These ruins of Angkor make me somewhat sentimental. It feels like the ghosts of dancers once lived in the palace a thousand years ago are haunting around. I also want to watch them in contemporary palace, where the real people are watching and cheering.
This is absolutely exotic and breathtakingly beautiful...and so are these ladies. Two of them look like identical twin sisters. I like the stories behind these dances too. I am impressed by the beauty of the young dancers, the wonderful traditional costumes, the graceful movements and the beautiful music and culture of Cambodia. everything blends in perfectly with the cultural heritage and historical buildings in the background. I felt enchanted for a moment and like I was in this magical place. as I come from the Balkans in South East Europe where people have a sense for such things. I had a possibility to witness such dance a couple of years ago. It is so different from Europaean dance(ballet). Girls move , like snakes:) What I can ad, the young girls are incerdibly beautiful, but the adult or even mature dancers , thery move like wind.
Wonderful dance from.Cambodia with angel- like dancers. Wondering what would have been the cultural set up there when the large temple complex was in use. The dances do show that spirituality wins over materialism and gives eternal happiness and satisfaction.
The Combodian govt can arrange dance shows in various developed countries to show their richness in art and culture to attract foreign direct investment ( FDI) as a process of material development.
I visited siem reap recently in a very short trip. Only focus on few temple. Have no chance to watch the apsara dance. Luckily youtube suggest me this video. Wish to revisit siem reap in longer time. Well done cambodian.

Omg, as an Odia, the dances are very similar to Odissi dance of Odisha and the temples are similar to Odia temples, but the script used by Khmers is very similar to Tamil pallava script of Tamil Nadu, truly unique combo. Beautiful dance 💃♥.

All of this came from one single book which written by Sage Bharata. The book is called Natya shastra. It’s for dance and theatre. U can see the similarities from Bali, Thai, Cambodia and so on. but somehow it’s modified according to the regional style and flavour. Still very much adhere the rules as mentioned in the book. Again it’s came from India itself.

These ruins of Angkor make me somewhat sentimental. It feels like the ghosts of dancers once lived in the palace a thousand years ago are haunting around. I also want to watch them in contemporary palace, where the real people are watching and cheering.

This is absolutely exotic and breathtakingly beautiful...and so are these ladies. Two of them look like identical twin sisters. I like the stories behind these dances too. Sometimes its about loves or romance, like many other stories. But telling the stories with their facial expressions and hand movements. Love watching these
apsara were the great angels who were born from the Hindu god history religion and they dance dedicated to the Hindu god also this dance was presented to the Royal family and now we spread it to the world to know about Khmer culture, Her fingers, and hand express for the plants from the beginning of growing till getting the fruit and detail about their feeling, Their face expresses to be kind and peaceful in mind and will always smile and friendly.

The special characteristic of Apsara or other khmer dance is just a smile rather than show out their tooth. You can observe all the dance.. never show out their tooth at all.

I am impressed by the beauty of the young dancers, the wonderful traditional costumes, the graceful movements and the beautiful music and culture of Cambodia. everything blends in perfectly with the cultural heritage and historical buildings in the background. I felt enchanted for a moment and like I was in this magical place. as I come from the Balkans in South East Europe where people have a sense for such things. Sending lots of love and greetings from Serbia to the people of Cambodia. 🌷🙏💌

I had a possibility to witness such dance a couple of years ago. It is so different from Europaean dance(ballet). Girls move , like snakes:) What I can ad, the young girls are incerdibly beautiful, but the adult or even mature dancers , thery move like wind.
Wonderful dance from.Cambodia with angel- like dancers. Wondering what would have been the cultural set up there when the large temple complex was in use. The dances do show that spirituality wins over materialism and gives eternal happiness and satisfaction.
The Combodian govt can arrange dance shows in various developed countries to show their richness in art and culture to attract foreign direct investment ( FDI) as a process of material development.
I visited siem reap recently in a very short trip. Only focus on few temple. Have no chance to watch the apsara dance. Luckily youtube suggest me this video. Wish to revisit siem reap in longer time. Well done cambodian.
