I've had some relatable experiences, in my mid-20s, ticks, audio hallucinations, episodic seizures, intense sleep paralysis, ultimately culminating in the ”big-one” a seizure that resulted in several fractured vertebrae and left me completely amnesic for weeks and in a fog for months that slowly lifted; Only to realize my relationship was over; I was out of work on disability, with little hope of getting back to my career any time soon. @@patrickilse5485 Like most any complex contraption the brain has a myriad of failure modes, many of which can result in seizures of one kind or another. Without getting too complicated, here's an analogy: Think of the brain like a symphony orchestra or a marching band. Like the band or orchestra the brain is made up of many disparate section each responsible for different things and these sections are made up of many different people (or loci for brains.) Now for the band or brain to perform well, all the parts have to work in sync together. While the band is led by a Conductor, and the Conductor is reacting to the band, the brain is kept in sync with brain-waves. Now here's a little secret about Conductor's they are all imperfect some are chaotic, some a little lazy or sloppy, and even the most skilled and meticulous can be upset by distractions, yet most of the time it doesn’t matter, the band members are professionals, they know what to do and can cope with minor misdirections. However, if say a bee were to fly up the pant leg of the conductor, it’s only a matter of time before everyone is playing out of sync and sweet music turns to a cacophony of noise. The brain too can deal with such minor errors, but like the band there’s a point the “seizure threshold” where brains coordination starts to break down and now you are having a seizure. Sometimes the seizure just affects one part of the brain, maybe something is blocking their view of the conductor, other times the conductor has fallen asleep or he’s distracted by a bee in his pants. Luckily the conductor is also a professional and it’s usually not long before he’s gotten his shit together, but unfortunately a lot can go wrong in the mean time. In my case, it was concluded that the bee in my conductor’s pants was a medication. Many medications can lower your seizure threshold increasing the likelihood of your conductor getting distracted. Most medications can that do this, do it right away and the problem will go away if you stop taking that medication, in my case it was a medication that I had taken for years that slowly and permanently lowered my seizure threshold. In the years since it has gotten better though and I’ve not had a full blown tonic-clonic seizure in recent years, but I still have to be careful.
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when i was 14 and i was hospitalized a dozen times, i almost died twice because of my condition, it took me over 15 years to get to a point that i no longer need to take medicine for it anymore and i havent had any seizures in 2 years. Im doing much better now.
What a lucky seed, it really was even luckier than the previous ones, you had some really crazy good sequence of chests! At 1:06:31 you passed the hidden grotto like you thought you would. Also you can use pots to break the balloon in the bomber's hideout apparently. The commentary was pretty deep on this one, and I loved it. You talk about stuff that many people never dare or want to talk about. I think the near-death experiences are very interesting stuff, out-of-body experiences and sleep paralysis stuff too. Some really crazy things usually happens during them too. Anyways, I hope you don't overdo or get burned out on the randos, this was awesome once again!
Out of the entire three hours of this randomized playthrough, the thing I appreciated the most...was that Great Bay Temple is getting the props it deserves. Seriously, the Temple is great.
*one hour in* : "Wow, you're actually really good at keeping a topic interesting even if the person you're talking to won't hear it until after you upload" *two hours in* : "slightly depressing to hear about all that decompression and shit, but it's still very interesting" *three hours in, thoroughly terrified* : "Okay, I need to watch funny videos before bed or I'm gonna have nightmares"
I knew those pillars could be climbed for a very long time, and yet I am still finding new stuff in this game nearly 20 years after its release. How they managed to cram so much stuff on such a short devolopment cycle still blows my mind.
Even as old as this video is its so much fun to watch all this time later! :D I love hearing your thought processes as you do the tasks required for the 100%
:) Always fun to watch a full playthrough. I know Majora's Mask has been played a lot here but I always listen for the sounds and the nostalgia of the game always bring me right back. Thanks Bill, this is blast to watch.
I love this channel, and especially this video, You're such a down to earth guy who just speaks like you're having a conversation with your audience! It's hard to find channels like this anymore, thank you for the entertainment!
At work right now and just got the notification for the new vid drop. Keen as to watch this when i get home!! Thanks Bill!! A.K.A Good Old Days Gaming. You are an absolute legend brother!
