Another somewhat forgotten classic. Lost favor after the stimulator I think. I like red (deer hair wing and shell) and yellow (bleached elk wing and shell) but the moose mane tail is a must. If you are stuck using all the latest and greatest patterns you should really give this a try. Thanks!

I use yellow foam and brown calf for the tail,l think the brown kep resembles a shuck. It is a killer on bream.

It's a practical pattern, for sure.
Cut A V in the hackle underneath so it rides upright without falling over.

You can tie the fly in any color you want. Little to much hair for the wing. Heck you can use poly yarn for the wing if you want to.
