No, they're not. As a fan since 2012, I can assure it's not because of their "harder songs" as you put it. It's simply because they bring something else that a lot of others don't The passion behind their performances shows and it really drives the emotional vibe, you're not just listening you're feeling the music. That's what I love about them regardless of the type of song they play.
Hi! I’m Japanese man! The lead vocal, Taka, said that it is hard to put the orchestra sound in to rock sound. Members of ONE OK ROCK and orchestra had talked many times to make the songs better. I went to this concert and I thought the orchestra sound is too weak and it was hard to hear it. But it was a great concert and performance as you can see from the video.

It was a blast. I was there! Stand Out Fit In was first sang on this tour! They haven't officially released the song yet when this video was taken. The song is part of their new album coming out this February/March 2019. So, I get your frustration why the orchestra wasn't fully used but it was definitely heard during the rest of the the concert. It was AWESOME! Just some background info on the video. It might explain some things.

I am a die hard fan of One Ok Rock. Try to react to their other songs. They are very inspirational and their songs are full of soul. Actually, Taka (vocalist) wrote the lyrics for this song. He has a younger brother named Hiroki, a vocalist of a Japanese band, My First Story. They are actually a family of singers. Their parents are both traditional singers in Japan. I guess the music has to be balanced between the orchestra and the band members, with none over-shadowing the other. There's been a lot of good One Ok Rock song recommendations by the other people here; basically almost every live performance from OOR is great. Taka has a wonderful voice, and he sings a range from rock to ballad. You can check out Et Cetera live at Yokohama Arena, with orchestra - it's a beautiful, raw song ^^

They're a 4-member band. Pretty big in Japan and now making their way on western music industry. Taka, the lead vocal has a very broad range of vocals, also very versatile. They're known for their live performances. Toru (leader, lead guitrar), Tomoya (drummer) and Ryota(basist) are equally talented too. Honestly this performance isn't the best in my opinion, not a very good representation of the band because they can do better thab this. Check out live performances of Clock Strikes, Taka can hold high notes for a very long time. Also, they collaborated with other western artists like, avril lavigne, 5sos, sum41, simple plan, kellin quin, against the current and many more.
I get your point with the "guitar is too present" and your wish for the orchestra to has 'more impact'. Maybe it should had sound a little bit louder but I think it was just the right amount. Even if they made an orchestra arrangement their 'rock sound' has to be present and loud in the song and actually the're not being as strong and energetic as they really are. This orchestra tour was 4 performances, two in Tokyo (well, technically Saitama) and two in Osaka (this video was the second day of Osaka, so the last of the tour), and for two of the dates they all wore suits. instagram.com/p/BpMo-ntlddr/ Luckily I went to one of the performances where they wore the suits. They looked so good! Anyway, the song... Definitely check out the music video. It doesn't feature the band but it has such a powerful message. There are two versions of the song, a Japanese one and an English one. In the English one, that Japanese verse you heard is in English. ONE OK ROCK is a band that you have to watch live. They sound amazing in the studio but are absolutely spectacular in person. This song isn't that energetic but if you watch a performance of a faster song, I think you will be blown away by their stage presence, especially Taka's. This band knows how to put on a live show. They will actually be touring North America starting next month after their new album is released. Unfortunately the Montreal concert on March 1st is already sold out but if you really wanted to go, you might be able to find tickets second-hand. Check out Taka's cover of Adele's "Hello" or the 18 Fes version of "We are." The band's most well-known songs are probably "The Beginning" and "Mighty Long Fall."
