Unrelated, but I started watching Gilmore Girls at your recommendation and I love it so much. All of the characters are so well-written, and I am so invested in their stories. It's quickly become one of my all time faves. :)
Have you seen Set It Up on Netflix yet?? It's one of the best straight up rom-coms I've watched in a long time. I already want to watch it again! Also just wanted to say that I look forward to these videos every month. Whether it's discovering something new (omg The Bold Type!) or commiserating with you (Deadpool 2 was...eh) it's always a good time :)
I was about to tell you that it is on Netflix haha. But yeah, I'm from Malaysia and I literally just finished it today. The series was soo gooooood but the ending...it's a good closing i guess? It flatlined but it's alright
Just wanted ur opinion on this Netflix show called the hollow. It's like dirk gently, cos everything is so random. It's animated too, which Is different
I watched the Alienist and I really liked it too. I really like those shows that try to get inside a murderer's head because they are very interesting and this show especially because of the time period. My favorite character is Sara, Dakota Fanning's character. She is just so intelligent and independent and she has really valuable insight for the team. I just really, really liked her character.
I really love Mamma Mia! (One of my favorite movies of all time.) I also need to see the new one(SO EXITED!!). Christine , you really need to see the first one again. This time don't take it serious (in a critics kind of way. Have fun.). Which makes me recall, of a memory from 2017 september. I was at a singing camp. At a places that had it's own cinema. Where me and everyone else watched it (the first one.), and it was so fun. We sang along to every single song. Which is the way to enjoy it. Singing and with others. Hope you like it this time.
Every time you upload one of these my list of things to read and watch keeps getting longer and longer. And that is obviously a good thing. Love from México ❤️
AHHHHH You should definitely rewatch the first mamma mia movie!! It's one of my favorite movies/musicals, it's such a great feel good movie! Mamma Mia 2 was just AMAZING! I am so so so happy they made it happen. At first I was really skeptical since sequels are often unnecessary but they did such a great job!
It’s my birthday today and I am so excited to see a video from you!! All my favorite booktubers have posted today and it is like my birthday present!! Love your videos!!
Season 2 of Glow was sooo good, the main romance at the end is amazing. Pain and suffering and confusion does not equal love. Love can be easy and simple too. Only problem I have is I wish Bash had more screen time, his story was so deep and important, but it only had like, 5 scenes
Four of those movies I still need to watch. Also, Incredibles (the original) was amazing. On vacation with my family we tried to watch Incredibles 2, but tickets were sold out. My family loves the Incredibles so much so I can't wait to see the sequel.
I just re-read And I Darken and am currently re-readin Now I Rise in preparation for Bright We Burn which arrived yesterday and I'm so excited to read it!!! 😍
I love the National Treasure movies. Those were favorites as a kid and last year I rewatched them just because I felt like it and they were still really good and interesting. I've been meaning to watch The Alienist, but was interested in reading the book, so I've put it off. I just edited my June Favorites video, so that was a refresher on what I loved in June- lots of music stuff, but for movies, shows, and books: The Secret History by Donna Tartt was really good and a new favorite book. I went to your Booksplosion event at the B&N in Orange and said I was reading it, but at that point I hadn't finished it. You said you hadn't heard of it before and were confused as to how it had slipped under your radar since Jesse and Kat knew about the book. Anyway, I also read The Miseducation of Cameron Post and liked that. I thought the plot would only be with her at the conversion camp, but it actually starts earlier, so you see more development which I very much appreciated. There was one scene though that was pretty graphic and very sudden. A little bit more of a warning would have been helpful, but it's also the kind of thing where if it happened in real life it would be shocking just like that, so in that way it seems realistic. For shows, I finished Sex and The City which was really enjoyable and I can see myself rewatching it and kind of being a show that I could have on all the time, like Friends is to some people. I watched all the episodes of Sherlock and liked it but I honestly don't understand how it's rated so highly! It was good and if they're making more episodes I'll definitely watch them but I'm not obsessed by any means. I watched a lot of movies and I finally started using Letterboxd, so I can just look at my "diary" and see what I watched. I'm working on rewatching all of Wes Anderson's films because I want to do a video or video series going through, talking about them, and ranking them. Wes Anderson is one of my favorite directors. So, I'm watching his films in chronological order and Bottle Rocket surprisingly became a new favorite, The Royal Tenenbaums is still my favorite film of his, and Rushmore and Life Aquatic were still very good and enjoyable. I watched a few Ingmar Bergman films. He is another one of my favorite directors. This year is his 100th birthday/centennial (he's dead though just to clarify that). He's a Swedish director and I'm watching as many films of his this year that I can (as some are unavailable or are hard to get) and I'm watching them in chronological order. It's interesting seeing his work progress as he was developing a style and such. And I also watched some adaptations: The Glass Castle and My Cousin Rachel, both of which I liked but didn't love. Both were interesting though and faithful adaptations in my opinion, as I've read both those books. And my favorite film I saw in June was Love, Simon! I was so emotional and I think it's a great adaptation, especially in terms of YA adaptations, even though they made some changes and I really don't like that they made Leah have a crush on Simon. But I'm hoping they adapt Becky Albertali's other books, even though I haven't read them yet and need to get on that! Ok. I didn't mean to write an entire paragraph, but here you go. This is me sharing what I've been reading and watching! :D Also, it was so great going to the Booksplosion event. I'm thankful that you guys do that (and that I live like 20 minutes away) and that I got to meet you guys!
