- I'm not very satisfied with the result, too many parts that remained with a "low quality" feel, but it's the best I managed to get. Hope you like it.

Toa Metru in commercials: We are incredibly powerful and good at being heroes
The show and books: We have no idea what we are doing please help
Toa Lee Kahn: You six must save the people of Metro Nui from Makuta Terodax! It is the only way!
Matorans: How do we do that?
Toa Lee Kahn: *fucking dies *
Vakama: well my father is dead and now we are no where to defeating makuta
@@takuapilot1190 Me: Combine all your elemental powers to encase Teridax into the Toa Seal, and everything will be fine!
@@Matoro0902_The_Wise vakama: what if we go back to metru nui to save the matoran
@@takuapilot1190 Me: you will turn into Toa Hordika… I’m not gonna spoil, so you gotta figure it out for yourself. The only thing I know is that you’re our Turaga for now.
2004 was so cool and probably the prime of bionicle imo. Nick on planet ripple said it best; These weren't your typical toa, the setting was like valhalla or olympus. By the time these new heroes were summoned it was already too late. They were never going to save the city. but their job wasn't by protect a few buildings. Their job was to get their people off the sinking ship, the enemy had taken everything from them but they had won by surviving. Lego doesn't do stories like this."
Honestly Bionicles were always at their best when they were losing.
The comic page of Tahu(?, it was definitely one of the fire Toa) telling Teridax that they would continue fighting him even after he took control of the robot and saying "We've beaten you before and we'll do it again" is one of the coolest things I've seen
@@exzyyd392 its probably moslty nostalgia speaking but the quote in that long toa phantoka commercial from the narrator that says "even when turned into nightmare versions of themselves, they fought and they won." (or something to that effect) still gives me chills. one of the best parts of bionicle has been the power they give to the villains i think. it would be easy to make the toa these unbeatable superhero types but they're more often portrayed as extremely fallible and are only able to harness their true power by digging deep. it makes it more easy to sympathize with the toa when they're facing enemies they aren't able to beat by themselves. for example they could've easily made the barraki these mindless deep sea monsters but instead they made them warlords who commanded armies and rivaled the brotherhood of makuta. it makes the stakes a lot higher and the villain sets a lot more desirable when they put effort into building a genuine threat.
dare i say the toa metru are the noble team of bionicle? :0
@@montygatwick1829
No, that would be the Toa Mangai.
"Extremely Adept" may be an overstatement...
They tried XD
"Ready for any challenge..."
(watches Bionicle 2)
So that was a fucking lie.
I love how most of the Toa Metru had Toa tools that corresponded pretty well with their respective elements, and well as aided them in maneuvering throughout the city and then there's Vakama who just had a giant fucking gun
Disc launcher corresponds with his life as a mask maker
It was also a jet pack.
"powerful"
*whenua falls off a cliff*
LOL
ah good this is already here
Sounds about right tbh
We need the retrospective.
There is one now
0:27 POWERFUL... Proceeds to fall off the cliff
"I gotta get myself one of those"- The Mandalorian
"Ready for any challenge"
Biggest lie of all time
If I were to ask for any ad to get this treatment, it'd have to be the Toa Nuva. Its clean, solemn atmosphere gives me the chills every time, and I can only imagine how impactful it'd be to see them rise in HD...
Sadly the one with the toa nuva is perhaps one of the least improved. I used the same treatment and yet the result isn't very good looking. I'll upload that one too anyways. The good news is: the inika was a tough one because I couldn't find any source with the quality I wanted, but with a lot of edits I think I managed to get a decent looking result ;)
@@LordFindogask734 Thanks! It'll be fine anyway...
Lowkey Vakama was one of the coolest toa in the series
Cooper Kellis Thats not how you spell Matoro
In my opinion both Vakama and Matoro are the best toa
Vakama was the best because he actually got character development
@@Matoro11 Facts
I think the version we see here gives off a different feel of character than the movies.
The narrator kind of sounds like Steve Blum.
The Metro Nui Toa designs look pretty badass.
It was not Steve Blum
The drum n bass soundtrack lowkey slaps
Funny enough they don’t really become “powerful” and “adept” until after they defeat their biggest foe. The novelettes “Voyage” and “Maze” is where you truly get to see them develop.
That would be a good time for Vakama to narrate his flashback..
Vakama: In the time before time.... in the legendary city of Metru Nui, while Makuta was poisoning the great spirit, I was too busy perfecting my lavaboarding technique.
Tahu: *cough* an understandable compromise for sure...
what if this guy’s voice was Vakama all along?
@@neitherlink6612 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA
In the actual story the Toa Metru are largely incredibly inept, not especially powerful, have no resources, and aren't ready to face any situations.
CGI holds up better than current day MCU. . .
No, both MCU and CGI of bionicle is awesome you heartless idiot.
you've heard of horizontal whenua, now get ready for:
B AL L W H E N U A
A Matoran has fallen into the river in Metru Nui!
Hey
@estelagarcia4861 Build the Vahki Transport, and save the Matoran!
'They're fighting something.. We don't know what that is, but we assure you it's _something.'_ XD
For real. The way they managed to make it sound cool with the "faceless opponent" line always amazes me.
@@LordFindogask734
And they pulled it off too! I mean, sure it's funny when you say it like that, but they communicated _exactly_ what they wanted to with what they had.
It's honestly a marvel how serious they were able to be while marketing these toys, and remaining effective.
**suspiciously glares at G2** (I've got the full G2 Mata wave though and I love them)
@@ThatTallBrendan Couldn't have said it better myself tbh.
I always loved the theme song of the Toa Metru! Ominous, dangerous, but persevering in the face of uncertainty.
The splashscreen at the end looks very aesthetic and badass.