Same bro... seen this video 6 times in its entirety, I believe. Every time I come back, I remember this is the right video because of the date at the beginning and how he talks about Deathbasket. The plethora of nuts joke, the 1911 footage, and his near-death experience commentary are the things I remember the best.
Glad UA-cam recommended this to me. Had no idea the MM Randomizer was this fleshed out already. This is my all time favorite zelda game, and I'm looking forward to playing it once more.
These are a good mix of skill, nostalgia, and puzzle solving with a tinge of mystery in these randomizers. I think this is what makes these so appealing.
1:11:46 it's based on a wild dream Aonuma had, I believe, and he was scrambling for ideas as it is, so he put pretty much everything he could in there and he decided to make this a sidequest. A lot of things are in this game based on his nightmares. Which is why Aonuma tries to forget it even exists
Time to re-watch on a lazy rainy Sunday! I like that your commentary is never over the top yelling or overreacting. Makes it nice just to have on to watch as I do chores.
Majora's Mask is one of my favorite games of all time. Watching this makes me want to try a randomizer to breathe some life into a game I've played to death.
Can’t get enough of these zelda randomizers! I hope you still enjoy playing these and don’t feel obligated to play them. Nevertheless, thanks for the video Bill :)
I've only just found you from this video but I'm going to go check out more. I just wanted you to know because you said a few times "I should stop talking about that" I absolutely love that you are just being yourself, and I love the way you tlk through this it's just like going round to a mates house and catching up or having a chat while chilling out playing zelda. Tht and it was interesting to learn those things too. Never stop being yourself and talking about whatever you feel like because it's amazing. I was feeling kinda sad/lonely then watched this and it was just like getting to spend time with a friend. Your content is amazing and you are amazing! Thank you so much for the awesome video. I'm off to watch the OOT one now 😊♥️
Lol I just started a new seed (thanks for showing me this awesome randomizer btw) and I'm having the exact opposite luck lol, nothing but junk DX Glad to see you're trying the new version!
I love your channel man, your commentary feels like you’re just playing together and hanging out together as you explain the game to the viewer. I’m glad people like you exist that don’t have to put on a personality to make us happy. Love you dude
I constantly watch your videos and sometimes even fall asleep when I'm watching them (I'm always on call and tired as hell) but the point is you give me some wild ass Dreams with your commentary
I just sat in my room and watched this for the complete 3 hours. Your commentary is awesome while playing the game, and I just keeped amazed on how interesting it is and how lucky you were in the game. Literally getting the 4 masks at the beginning and the Oath to Order when most needed. Your near-death experience was also very interesting. These 3 hours were worth it :)
This may not get to you but To hear you talk about your medical history with seizures is really inspiring. Due to the fact I also had seizures but wasn't as extreme as you described yours. I somewhat know what you went through because I had them for 10 years. Starting at age 13 I never thought in 10 years I'd have brain surgery to remove my right temporal lobe which was an amazing success only fault is some memory loss and on April 26 2016 I will be seizure free for 4 years! Love your channel and commentary!
Oh yeah, seizures totally wipe your memory. June 14 of last year, I went into hospital having facial seizures (got all twitchy), but then they went more general and started knocking out my consciousness. I vaguely remember my sister calling me before the REAL trouble started, but I can't remember what we talked about. And then NOTHING for a week. No memories at all.
After hearing you talk about how you watched a bunch of vids on the titanic, I'm so happy I'm not the only person who's super interested in that kinda stuff! I always thought I was super weird because I've stayed up several nights watching that kinda stuff, hahaha.
on the note of the billy joel freak out, theres a michael jackson one where he starts going "jobs gone!, jobs gone! yeah yeah yeah" after one of his stage people fucks up
Maybe you might ever see or respond this. But by God the memories you brought back. I remember, me and my best friend at 7 years old, he slept over at my mom's house so we can play this game the day it came out. We started at like 4pm after school and probably stopped Saturday at 5am only getting to the water temple. Good stuff
I don't know if you have any interest in playing more Zelda randomizers, but you make some of the best commentary videos out there. Other UA-camrs are either too hyper and talkative or boring and dull. You hit the perfect sweet spot, and I'm enjoying watching through all your randomizer vids For the first time years after you posted em. Keep up the great work!
