I live in the middle of a National FOREST, up in the Rocky Mountains. There are so many down trees from high winds to wood Beatles. No need to worry about true woodsmen cutting down trees. One has to respect the forest to survive.

Ditch the nails. Get yourself an auger. A quality auger will have an eyelet, the exact size of the hole it drills. You can then craft wooden pins to hold it all snugly in place. Also, if you want it to hold up to the elements and pests, remove the bark from your trees and scorch the outside in a fire. The removal of the bark will lessen mold and decay because it retains moisture. Scorching it repels most pests. You are less likely to be kept up all night, listening to the bugs chew on the wood. Beautiful build. I'm impressed. Great ingenuity. One last thing, are you resistance or empire? You have both sigils. One on each arm. 😂😂😂

It’s juice from a birch. In Spring the birch produce very much juice.
