I've been wanting to start sewing different clothes or just learning the basics like fixing a rip in clothes. Were there any outlets that helped you or are you self taught?

I’m pretty much self taught, though I took classes in college. Checkout my video all about my favorite sewing and fashion books because there are great resources there. However if you are excited and ready to learn UA-cam is your best friend! Choose a skill, find a video, and practice! I believe anyone can become an expert if they are willing to learn 💕

@@MaddieLynn That’s very good advice, and reassuring. I want to make men’s clothes, and all my best sewing friends don’t really do that. I have so many designs in my head; I just need to learn how to make them.

just curious, how does it work? those are large rolls, do people be walking around carrying 10 of those giant things? do they have some elevator or contraption if you have a bunch you need from like the top floor? or is there a cutting table on each? sorry im just so intrigued by the logistics of this place lmaoooo

Totally valid! Usually if you have a roll of fabric you want you give it to one of the workers who takes it to the cutting counter…if you don’t have a lot they let you carry it yourself but there’s always people in the store helping you and cutting fabric

Why cities in India do not have this kind of store where we can go around the store like malls. When India is where most of the fabrics ate made yet we common people get the cheapest quality products and the price is hilarious. I am so annoyed right now because i can't even start to sew anything even though i love sewing because the prices of the fabrics are a joke. Also our shops only keeps indian prints and colourful colours and to find this kind of variety will be heaven for me.

India sounds like Canada, where the forests are chopped down and turned into wood pellets for shipment to the European Market, and local Canadians can't go to those factories and buy any of it. It all goes into the Global distribution system. You know which family is collecting all the coin on those products. When they destroy all the "crown forests" then they come to confiscate the all the individual farmers resources.

You can subscribe to their mailing lists. They send you offers on fabrics frequently. I find their goods to be expensive. just search for their website and subscribe to email list.