Hey, heads up, good old days gaming, I know this was a while ago, but to mention about the titanic ship sinking and being say, trapped in a pocket of air as the ship sank, is completely different than having someone open up a compression room door on you. One scenario, is your body experiencing DECREASE of pressure, (compared to what it's previous state was) causing all the gas in your body to expand rapidly, causing the bends, a brutal experience. The other is a compression scenario, where your body is experiencing an INCREASE of pressure, which the body can handle significantly better than Decrease of pressure. The first thing the person would notice, is having their eardrums implode, due to the pressure inside their skull adjusting significantly slower than the pressure outside, (you can prevent this, but I'm assuming that people don't know how to/or to even have that on their minds as they're in a pitch black enclosed space of a sinking ship, trapped in an air bubble, that's also being compressed (shrinking)) secondly, they would may/likely experience Hyperbaric Arthralgia, which basically means painful joints, what would most likely happen after that, is you'd get super sleepy because of saturation of nitrogen in your system. But, that's about it. Many divers will practice racing down to the bottom of their dives as fast as they can, so that they can spend more time down at the depth they wish to be at, such as those who explore sea wrecks. Most of the issues come from spending longer times down at the bottom, and, coming back up, but your scenario, well, those poor passengers don't have to worry about the bends. The more you know (thumbs up). (also, I really loved the video)
this run of majora's be like: "You want a heart piece? Here, take a heart container instead!" Also... Good Old Days Gaming: "Reincarnating as people is a stupid thing to think about" *is playing a Zelda game*
First Wizrobe: Homeless Man Pre-Goht Wizrobe: Homeless Man part 2: ELECTRIC BOOGALOO Stone Tower Wizrobe: HOW MANY TIMES MUST I TEACH YOU THIS LESSON, OLD MAN?!
I've been watching you for a while now and I just wanna say that I love your commentary, even the random stuff. It's really interesting and you're nice and chill.
May I just say that I really appreciate the stories you share, especially with how you talk about your past experiences. As someone who has had depression myself... you are truly amazing. I love your content and personality and, even though this too will sound cliche, I want you to stay living and know that you are making a difference.
I'm just curious, and totally random thought, but would you ever consider having T-Spring put out a "Ya dope" shirt for you? I'm just trying to think lately of ways to get you more traffic. You deserve more, in my opinion.
Seeing this one year later, and I just love it. You’ve got a great personality, and you’re a damn good commentator. You definitely deserve more subs. :)
Bro you reminded me of a story my dad told me while you were talking about deep diving. My dad was in the navy for years, and during deep dive training they tell you to hold your nose and try blowing to relieve the pressure in your sinuses (same reason why your ears hurt after diving past 6-10ft). One of his training buddies didn’t, got his mask knocked by a passing fish and his sinuses pretty much exploded. It’s insane lol
I was turned over facing the wall charging my phone watching this with my air pods in, and at 2:15:45 I laughed at the elegy of emptiness- going to hell joke my wife thought I was texting other girls laughing. I love your videos bill. You talk about real life shit I think about everyday and your voice is so soothing. I also want a face reveal because I'm that person.
This was awesome! I watched this whole video over the weekend during quarantine. Brought back a lot of good memories playing this game. Enjoyed the talk about near death experiences! Thanks for sharing!
Hey man. I've been going through an awful lot lately, and I've been severely depressed over it. I'm more or less losing my girlfriend and her kid who is like my own son because she's too stressed out for me. But your videos have been helping me drastically. So I just wanted to thank you, so much, for doing these.
Good Old Days Gaming, I absolutely enjoy your videos. Your commentary is awesome, you sometimes give life advice while doing monotonous tasks in games. keep up the awesome work!
Okay I have a few things to say, I literally never new you existed before I fell down that rabbit hole of zelda things on youtube, it was like 1 am but your voice actually lulled me to sleep? so thank you for that, and I watched the entire thing today but I still remember your comment of "we could trade the title deed, but that is toilet paper, and you never want to just throw away good toilet paper" and in the midst of everything going on rn I just laughed my ass off for like five minutes so thank you
This was probably one of the most interesting and entertaining videos I have ever watched. I have seriously never watched a video this long before without skipping but this felt like a journey so I couldn't skip
I have watched alot of your videos in the past, and i never could remember your channel name, Good to be back! You just talk down to earth like a normal person, It's very nice to listen to. Keep it up with the great content man!
