I’ve been here it’s okay the food is bad made me sick the restaurant are lacking in portion sizes I’d recommend sticking to the buffets. But the jungle setting is perfect there’s no real beach just a man made one the shorelines pretty rocky but being in the jungle is nice.

Hi! How was the a la cart restaurants situation? Do we really need to wake up at 6 to book restaurants for that night? And is it true that you can only try one restaurant once？
Great review! I stayed here 5 years ago. I'm really glad I watched your video because we didn't book Expedia vip so we didn't think we had access to that extra pool where your room is located. Is that pool exclusive to vip guests or can anyone use that pool? I also didn't realize anyone can snorkel off to the side of that natural pool. I'll definitely be checking that out on our next visit. Amazing place!

Great video and so detailed! Will be going in December. When booking under Expedia VIP, I see a choice of Deluxe Room with Concierge, or just Deluxe Room. Would they still help book restaurants if you chose the room without concierge?

Yes, you need to make reservations for all restaurants. It will say on the main booking page VIP on Expedia... you kinda need to search for it but it's there. You can even set the filter for VIP
I’m going there this Sat! We moved our res from playa car to this resort due to weather. Figure we can spend a few days here exploring instead of being at iberostar. Lot more to do. Any tips for kinda crappy weather? That tropical storm is just rolling thru. Thanks for the input and great vid! 💯
I have been here four different times. Avoid the bus that transports you from the airport and rent a car instead. Cars are very affordable and you have the luxury to travel outside the resort. We don’t spend much time in the room so we don’t get the royal level rooms.

Yes they do, ask the bellhop at the main entry to call a taxi for you BUT ask for the price of the taxi before he calls the taxi
I made a reservation thru Expedia but im still at blue level...do you know if the concierge can be use by all expedia levels..blue,silver,gold?

No, that's the xcaret park next door.

I think you'll be amazed the rain will not last long and you'll be by the lagoon or sea water pool most of the day due to heat

What are the benefits of booking through Expedia compared to booking through the hotel with the deluxe concierge?
Wish I could answer that question. I only have my experience thru Expedia VIP but I'm guessing maybe the same? Might need to call barcelo on that one
