Him/her is an indirect object, which translate (both) to "lui". So "I trust him/her" you have to use "lui".

You can say either but adding "toute" is probably more authentic in French.

Bonjour Alexa,can we say "on s'entends bien avec ma meilleure ami" instead of "nous nous entendons bien avec ma meilleure amie " ? Merci beaucoup pour cette vidéo
The phrase 'nous nous entendons bien' should not be followed by 'avec ma meilleure amie' as it already means you both get on. (The 'nous nous' means exactly that). On 'sentend bien' also works but not with 'avec mon amie'. Use the phrases separately.

Bonjour, professeure. Ma meilleure amie s'appelle Cristina. Elle est très difficile mais gentille et elle est petite, elle a les yeux marrons. Elle travaille dans la magasin et elle est attentive et adorable. Je la connais depuis que je fais les courses. Nous nous entendons bien, elle est toujours là dans les moments difficiles et je lui fais confiance. Tes leçons m'accompagnent toujours là et pour ça je te remercie beaucoup. Au revoir.