i honestly miss the old randomizer. it just had something special to it,even if it was broken.(i also find it funny how people actually forgot that there was a oot rando that was not "almost unbeatable" but instead was just downright unplayable. we have gone a long way since then)
Just found you yesterday, and I already love your content. Making me wanna re-download the emulator to play this because majora and ocarina are two of my favorite games😭 keep the content rolling sir!
after getting about 2 hours in ,i decided to check your youtube page and i gotta day you got a new sub for life . you brought back so many of my childhood memories just looking at what’s your content about all the best and classic games i’d play growing up and i just want to thank you keep up the great work
Totally not my third time watching x) Great way to chill. I know this isn't going to heal your health but I enjoy your videos and I'm glad you're now trying to eat better. Take all the breaks you need, your health comes first.
I was just scrolling through TLOZ randomizer videos, and I'm glad I picked this one to watch! Very entertaining way to kill some time, bravo, my man. You've earned yourself a new sub!

I have seizures too and my trigger was not getting enough sleep
I was diagnosed with epilepsy when i was 14 and i was hospitalized a dozen times, i almost died twice because of my condition, it took me over 15 years to get to a point that i no longer need to take medicine for it anymore and i havent had any seizures in 2 years. Im doing much better now.
I find it genuinely cool how the tunic color also affects links various transformations
Least favorite temple tbh
Worst temple IMO
First video I’ve ever seen from you, I didn’t skip any part of it. Great work
Nor did I cus it's super good contrnt
*one hour in* : "Wow, you're actually really good at keeping a topic interesting even if the person you're talking to won't hear it until after you upload"
*two hours in* : "slightly depressing to hear about all that decompression and shit, but it's still very interesting"
*three hours in, thoroughly terrified* : "Okay, I need to watch funny videos before bed or I'm gonna have nightmares"
The aliens look similar to a being called the Flatwoods Monster.
Yeah! Nobody else notices this.
I just found out about those things a few months ago and the first thing I thought was basically "this must be where Majora's Mask aliens come from."
Nobody notices this except every single person who has literally ever played majoras mask...
That is who they’re based off
Flatwood Mac

Anyone else never know you could climb those pillars
Edit: Especially in the 3DS version
I played 3DS without ever knowing this. The next time I play Majora 3D I’ll know better on where I can go.
I knew those pillars could be climbed for a very long time, and yet I am still finding new stuff in this game nearly 20 years after its release. How they managed to cram so much stuff on such a short devolopment cycle still blows my mind.
Nyxael oh, cool
I never knew you could until i saw this video
@@Nyxael5845 it helps that they didn't have to create a new game engine

Hey, it's Majora's Mask, it couldn't be more relevant

I like how I went from watching a majoras mask randomizer to searching up death by decompression 😂
Same
Even as old as this video is its so much fun to watch all this time later!
It's hard to find channels like this anymore, thank you for the entertainment!
dude how the actual FUCK do you not have more supporters. your funny as hell, your really good at games, and have good stories to talk about
The aliens look a lot like the “Flatwoods Monster” from West Virginian folklore. Look it up!
I live in WV and I've always thought it did too lol
That's exactly what they were modeled after
Yeah, they were modeled after it

At work right now and just got the notification for the new vid drop. Keen as to watch this when i get home!! Thanks Bill!! A.K.A Good Old Days Gaming.
You are an absolute legend brother!
I have probably rewatched this like 8 times it’s my favorite one of your randomizers and I just like your attitude in this one and the jokes
That's over 24 hours ...
Same bro... seen this video 6 times in its entirety, I believe. Every time I come back, I remember this is the right video because of the date at the beginning and how he talks about Deathbasket. The plethora of nuts joke, the 1911 footage, and his near-death experience commentary are the things I remember the best.
Good God. On my seventh or eight view at this point. I come back to this a lot, apparently.
When you watch one of Bill's long plays, you might as well pop some corn and sit back and watch it like a movie.
As soon as I get home from work, I'm watching it. I was completely unaware you had three-cycle of MM, now I got that to watch too. Stay blessed man.
"here's the mail that never fails it makes me wanna wag my tail, when it comes I wanna wail!....
Gibdo mask?"
