Joe, You are doing an amazing job. I see you and Jade being happy there in the future. You are very lucky young people to be blessed with such a parcel of land. God bless you both and looking forward to seeing your progress in the coming future. Many blessings to you both.
With 52 acres, & trails to maintain I highly recommend a tractor. We have a John Deere 2025R with a 60” mid mower deck & it still takes 5hrs to mow 4.5 acres (we have 5). Plus the frt loader comes in very handy. Use it to haul your tools & saw, & use it to haul fire wood back. Use it for placing dirt to form the track. With land it’s such a useful tool for the job.
@@2vintage start with a good old diesel tractor over 50hp and 3 speed pto for your bush hog, mower, snow blower and other implements and maybe get a fixer upper backhoe for the loader and shovel both with a couple implements can be found for around $20 000

Just a heads up might want to back that throttle down just a hair on the brush cutter as it sounded like the choke was still on as you were cutting…. Don’t want you foul out the spark plug on your brush cutter but super cool job that thing cuts great and best of luck with the new house purchase 🤞
You are going to love late fall to spring when you get to actually see the terrain bare from foliage. Getting to see what you can't see now, I'm excited for you and looking forward to you showing us more.
Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.
That works great, once you get initial cut will be awesome, I run a mower all summer for my Highway department and use a big John Deere with brush hog, so peaceful. Love this content also, best of both worlds.
Love this channel. One tool we have for our hunting / utv / 4 wheeler / snowmobile land is a Stihl Kombi system and the following attachments: brush cutter, weed whacker with plastic blades not string, and pole saw. You can load all attachments onto the back of the 4 wheeler and chainsaw on front for the big stuff. Makes trail maintenance for branches and side brush super easy and we use it to make new little off shoots of existing trails to connect to others pretty quickly for tree stands. It was a game changer. I only did it the way you did it one year and then went searching for a better solution and landed on the Stihl Kombi. Now I wish we had a swisher! Keep crushing it (with a few more sleds!!!!!!!)
Absolutely beautiful piece of property you have there Joe. Also, thanks for the educational video, until today I had no idea that a pull behind trail mower was even a thing, lol. I have always used a push mower raised to its highest settings.
The woodland is really nice lots of potential for trails and a homestead , great to see the machines being used for what they were designed for 👍👍 you could do with a rake and a small baler and make some hay bales from the grass 👍
2 suggestions; use zip ties or velcro straps and attach your control wire to the connect arm and then to the atv. Next add a chain gaurd to the discharge area. This will keep from hurling chunks of debris and will help act as a mulcher, returning some of the grass for a second cut.
Congratulations Joe! You are living my dream! Instead I now live in the Arizona desert which was my secondary dream! I can't complain though and you have some very nice property ... enjoy!
Congratulations on finding the right property. The past few videos have the feeling of watching the start of something big. I just wish you lived a bit closer so my son and i could load the quads on the trailer and come help. Cant wait to see what's next. Be careful and have fun!
I was lucky enough to pick up a swisher mower like yours, the previous owner said it was locked up. I pulled the top pull starter and found that someone had dropped a small piece metal roofing and it got caught up in the starter paws and wouldn't let it turn over. The only other problem turned out to be that a chipmunk had chewed a hole in the fuel tank, Tank replaced carb cleaned it runs very well and the company still has parts to spare. total price $120.00 dollars for the new tank and a new drive belt. Thanks for your videos.
This is exciting. I am anxiously looking forward to seeing your progress. You have a great plot of land to work with. I like it much better than what I've sen you and your brother ride on in the past.

Love your new place man you have the spot for the toys now get your wife that beautiful home and life is good bro ♥️👍🏽👍🏽 congrats on your new place man 💪🏾💪🏾
Joe, take it from me, keep your trails as wide as you can. I know - I'm Johnny come latley but mow everything (in the woods and keep it opened) that the past owner has. Mother Nature will reclaim it faster than you think. It is much easier to mow now than it is to cut even small trees and get rid of them. Also, I saw you bending over cutting the berry bushes with your chain saw. Your brush cutter will go right through them. And if you want to purchase something handy get a weed whacker and a Forester 9in chain saw blade attachment. It'll cut through anything. JUST DON"T HIT A ROCK! Dulls it immediately. I so love doing this type work on your/my own property. P.S. I didn't think a Honda would let you down..
Nice mower for sure! On these engines the throttle and choke are often on the same lever, so to avoid choking it you should back of on the throttle until the rpms peak. You do not want to run it choked all the time.
