Hi Rob, I'm looking to buy a lift for my garage but have been put off 2 post lifts by the fact my concrete floor is an unknown quantity and although it looks like it's very thick, I think maybe it was poured in two stages and I have no idea whether it is 3000psi or if it has rebar included or not. It's also a bit uneven in places. So, how confident are you that the H-frame design of this lift should alleviate concerns over the concrete strength? Did the documentation come with any concrete depth requirements for example? I'm not looking to lift anything heavier than my ~1.7 ton BMW 5 series so I'm well within the overall capacity of the lift. I'm just a bit paranoid (probably a healthy thing) about lift failure due to poor concrete. Also, does the H-frame cause any issues when driving cars over the centre beam? How high off the ground is this beam? One thing I considered was shuttering off the floor around the lift and pouring some self-levelling screed to form a new, smooth workshop surface but I'm not sure if this might cause issues with the swing arms hitting the ground. Anyway, thanks for your video. Craig.
How can someone make a video of a lift and not show it working!
Will this 2 post lift a discovery 3
