You're an awesome mom and so is your son 💕 love that u were working out together, I do the same thing! Once he goes to bed, this mama is exhausted but happy 😆 My son is 2 and is autistic. He loves to talk, sing, play with dinosaurs and play ball. He's getting so much better with communicating and noticing his environment

We did play therapy that is very similar to the play you guys were doing it was great helping to bring James out of his shell. We also did speech and occupational but never did ABA. I’m in the US we felt like bc he didn’t have any dangerous behaviors as he is overall a really good natured boy that ABA was a bit more than we felt was necessary. However we do incorporate a lot of ABA style activities in everyday life. You guys are doing a really good job w your little guy.

That's so good to hear! Yeah I feel exactly the same way as you with my little guy. What type of ABA activities do you do on the daily? Thanks so much for your kind words ❤️

That's beautiful thanks so much ❤️ it is really rough to find the time but even if I can put up one video a month and it helps other parents relate then It's all worth it

My autistic grandsons, both of them, don't like music at all and will only eat certain foods, very picky. But they are so loving. You are a wonderful mom.

Oh wow, they must be very auditory sensitive, bless them. My son is also picky with food. Thank you so much x

Such a amazing mom. Once you are a mother you are never a mother and that can be so exciting and tiring at times. But you are doing an amazing job. Thanks mom :)

I like what you are doing with your son. Do you think ABA is really necessary or it can be skipped???

Thank you 🙏🏼 Honestly, I don't know anything about ABA! But I do know that it's looked down upon by many Autistic adults. I've heard stories of post traumatic stress from ABA therapy.

@@candidlymish thank you for the info, I see that your son is progressing really good, I wish I could do the same with my son . Can you please give an idea of the daily routine you having with him,and what’s helped you the most to get to the progress where you are right now ?
      Thank you

@@user-hr8iv9xr8b ahh thank you that's so nice to hear. So lately he's been in daycare 3x a week. While he hates leaving me, I feel it's helping him to be around other children and out of his comfort zone. If I wasn't working I would only put him in twice a week. At home he loves bouncing on the trampoline. Admittedly I don't do many therapy type activities with him at home, I mostly let him have free play at home with his toys. When I do spend 1:1 time with him it's mostly unstructured play; rough and tumble style, ticking, playing chase and reading books. I also let him lead the way and will join in with his games/toys. I think the thing that's helped him the most is my constant love and support. That comes easy because I can't stop cuddling and kissing him!
How old is your son? What has your journey been like so far?

@@candidlymish I truly appreciate all the info and advice and definitely will take them into consideration. My son is 25 months, he is to start ABA therapy but not yet, we still waiting to find in person therapist as we didn’t want telehealth therapy, my journey with him been isn’t an easy one, as much as I want to help him to get improved, I found myself clueless. I sometimes don’t know from where to start and what to do . I love him soooooooooooooooo much just like any mom, I all day hug him, kiss him, cuddle and show him how much I love him and how much I am so happy to have him. I just can’t wait for the therapy to start . I love the daycare idea and I was thinking about it, after you mentioned it I feel more into it.I have been taking him outside almost every day to the park and wherever I go such as grocery stores, super markets, etc
I will keep you posted and my best wishes to you and your every mom going through this 🙏🏼

@@user-hr8iv9xr8b sending you so much love and strength. It's not easy, when you care so much about your child and want the best for them. Let me know how you go with finding suitable therapy for him, I'm curious about ABA as I don't know anything about it! One thing I can say is it gets easier, speaking from my experience, my son is now over 3 yrs old and he has come so far in the past year
