Denshi Sentai Denziman was a great show.
Denjiman is pretty much set the standards that Super Sentai has today. I mean see how different the Denjiman suits are compare to Goranger, JAKQ, and Battle Fever.
You rock. I spent years in Okinawa watching this as a kid, and I really never let it go. It was such a formative part of my youth. Thanks for the retrospective...
Just watched all four episodes of this series. Really enjoying it. I particularly enjoyed this episode because you delved more into the actual plot of the series, rather than just a surface level review. Keep it up.

Love this series, man. I highly look forward to more. I especially like your dry humour, like in Gorenger's pizza analogy, and this one's "no Nazis" mini-rant. In fact, the only odd thing I find so far is you never mentioned Ms. America's bare legs in Battle Fever J - surely as much a Sentai one-off as her wig.
Regardless, this is all very informative. Once again, please keep it up!

2:13 I don't know how Toei did that. It was impressive, even by today's standards.
1:51 Toei should have use 2D animation for this. I got that idea after watching a 1940s black & white Superman serial movie, where they use 2D animations for Superman flying. It was revolutionary and impressive at the time.
I had the toys of the robot and the Denzitiger when I was a child, but because the show was not on French TV, I had no clue about the story, thanks for this video it help me to unterstand where my Denziman's toys came from.
If I'm correct Queen Hedrion's design was inspired by Hela from Marvel.
She straight up WAS a Japanese version of Hela from Marvel. Marvel collaborated with Toei for 4 years starting with Japanese Spiderman, and then onto Battle Fever J (which was initially supposed to be a Japanese version of Captain America) and then Denziman and Sun Vulcan which had Hedrian based on Hela. Then Marvel and Toei split ways.

I met your channel yesterday and started watching the videos, I really enjoyed it. I'm in the crowd for more videos in the future. Who knows in Sun Vulcan that there are no Nazis?
In childhood I attended the ones that were exhibited here in Brazil (Changeman, Flashman, Maskman and Goggle V, in order) and recently I came back to see Gokaiger. I've always enjoyed their songs and I think the idea of Project.R is good.
That Captain Planet thing got me

Buichi Terasawa's「COBRA」as Cobra,Kouta Hirano's「DRIFTERS」as Nobunaga,etc.
Notice that the Denziman's visors in some scenes have lots of holes which are hard to see, and some scenes they are no holes at all.
Every Sentai suit has two versions. One with more detail for close ups and dramatic scenes and one lower quality for fight scenes that they don't mind getting scuffed up. That's probably why.

How can I watch this series subtitled?
This Series is more science fiction oriented and the first electronic themed Sentai team to grace the TV set. Eventually Bioman and Mega Ranger would follow on Alot of the villain team set up starts with Denziman. You have the imperial leader who masterminds scheme, the proud yet arrogant commander who is a swordsman and cavalier. The femme fatale secretaries who does a lot of infiltration and manipulation work and the big brute henchmen.
Back to future Sentai basis, the Denzi Suits has inspirations for Mega Ranger and Dai Denzi would inspire the designs of Galaxy Mega.
This would be Kenji Ohba’s final outing of Super Sentai until 2002 with Hurricanegers and he will be very busy helming a new Toei genre with Gavan!!!!
Also to add with the late Machiko Soga, this series and the next will be the only series that is ever connected via continuity until 1995 with the Versus movie.
