Nice Car - 1960 was the first really "Modern" Ford styling. If Ford offered a four speed like GM did in Chevy and Pontiac, it would have helped a lot. (I could be wrong, but I don't remember the 460 V-8- the Lincoln engine at the time - as a Ford option - the 390 was the biggest V-8 for Ford in 1960)

Thanks! You are correct, a 460 was not an option that year. This car left the factory with a 292 (which we still have and it sells with the car). 390 was the largest option.

I had a 60 Ford in college. Trunk was big enough for a double mattress. . . . I know. I put one in it.

Lot of time, effort and money went into this sweet old Ford. It's a real shame that it still has the single reservoir brake master cylinder. To me this seems to be an odd place to close the pocketbook.

Fair point, hard to say what they were thinking when they were swapping the motor. We got this one years ago and the work had already been completed. Thanks for checking it out!
