- What a wonderful weekend! 🏕 We camped an exit from the Clark County Fairgrounds where the Springfield Extravaganza takes place, and my folks camped next to us (they celebrated 51 years on Saturday! ❤️) I spent the entire weekend hunting for treasures, and by that I mean FRIENDS and vintage goodies! Come along and see who I found and what I bought! I'll be back Thursday with the big haul from our time sourcing in the area!

I find things at estate sales, auctions, charity shops, and thrift stores, and even pluck treasures from Goodwill bins and street curbs as they are headed toward the landfill.

Amy, when I first saw you on this video I thought you had a tattoo sleeve! As you approach the young 50, you just get more beautiful. I have a couple of things to give you for your birthday, but my life has been a bit mixed up lately. So it may not be there October 14th……to the viewers I have camped and shopped with Amy, and she is in person as she projects on videos….absolutely terrific!

On our local news there was a story of a jazz musician playing a piano in a Good Will in Austintown OH and they showed and elderly couple dancing and some of the workers. It was heart warming. I know a lot of thrifters prefer no music or low music so they don’t get copyright violations, which I understand completely, but I think everyone would’ve enjoyed seeing this touching story. 😊

Oh my!! That Surrey that you spotted at the Extravaganza brought back childhood memories. When I was 5yrs old my neighbor, who was 7yrs old, had one. I sat in the front and she in the back and pedalled. That was in the early 60s and we remain dear friends today. I have a picture of us while riding in it. Thanks for sharing that find!!💕

I'm surprised at how many people I missed at the Extravaganza. I never ran into Misty, Heather or you. I saw Jocelyn and friends from a distance, but didn't want to leave those I was shopping with to run and be all fan-girl on them, lol. George is the best, and you found a cute piece at his booth.

I met George 2 years ago at a vintage market in Portland, OR where I live. He is exactly the same in person as he is in his videos. So kind & knowledgeable. He was busy, but took the time to talk to me & get to know me a little (asking me what I collect, etc). I bought a little micro mosaic pill box from him & have it proudly displayed among my pottery collection.

Did you get to Valley Thrift in Dayton? There is also a goodwill outlet across the street from it, so it is a nice 2 for 1 when I am in the area.
