Their so called rebate does not cover the cost of everything going up because of their cost going up. It doesn't cover the HST on the carbon tax. It doesn't cover the second carbon tax aka "Clean fuel standard". No tax will ever change the weather. Thankfully people are waking up.

Doug Ford reduced the tax on gas by 10 cents per liter in Ontario that's the only reason if it's down ,I haven't seen any cheaper food in the stores ! I call bull shit !

Just got my home heating bill (natural gas). The charges were $93.12. My actual usage was $22.88, BUT the carbon tax was $17.59! Then there were other changes (water heater, heating/cooling plan, HST etc) bringing the total to $187.86. Oh, and I haven't been home for a month so I turned down the thermostat to 14°! The climate won't kill us - the Liberals will!

Pierre talks about the rebate every day . He tells the truth though, that people pay much more than they get back. If most people are getting more back than they pay why are you bothering with the tax since you must be losing money on the deal and you still have to pay government workers to administer the tax. The amount paid comes out of your own government's offices and it is much more than the rebate in each province.
You know, not everyone in Canada lives in the city. I live in a rural country community; I do not have the option of jumping on a bus or subway to get to work, I have no choice but to drive. An electric vehicle is absolutely out of the question, not only because of the cold climate but because of the ranges that I need to drive to get to work, get to the grocery store, etc. I honestly cannot believe the level of insanity that is out there amongst these people. $1800 per year hmmm. Let me think about this. How are we better off when the price of groceries and everything else rises because of the cost to ship goods to grocery stores .....I am sure the cost of our food is up over that now per year. We shop every week and are now spending $50 extra per week for the same food we bought before this nonsense. So $52 x 50 = $2600 a year just for my wife and I. I dont know how a family of four is doing it
