Justice and revenge are not the same thing: To seek revenge is to "fulfill one's personal vindictive motives"... it's inherently selfish and therefore often wildly disproportionate, brutal, cruel and savage. To seek justice means "to make the situation correct to the appropriate moral and cultural standards"... it's about the community and preventing the offender from hurting more people in the future. Thr differences between justice and revenge are subtle but of colossal importance. Revenge is evil, justice is good. People who cannot tell the difference typically become monsters or their victims. Story 2: I subscribe to a general rule that, if one can help it, one should *_never_* let a Karen walk away from a situation thinking they've won (because it only serves to encourage further bad behavior). The one major exception to this? If the apparent victory is a setup to pull the rug out from under them. This story is another example of that major exception. While the $1 of gas the Karen got was $1 more than they deserved, it did serve to pull the rug out from under them because they were expecting a lot more.
Apartment story: As much of an asshole the landlord probably was to the op. The landlord is under no obligation to notify you of other tenants behaviors. It's the OPs fault they didn't ask about the neighbors and didn't wanna seem intrusive. Their passive anti social behavior isn't anyone else's to deal with. The landlord sounds like a scumbag and the lease agreement sounds sketchy at best. That's when the op should've walked away. The op should be upset at that. Also at their own ignorance as to why they didn't act like an adult and ask questions that they could've easily gotten the answers to. The op could've easily prevented all this stress, if they did their due diligence. The landlord didn't "trick" you into anything.
First Story: I’m glad that Rick was exposed. HR was useless as always. The company was stupid to ever take on and retain managers such as him. I doubt the company will survive if they keep up these incompetent and unjust leadership practices.

4 dollars can’t buy anyone drugs (prob besides glue). Plus ppl can’t just assume that homeless ppl are buying drugs. They have to eat and live off of kind ppl when they’re homeless. Do they rlly think they’ll buy dr*gs when they’re on the verge of dying of starvation. Ty for listening to my Ted talk
