Wait, hold on, there’s a part 2!?!?! You guys are blowing my mind! As a canon m50 user, “enhanced” is usually a no-go feature but by the looks of things, with the V10, the brand must have toned it down a tad!
DOA - A midrange smartphone has better quality, stabilisation and even default mics with better wind filter. With 1 inch sensors now in Smartphones the only thing this can be justified is by the price. I don't see the sense of this product nowadays. 3 years ago maybe but not nowadays.
Good points. The microphone does need more work if you want better quality out of the box and the price does make it appealing. Smartphones are getting better but in my experience, the ones I've tried with 1-inch sensors and telephoto periscope lenses, they can get hot to a rather uncomfortable level. And there were some that stopped working altogether. With all the sensitive and important info we have on our phones, it's a tad riskier to rely on imo but in the end it's all about personality and how you use your devices in a way that complements your lifestyle :)
I can do one thing a smartphone can't do. You can see the screen, which you cannot do while using the good cameras on your phone. And, you won't be getting notifications or alarms while filming. And, it has a 1" sensor. I don't know of any smartphones that do.
@lltechview What % of people have Experia phones? Don't know about the rest of the world, but I've never noticed one in the wild in the US. Of course, you can add a small monitor to your phone, but is that a better, cheaper, more convenient alternative to just using a V10?

Looks like it! As long as there's enough light, it's usable for that 'vlog' look. Especially if you don't mind the crop.
Ok ty for the solid information
Thanks for a useful review.
Great test thank you!

@@Metal_seer When filming set your phone to dnd and vlog monitors are a thing for some smartphones (Sony Xperia).
