It's beautiful seeing Flash bringing his A-game. Flash-Bisu-Jaedong is basically the trinty of 2017 Broodwar so they brought out the best for this night.
it is unbelievable how his dragoons look so tough, tanking like champs, and I think the win move was to start with 1 zealot group at the center well timed with tanks not in place yet, and then just in time reinforce with the second from the top. Ill never play like that....insane

@@mareksicinski3726Even before they stopped caring about SC2 they were bad at supporting games. Ever heard of Heroes of the Storm my dude? Luckily Microsoft is buying Blizz out, big Pog!
I realize this is an old video and probably a stupid question but why can Terran afford to send an scv to scout in the early game? Seems like that’s valuable resource gather that they aren’t receiving. Are they just screwed early game if they don’t plan around what their opponent does?
Yep, scouting is very important to know what your opponent is doing. Your opponent might do a cheesy all-in and if you aren't ready, there is a high chance that you will lose the game. As long as you have at least 1 worker per mineral field in the early game you should be fine.
Why Terran pro players never use ghosts in tvp? Lockdown is very prowerful to disable arbiters. Also medics can use optical Flare in ranged units to reduce their range to 1.
I understand that is it too gas expensive, fragile unit for late game. I have seen veeery few games where ghost are actually useful in veeery late game, like vs carriers, but I have never ever seen nukes in a pro match
@@datelovuelta usually only have seen nukes from boxer in the earlier micro days. but its very very gas inefficient and also very risky move to pull off.
As a Terran user: For Ghost - You need to invest a lot to have it. - Have little or no synergy with Terran Mech - The spell may be somewhat useful, but Ghost alone royally sucks against everything Toss may throw to you. - As Terran, you would want more tanks and Ghost is almost as gas expensive (75) as a Tank (100). Lockdown is also an expensive spell (100 energy), so you won't be able to use it soon. Vessels are expensive too, but it shut down Arbiters in a more efficient way, are more mobile and they are detectors. It covers more things. For Medics - Almost everything I said before could be applied. - Why would you want to blind something when Protoss usually have a bunch of units and observers all across the map? He would have the sight of the other units in his deathball.
I never really understood the opening.. Why do the Dragoons just sit at a distance and pound an empty bunker or a bunker with one or two marines in there?? They could just pick off the SCVS at least or bulldoze themselves in. Why are they so scared of the bunker. It takes forever for them to kill ONE dragoon no less four or five. This strategy never made any sense to me. Then they are deadly afraid of one TANK.. he could have easy just ran in there and wiped that tank out but he ran like one tank is going to kill five dragoons.. I really can't understand these Korean openers.
its because repairing the bunker costs minerals for the terran and a lot of mining time and it costs nothing for the protoss, also if they pushed through they may lose the dragoons which loses map control. the game is very in depth.
@@paxconsciente3352 Two marines and a bunker is not gonna kill four or five dragoons..They could easily just run in there and wipe out a ton of Scvs..And one shot, the one tank
Best way to find out is to try it. This opening is common pretty much across all skill levels now. But the gist of it is that the repairing scvs can be used to block the goons and with good micro you can keep the tank just far enough. Plus, these goons are kinda critical at that point in the game, loosing them is not a good idea.
@@Guinea54 Flash had a sim city that prevented Dragoons from reaching the main, his only other option would be to directly kill SCVs in the natural which just wouldn't be worth it, he'd need to do a massive amount of damage since Flash had his 2nd command center up so early. Pressuring the bunker avoids all of that risk and still forces lost mining + cost of repairs. Just to clarify, he'd probably need to kill 8 + SCVs for it to be worth losing those goons, which is just unrealistic. Also if the repairing SCVs body block a run by, Bisu gets almost no damage and potentially loses his goons, there are so many reasons why it'd be a bad idea to dive with them this early.
Ok, i love flash, jaedong, bisu, stork...but flash is not the best overall gamer of all time, hes just the best at RTS games. Dude would have no idea what to do on xcom enemy unknown and would probably quit after losing and restarting 20 times. I know its a small thing to get annoyed by, but cmon. Think before you speak lol. Theres many many genres of games out there, flash is the master of only one: Real Time Strategy.
Flash isn't good at XCOM because he has never played it, similar things could be said about him with FPS games. But this is true of everyone, you're almost never going to see someone who is competing at the highest level of multiple games so I don't see the point of bringing other games into this discussion. He'd be good at those games if he dedicated himself to them, Starcraft just happens to be the one he cared about and invested time into. Flash has still accomplished more than any esports player in history, his run may still continue when he returns to pro play. We may never see another player like Flash again, in any game. If there's anyone that could take that title, it would be Flash.
