This depiction of Odin is so perfect. I love that he is a stark contrast to Thor, physically. Thor is huge and all about raw power, while Odin is all about words and deception. I love that they didn't make Odin look like a warrior or anything, because he isn't one. He actually never fights personally in the myths (well, aside from the killing of Ymir for the building of the world). But yet, he has even more commanding presence than Thor, he walks in states that "You know who i am", grabs chair for himself, and drinks the mead from the table. I also love that when Mimir says "if he tells you snow is white, he is lying" and Odin just dismisses it with "What kind of wisdom is that?". Mimir, who is really smart is still made to look like a fool with that line.

Kratos's struggle to be a father is so heartwarming and endearing to see. Nothing can prepare you for raising a child, let alone as a single parent, but he does his best, and it really shows.

Every struggle between Kratos and Atreus is heart wrenching because the player get sto see their journey together, and experience it through the eyes of Kratos. Calliope had little screentime and barely any spent with the player. Sure, it sucks for Kratos and you can feel sorry for him, but it won't have the same personal meaning to the player.
It's probably even harder for him, since he already lost a wife and child centuries before, as well. It's like he's scared out of his mind to be a father. You have a point about Calliope, though. And as for other members of his family, like his mother and his brother, I'm sure the player felt sort of worse for them, as we actually got to interact with them as Kratos, and then, watch them die, as well.

He gets mad at Atreus claiming he was only there for moments, however was interrupted by his own shock at seeing the piles of corpses of soldiers, all of whom had been killed by Atreus.(like, a pile of 125 + about 7 smaller bits of 10 soldiers) so yeah, he can fight

I used to skip over the part where Fenrir died because i had not experienced the loss of a pet. But, once my dog died on Thanksgiving, I gained a whole lot more respect for both Atreus and the game itself. Now, when I rewatch this series, I never skip over that scene because it reminds me of my own dog.
