The vision you have when it comes to restoration and the skills too so you can make it happen is first class.
Most people would not have touched those 3 lamps for 70 Euros as taking them from what they were to what they are now is beyond them. Hats off again to you both as unfortunately what you are capable of / confident in giving a go seems to be dying out and for many it's all about buying new / getting people in to do the work these days.

Great recycling and transformation Peter, they really look lovely and at such a bargain price!
Bet the locals are really pleased you bought the place as the exterior now looks really cared for and in keeping, compared to when you bought the house. Well done both of you!

Your restoration skills are excellent. Keep up the great work. One tiny suggestion concerns the colors of the lights. I dislike mixing “white light” bulbs/leds with “”yellowish light” bulbs. The yellowish light is far more period correct than the bright white light that looks garish. Can you convert the ones that are more pure white to more of a yellowish color by spraying the white lights with a translucent spray tint. I have previously used a translucent yellowish spray to do just that. That kind of spray is often used by car people to tint their headlights etc. I think it would make your lighting more consistent. I think it is unfortunately a bit of a mismatch now. Love your work and effort on restoring the building. Keep up the great work

Thank you Bentley - great minds and all that sir, we thought exactly the same and fitted all the lamps with the softer creamier white!!

@@ItsaWonderfulLife2 That's great to hear. We have all made that mistake of mismatched globes at some time in our lives. I find it a constant source of frustration just trying to buy consistent colored warm white globes from the hardware for use within the house.

Hiya Jill! Its been a roller coaster of reading and research on those jobs that we need doing but don't have the skills. We are both luckily creative people and that has helped a great deal on our work here. We will be sure to cover how we deal with rust soon :-)

    • @ItsaWonderfulLife2

Hiya Moira, its not huge like some of the 17th and 18th Century Chateaus, ours is Art Nouveau design, 8 bedrooms, over 4 floors, 400 sm in total - its perfect for us two though!

@@ItsaWonderfulLife2 (Moira Ashton) I was thinking it was a different era to some of the others, as it looks very neat and compact, as you say, just right for two, Its going to be stunning when finished, I can't believe how beautiful your work is, I've been binge watching your vlogs, I think I've seen them all, and then another pops up, keep them coming !!! 🥰😍