That sounds so fckin wrong
Ahh memories
Can’t get enough of these zelda randomizers! I hope you still enjoy playing these and don’t feel obligated to play them. Nevertheless, thanks for the video Bill :)
The slowdown from the Goron roll looks like it's from the snow particles, not sure why that's an issue suddenly in this playthough but that's my guess
It’s amazing how you got almost every item you needed
I'm off to watch the OOT one now 😊♥️
Your commentary makes these so infinitely entertaining. I like the random rambling
I just got recommended this video, and I'm glad I clicked in it. Your commentary is up there man, keep it up :)
Lol I just started a new seed (thanks for showing me this awesome randomizer btw) and I'm having the exact opposite luck lol, nothing but junk DX Glad to see you're trying the new version!
Glad you enjoy the Randomizer!
I love your channel man, your commentary feels like you’re just playing together and hanging out together as you explain the game to the viewer. I’m glad people like you exist that don’t have to put on a personality to make us happy. Love you dude
I'm looking foward to watching this for the next 3 hours. Love your vids
this popped up in my recommended and your style really takes me back to watching nintendocaprisun's lets plays as a kid.
It was hard to sit through that 5 minute ad. But i gladly did because i support your channel greatly! Hahaha
Why do you still have ads????
Zacharias D
U wasted 5 minutes so he could get a cpl pennies
This may not get to you but To hear you talk about your medical history with seizures is really inspiring. Due to the fact I also had seizures but wasn't as extreme as you described yours. I somewhat know what you went through because I had them for 10 years. Starting at age 13 I never thought in 10 years I'd have brain surgery to remove my right temporal lobe which was an amazing success only fault is some memory loss and on April 26 2016 I will be seizure free for 4 years! Love your channel and commentary!
Here I am, watching your randomizers once more. You’re just awesome dude.
Talks about Missy Elliot in Stone Temple and doesn't reference "I put my thang down, flip it and reverse it".
Sigh.
I always thought I was super weird because I've stayed up several nights watching that kinda stuff, hahaha.
i just love chilling out and listening to your voice, its very soothing. im a non creepy way.....
The bad thing about scuba diving accidents is ascending too fast and getting nitrogen bubbles in your blood stream
You're the best! I've been watching your banjo tooie let's play on repeat to get my Good Old Days Gaming fix.
I was playing through this game normally and the elegy of emptiness is now engraved in my mind
on the note of the billy joel freak out, theres a michael jackson one where he starts going "jobs gone!, jobs gone! yeah yeah yeah" after one of his stage people fucks up
Maybe you might ever see or respond this. But by God the memories you brought back. I remember, me and my best friend at 7 years old, he slept over at my mom's house so we can play this game the day it came out. We started at like 4pm after school and probably stopped Saturday at 5am only getting to the water temple. Good stuff
Thank you for doing these so much! I hope they never get too boring for you :)
Here, take a heart container instead!"

I've been watching you for a while now and I just wanna say that I love your commentary, even the random stuff. It's really interesting and you're nice and chill.
YES a new randomizer! I love these thank you so much for showing us your gameplay!
The bubblin soup in the hotel kitchen was actually my strongest asmr ever, even before I knew what asmr was. I thought I was weird lol
This is the one I come back to most often! Thanks Bill for the epic content ❤️
Wow a Zelda randomizer 3 hours after the fire emblem video I feel blessed. ( ; u ;)
Pressure is a crazy thing.
"You never want to throw away good toilet paper." How prescient of a comment given the Great TO Shortage of Covid19

This is absolutely amazing... holy mother of god you're lucky Bill!
I have watched alot of your videos in the past, and i never could remember your channel name, Good to be back! You just talk down to earth like a normal person, It's very nice to listen to. Keep it up with the great content man!
Just subscribed to make sure i don't forget you again!
i honestly miss the old randomizer. it just had something special to it,even if it was broken.(i also find it funny how people actually forgot that there was a oot rando that was not "almost unbeatable" but instead was just downright unplayable. we have gone a long way since then)
Just found you yesterday, and I already love your content.
In one hour he went from talking about clocktown to interviews of Titanic survivors.
I was just scrolling through TLOZ randomizer videos, and I'm glad I picked this one to watch! Very entertaining way to kill some time, bravo, my man. You've earned yourself a new sub!
You changed your theme (logo thing) on your channel. That's nice. Hug💚
