- American actress, and singer, Suzanne Somers, passed away surrounded by her family, on October 15, 2023, at the age of 76. The cause of death was cancer. She was best known for her role, as Chrissy Snow, in the television sitcom, Three's Company. She also had roles, in the 1973 film, American Graffiti. In the sitcom, She's the Sheriff. And in the sitcom, Step by Step. In 2015, Suzanne Somers, participated on the 20th season, of Dancing with the Stars. In total, during her 33 year career, she has appeared in almost 50 films, and TV series. She also was an author, and wrote more than 25 books.
American actor, Richard Roundtree, died of cancer, on October 24, 2023, at the age of 81. He was best known for his role, as John Shaft, in the 1971 film, Shaft, and its four sequels. He also played, Friday, in the 1975 film, Man Friday. Augustus Henderson, in the 1981 film, Inchon. And Dr. Mumford, in the sitcom, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. In total, during his 67 year career, he has appeared in more than 150 films, and television series. He is survived by 4 daughters, and a son.
American actor, Richard Moll, died on October 26, at the age of 80. His most famous role was, as Nostradamus Shannon, in the television sitcom, Night Court.
American actor, Burt Young, passed away on October 8, at the age of 83. He was best known for his role, as Rocky Balboa's best friend, Paulie Pennino, in the Rocky film series. He played this role in 6 films, from 1976, until 2006, and was nominated, for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor, for his performance in the first film. Burt Young, also played, Carmine, in the 1974 film, The Gambler. Curly, in the 1974 film, Chinatown. Bobby, in the 1978 film, Convoy. Anthony Montelli, in the 1982 film, Amityville II: The Possession. Joe, in the 1984 film, Once Upon a Time in America. Dominic Piazza, in the 2000 film, Very Mean Men. Lieutenant Willis, in the television series, MASH. And Bobby, in the television series, The Sopranos. In total, during his 54 year career, he has appeared in 168 films, and television series.
American actress, Piper Laurie, passed away of natural causes, on October 14, at the age of 91. She was nominated for an Academy Award 3 times, for her roles, as Sarah Packard, in the 1961 film, The Hustler. Margaret White, in the 1976 film Carrie. And Mrs. Norman, in the 1986 film, Children of a Lesser God. In 1986, she won a Primetime Emmy Award, for her role, as Annie Gilbert, in the 1986 film, Promise. In 1990, she received Golden Globe Award, for playing, Catherine Martell, in the television series, Twin Peaks. She also starred in the films, The Golden Blade. Other People's Money. Dawn at Socorro. And Until They Sail. Her last role was in 2018 film, White Boy Rick.
American actress, Phyllis Coates, died of natural causes, on October 11, at age 96. She was most known for playing, Lois Lane, one of the most enduring characters in popular culture, in the 1951 film, Superman and the Mole Men. And in the first season of the TV series, Adventures of Superman. She also starred in the films, such as, Jungle Drums of Africa. Man from Sonora. And Panther Girl of the Kongo. In total, she has appeared in 145 films, and television series, in a career spanning more than half a century.
American actress, Lara Parker, died of cancer, on October 12, at the age of 84. She was known for her role, as the intelligent and conniving witch, Angelique Bouchard, in the gothic soap opera, Dark Shadows. She played this role for 4 years, from 1967, to 1971. In 2012, she reprised the role of Angelique, in Tim Burton’s film, Dark Shadows. Lara Parker, also starred in films, and television series, such as, Race with the Devil. Manimal. And Galactica 1980.
American actress, and casting director, Joanna Merlin, passed away on October 15, at the age of 92. Her most famous role was, as Judge, Lena Petrovsky, in the television series, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. She played this role for 11 years, from 2000, until 2011. She also played supporting roles, in numerous films, and television series, including, The Good Wife. And The Wackness.
American actor, Mark Goddard, died from pulmonary fibrosis, on October 10, at the age of 87. He was best known for his roles, as Major, Don West, in the science fiction television series, Lost in Space. Cully, in the Western television series, Johnny Ringo. Chris Ballard, in the television series, The Detectives. And General, in the 1998 film, Lost in Space. In total, during his 56 year career, he has appeared in more than 50 films, and TV series.
American Hall of Fame football player, turned actor, Dick Butkus, died in his sleep, on October 5, at the age of 80. He played in the National Football League, for the Chicago Bears, for 9 seasons. Many consider him the most ferocious defensive player in history.

I was shocked about Suzann Sommers I did not realize she was that old. I knew about Piper Laurie, Richard Moll & Matthew Perry. I was the saddest about Richard Moll & Richard Rountree.

In the comments of "100 famous people who died in 2023" (I don't saw them all to much), who mentioned this. When will start people think for them selfs???
