    This is a very basic soldering how to video inspired by my teenager asking how it is done. This is by no means meant to be an all inclusive lesson. Just simply a basic introduction into how I learned many years ago by wiring up hot rods.

    What temperature do you run your soldering iron at? I bought the Bulkman3D kit like yours and the videos have helped me finally get it put together. Thank you for service, from a retired AF SNCO.

      400ish. Smaller wires don’t need that much heat. If you are working fast from wire to wire you can stick with 400. If you are going to spend more than a couple seconds on smaller wires turn the temp down. Larger wire will need more heat. Keeping the iron tip “wet” really helps with the heat transfer.
