Glad to hear everyone liking it and finding it helpful, that's the point of the Learn to Play series. Make it easier for everyone to get the games on the table! Good hunting! :)
Really enjoyed hearing Greg walk through this. His enthusiasm for what he does comes across. I am about to start mission one on my first play through so here getting some training before OJT. I wonder if sales are good enough to warrant a North Africa/Italy version?

Q: Why are you rolling for the German decision to fire at you or not fire at you, before you take your actions? Per the rule book you take your actions first, then roll for German units to see if they target you.
@@WW2SolitaireBoardGameChannel Only in the first combat round of an Attack or Assault battle, the Germans go first, so in that one round the Germans would roll and possibly shoot at you before you get to take your actions. In all later round of an Attack or Assault, and in ALL rounds of a Move to Contact or Defend battle, you go first and only after you are done do you roll for the Germans to see if they shoot at you. Any German that you have fired at will automatically fire at you, and will continue firing at you every round with no roll required. Likewise, once a German rolls a 1 and fires at you he keeps on firing in every subsequent round with no die roll needed.
@@jeffmanjarrez4097 understand, a lot of people do. Would love to see them able to come out sooner but that's a decision made by Compass. You'll dig the module, it works really well!
Yes, he did not roll for immobilization and that was because he didn't have to. He's in clear terrain, and on the B5 chart the only roll he can get for immobilized is a 2 and he already has the "Eye for Terrain" skill for his driver and that gives him a +1. On a 2d6 roll he cannot roll lower than a 2, so in clear terrain it's always a pass with that modifier. Good job in paying attention, you have completed tank school Brian! :)
Vassal is a digital version of the board game, so what you're seeing on screen are the same pieces you'll have in your physical game. It's much easier to use and record with the Vassal module than it is with the physical game since you don't have to worry about camera quality, lighting etc.
Thank you for the 'learn to play'.
Can't wait for the game to arrive!
Should be arriving soon, they're in the process of shipping now! Happy to help make the learning curve a little easier! :)
Well done Moe and Greg! excited to see this post, like everyone else looking forward to it.

@@jobu88 So you should roll for German decision to fire at you or not before you take your actions?

hello , where can i find the vassal module for american tank ace, aparently it is not avaliable in compass game page
It will be released six months after the game's release, which is Compass Games policy.
Awwww yeah!

Can there be a "How to Play" using the ACTUAL board game instead of Vassal? I ask because I do not wnat to use Vassal I want the HANDS ON game 🙂