Btw, nice work.
Ready for any challenge eh, what about the Sea of Protodermis?
I still have my Matau I got when I was 7 and even kept the capsule he came in... God my childhood was so good.
My days as a Toa were both cool and troubling.
I miss this commercial. And my old Bionicle figures.
To this day I still thinking making a movie for each set was a missed opportunity or at least make a series with an hour long episode for each set like an anthology series for bionicle
Best Toa Mata/Nuva: Kopaka
Best Toa Metru: Vakama
Best Toa Inika/Mahri: Matoro
If we're talking Character-wise then I don't think anyone disagrees on that.
I would say that Onua would be my Toa Mata/Nuva, buuuut opinions
Agreed
Best Glatorian: Malum/Strahk
Best toa nuva (phantoka): phohatu
This brings me back to those years... Thank you so much! The Toa Metru were the best Bionicle wave, by the way
Bionicle in 2004: we live in a society
Introverts in the shower:
This commercial: How College Students describe themselves.
The Commics, Books and the movies: How college students really are
Toa metru whenua was one of my first bionicle toys as a kid
Legendary! Awesome remaster
Wow, I love the Toa Metru.
The metru nui saga (visorak included) was the most exciting time to be a bionicle fan, fight me.
2007 and 2008 where better
I wish the Vakama from the first Metru Nui film was as cool as Vakama from this commercial. Second Metru Nui film had him man up pretty hard.
Sorry for the late comment, but you wouldn't want that. The toa metru being inept at first makes sense. In retrospect, they are just a mask maker, a teacher, a pilot, an archivist, a stone carver, and an astronomer. Normal people with normal professions suddenly given bodies and powers they couldn't control, not to mention a vague mission, with little to no guidance from a turaga (a former toa) or senior toas in the field. So them starting inept and somewhat meek, and growing slowly into confident heroes is quite good character growth. Vakama most of all!
This looks AMAZING, man!! Excellent work!!
This year marks the 20th anniversary of Bionicle: Metru Nui set
Toy Vakama's mask makes him look way more badass than his movie counterpart.
I don't know what they were thinking with those adaptations. The masks not actually being masks and instead being their faces (never mind the fact that they have faces beneath their masks) was weird, unsettling, and just looked stupid. The movies would have been infinitely better had they just been longer versions of this commercial with music and voice acting.
Vakama in the movie reminds me of the "kids today: I have anxiety" meme when compared to the way he is shown here. 😅
The past of our Turaga!
I still wonder how this series flew under the radar for me, I remember the movie “Legends of Metro Nui”, but I didn’t know what that one was based on for a few years. Which is why I thought the mutated toa were that of the original gen 1 toa. I wonder if it’s because I was in Sylvan during the commercial’s airings.
Thank you so much for your amazing work
I do like the commercials, but they definitely were not made for 60fps. Animation just doesn't work that way unless it's specifically made for 60fps.
Just got the 6 Metru yesterday
bro why is the background music so insane, I don't remember this
*Does anyone know what the theme of the song is*
So toa of fire can actually swim in lava...
Nice job on the enchanced quality of the commercial.
You earned a sub for this one! 🙏
This is AWESOME!!!!!!!!! Please keep doing what your doing!!!!!
the best ones!!
Live on Toa Metru!
Ah yes the signature 😮 masks. I thought the hole was always their mouth, but it was always the melted plastic to purtrude on the inside of the mask that connected to the head
I wonder if the composer knew the fire he was cooking
Six Matoran of Metru Nui were selected by Lhikan, that city's last remaining Toa, to become heroes and free Metru Nui from the schemes of Makuta.
This is so awesome. Please could you do the 2008 animations next? With the waking Mata Nui, that would be so amazing. Insta-subscribe :)
That will be released too :) Stay tuned!
The music in this.. can someone Please isolate the sound and upload it omg
Good luck because it's an original (behind the scenes only) composition. The only way to get it is from LEGO directly or if it was used somewhere publicly! like in a products, sets preview range, trailer (mean't for in-store, kiosks purpose only).
My childhood
Who else remembers the first time they saw this as a kid
I never saw a Bionicle commercial (I am from a country in which Lego isn't really popular), but Whenua was my first set and I LOVEDthe guy.
I still remember.
I was at school, one of my classmates brought a DVD of Bionicle 2 and played this commercial and the Vahki Commercial.
We rewatched it way too many times
Best Toa till date
A matoran has fallen in Metru Nui

Can someone upload this trailer but with just the music
I have whenua and Nokama and matau
I used to only see this commercial in Portuguese here in youtube 😂
Let me get this straight... are you not satisfied? Jaja man this remasterization is too cool to be real.
believe me or not, after a while I started thinking that these remasters were not enough XD
Why isn't this in the Movies 😂
They have a movie call bionicle legends of metru nui
what music is this? please tell me
Anyone know the Music?
Well ... I still see the lot of pixels ...
They really dropped the ball hard when they decided to make Bionicle and Toa, ostentibly based around maori culture and mythology, and try and make them more modern and urban. Later bionicle have guns and use tactical radios ffs. Should've kept the setting natural
Seriously, Likhan, "save the heart of Metru Nui"!?!? What the fuck is that criptic shit! I could figure it out instantly because I've eaten that cliche before, but those 6 newbies!? Come on, man...
Did that guy just kill himself?
Mi piacciono i colori che usi
Lego either thinks that today's kids are too stupid for such things, or Lego is lazy and does not want to create really high-quality things, because they take garbage anyway.
Or there just are other lines, original IPs, licensed themes and whatnot that simply sell better. There is no need for BIONICLE to exist. Maybe It could still sell well, with proper planning and effort, but why run the risk?
I miss bionicle
