hello from Kajun Homestead and Beekeeping, all good advice, I used a few of your methods to increase my hive count. I like also using the 3 frame mating nucs to make new queens . Great video
There some people in the world lost hives and this guy show the example of growing: Many things, clima change, quimical toxic, made more improvemts against the pandemic times, scientific and new ideas, take care the beehives, watch thives, the budget, give proteins and food preparations for bees, if in very cold clima bees survive watch the examples, so many things!!!
Well I actually got into beekeeping cause I have lymes disease and alot of thing about beekeeping helps with that. I just do it as a hobby but each year I keep getting more n more bees so now its more as a side job and I love it.
@@goodenoughhoney1667 Okay I see, you sound pretty young. I've grown from 1 to 7 colonies this year and want to finish out this year with atleast 25, also aiming to sell up to $10k worth of honey this year. I'm still only 20 and not really trying to work for anyone but myself & beekeeping is an incredibly scalable business model.
I've done the same thing this spring. I've got one hive that has made numerous queen cells, so I have split it 5 times already. With our major honey started last week. All 5 have grown really nicely. Good video.
Hey, MP how did your bees do over winter? Hopefully better than Vino Farm. I hadn't seen a comment from you in awhile and wondered if Covid got you. Glad you're still around.
@@russellkoopman3004 hey brother, out of the 81 hives we went into winter with only 18 survived. So I fared a little bit better than Vino Farms but a lot worse in the sheer number of hives lost. And I'm avoiding that Covid like it's a plague LOL.
@@massachusettsprepper Ouch!! That sucks. Was it the drought or mites? Seems a lot of folks lost more than normal. You'll have to get some splits going once the bees build up.
Some where flying around for a few days but I kept the nucs in front of the hives for a few days after and noticed none where flying where the nucs where originally so either found the hives or :/ but I think they found the hives
Great content. Thanks for sharing. Shows what can happen if you are willing to be a beekeeper instead of a behaver.

Good work!
Good video
How is she getting nurtured, how can the nurse bees get their food?
Were getting our first Apimaye. We have two hives, started with nucs, first year.
They all work together the worker bees get the food and the others distribute it or store it
Cool content man👍 thanks
Went from 1 dbl deep to 10 hives this year using the Queen cell cutting method. Honeybees Like making more bees.
Neat video, do you plan to make your beekeeping into a business?

Have you overwintered in the Apimaye? What did you think?
Great going on my 3rd winter this year there’s a video of me showing all my hives surviving winter

you find the Apimaye hives to produce better than the normal wooden hives?
Easier to deal with but they both have pros and cons tough call
What are the biggest cons of the apimaye?
Springtide Bloom 🤭 #Hellbride_NW
Do you like the plastic hive boxes ? Thanks
Yah there great
I grew from 3 to 15 last year. This year I may have near 30-50 by fall. yeah, thanks for keeping it real with the stings.
Great video, an excellent summary and demo of multiple ways to increase.
Thanks Ill have more videos out soon!
@@goodenoughhoney1667 - Looking forward to them.
Thank you for interesting video. Hi from Belarus bee's forests! 👍👍👍✊🙏
Lol. Getting lit up. We all been there before. Great video.
ya they got me good there when I hit the bees in the bucket a bunch fell all over me
Grate idea with the screan
Do you put multiple brood boxes on to increase size or harvest honey?
Both bigger is better my opinion.
Yes sir my friend, you're just not a beekeeper unless you get lit up a few times for sure LOL. Nice growth for one year. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks, my hives are looking great this year. I’m excited!
