal of vander and turning to silco wasn't out of self-interest or personal ambitions. she left vander because she began to see how vander's tactics weren't going to help Zaun in the long run. she's loyal to the improvement of Zaunite society, not to man. that's why she still fights for Zaun even after Silco is gone. She's a great character.
This episode is certainly my favourite of this Act. The subtle firelight characterisation, by showing Scar leading them, and showing their desperation in resorting to Jinx to make up for their vulnerability without their leader, is an example of how detailed it gets. I hope we get to see their reunion with Ekko next Act
@@OfficialMediaKnights I'm hoping it won't be. I've really liked Arcane so far, but if at its conclusion it has just been a constant downward spiral, I will like it a lot less. "Emotionally evocative" is too often confused with "emotionally devastating" and I'm really tired of writers and audiences acting like pain and sadness is the only emotion we have. It's not, it's just the most visceral, so it's the easiest to go to if you want your audiences to feel a lot. but in the end it becomes a very one-sided emotional experience. A good writer knows how to weave the devastating with the uplifting and make the audience feel both sadness and joy.
@@gabrys567ify I'm still watching it, yes, but for many reasons. The constant downwards has gotten predictable for me, so much of what happened in season 2 episode 6 didn't really hit me that hard. I knew everything the characters won in the previous two episodes would be undone because it always is. The writing has become predictable. At that point it would have been more impactful if, for once, the characters were just allowed some sort of win. Contrary to popular belief, people don't actually grow from constant trauma and subjecting your characters to that also prevents them from experiencing character growth in the same manner. Personal victories are an integral part of personal growth so it's important to let your characters have them and to keep them. Part of why I still watch is because I hope they'll surprise me in the last act and they very well might. I have enough faith in these writers to think that they may stick the landing. If they dont and they just keep hurting their characters for cheap emotional engagement, I will like it less. That said, even if they don't stick the landing, it'll still be a very good show. The visual style is impeccable, the animation is sublime, the music is fantastic and a lot of the moment to moment writing and character interactions are amazing. It just won't be a masterpiece when it easily could've been. Lastly, while this is built on my experience as a writer and my education in literary analysis and dramaturgy, it is still very much my own personal opinion. The show's writing may resonate more with you the way it currently is.
Ambessa wasnt manipulating Caitlyn, she was speaking specifically of Mel, and that conversation where she wishes she had her "heart" is probably something she wishes she couldve said to her own daughter
I haven't found a narrative this compelling and mind-blowing in a long time. I say this as an aspiring writer. This series has made me more confident in the stories i want to tell and the characters i want everyone to love, lose and loathe.❤😂 I apparently even have my own Victor😂 i started digging through my notes and i realized my narrative has similar bones. Been writing it for over a decade 😭
I’m super excited to continue this series with you guys, I binge watched all of season 1 last weekend and I’m super excited to watch these bew episodes with you guys!!
I was initially surprised when Cait was pushing back on Ambessa instigating violence. But I’m assuming it’s been at least a few months since Act 1 (I think this could stand to give us some sort of time reference) so I think she’s just had enough distance from Cass dying that it’s not as raw and blinding. So while she’s still very much on the wrong path, her reactions aren’t as immediate. Plus Maddie seems to have been… ahem putting in overtime to kind of steer her away from Ambessa. A dangerous ploy but hey desperate times. Have I mentioned I love the Jinx Sevika dynamic. Because I do. I really really do. They bounce off each other so well. Ella absolutely killed it this episode, Jinx’s “talk” with Silco about made me cry. He’s finally here.

They've been hinting at Warwick and his identity from all the way back in episode 1 of the first season. He is called "the hound of the underground" by the chick at the bar trying to scam the merchant that Viktor healed
I had my suspicions ever since we saw the creature at the end of the previous episode, but still, to see it confirmed in that way, in that moment - I was sobbing uncontrollably through the end credits.
If only our politicians saw this series, they'd understand our feelings, how emotionally broken we can be in every aspect. Riot delivered a monster, something beyond a masterpiece, it wrecked what was left of my heart
In Season one, they refer to Vander as "The hound of the Underground" and Silco calls Him a "Lapdog".