I just saw Incredibles 2 and oh my gosh it is amazing! It is definitely my second favorite Pixar movie, next to Up (like you Christine!). All of the books sound so good, I always need new books to read. Love ya. -Kyra
Hey Christine, something random: some of the writers of national treasure (the Wibberleys) have a daughter, emily wibberley, who recently co-wrote always never yours, which is a really cute, fluffy contemporary about the girl before and a high school theatre production of romeo and juliet and it's so good!
Just saw Mamma Mia, it was amazing. When Cher turns and gasps "Fernando" I cracked up so hard, loved how much the film made fun of itself, it was hilarious.
These are some of my favorite videos from you! I'm going to see Taylor Swift on the 22nd and I've been binging all your Taylor Swift relates videos in preparation!
Great video 🙂 I’m definitely going to watch the alienist it looks really good. Also you have definitely become one of my favourite UA-camrs your videos are amazing and you also seem to have a great personality. 🙂

I really want to watch The Alienist! I read the book a few months ago, which was amazing. If anyone is looking to read the book, I highly recommend the audiobook!
YASS I'VE BEEN WATCHING SO MANY THINGS RIGHT NOW!!!. I've literally been watching about a movie a day. I may or may not have been singing along to the intro.
I LOVED Glow!! IT was so funny and interesting! And the alienist was so good!!!! I am glad it got nominated for an Emmy. The incredibles is probably my favorite pixar movie after up. It's just so good!
Have you wanted to see the movie Tag? I thought it was surprisingly HILARIOUS and really think you would love it. It also has that heartfelt touch to it and everyone in the theater was laughing and I left grinning so wide just ahhhhh Incredibles 2 was PHENOMENAL
These videos are the best. I love them so much, your energy is amazing and your reviews and thought process are suuuuupper on point, and like... thought about. Loovvee❤️❤️❤️❤️
Omg I loved the incredibles 2!! Waited 14 years for that!! And i really like Ant Man and I loved the second one! I can't believe you didn't talk about the end though! The end had me dying! I was like oh my god noooo!! It was so good!
I finally started Crazy Ex-Girlfriend this month because I hear you rave about it all the time and oh my god it's everything I've ever wanted in a rom-com TV show
I highly recommend Penny Dreadful and The Knick! They’re super interesting, especially with The Knick and seeing how medicine has evolved! Also Hannibal is amazing -but I may be a little bias bc I’m studying forensic psychology. (The Knick and Hannibal may be a little gruesome- just as a forewarning) Ps: right there with you with Westworld and The Alienist
The Alienist is on the UK Netflix, so maybe on US soon. I loved it too. Dakota Fanning definitely sold it for me. Oh man I can't wait to read A Very Large Expanse of Sea.
If you like The Alienist, I recommend The Knick- about hospitals/doctors in New York in the early 20th century..it's fascinating and should have stayed on the air for so much longer than it did
Have you seen The Magicians? it's like a combination of Harry Potter and Narnia, the first two seasons are on Netflix. And I think maybe you'd enjoy it.
My 2012 self is screaming at the fact that I edited this video! SO HAPPY TO HELP YOU OUT IN YOUR TIME OF NEED! Love you my beautiful friend! 💕

I love the National Treasure movies. Those were favorites as a kid and last year I rewatched them just because I felt like it and they were still really good and interesting. I've been meaning to watch The Alienist, but was interested in reading the book, so I've put it off.
