Bonriki International Airport in Tarawa / Kiribati : 04/03/13

Spent a few occasions at the Airport filming the flight arrivals & departures during my 3rd visit in Tarawa & staying for 21 nights from the 14/02/13 to 07/03/13. I was staying at TAD'S GUESTHOUSE & the accommodation is only a 5 min's drive away from the Airport, with only two flights per week with AIR-PACIFIC on their BOEING 737-700 AIRCRAFT, Flight schedule are on Mondays & Thursdays & only a 3 hour direct flight from Nadi, this certainly is one of the highlights for many of the local people viewing the arrivals & departures, the departure flight leaves Nadi at 5am & 8am arrival into Tarawa, the departure time back to Nadi should be 9am, however these flights rarely leave on time & my flight departing Tarawa on the 07/03/13 was delayed for over 3 hours & missed my connecting flight back to Sydney Australia. Stayed in Nadi for one night [expense to the airline] & flying out direct to Sydney on the 08/03/13. It was great be able to get a close-up zoom while filming without any obstructions or being fenced in or being bossed around with security staff to move away.

Nice videos. Air Pacific/Fiji Airways should be thanked for maintaining this transport lifeline to Kiribati. I only hope the Kiribati Government invests heavily in tourism.

Woow...Fiji airlines already used the Boeing 737-800 in 2013. We in Indonesia at that time did not use the Boeing 737-800 at all.
we just used the boeing 737-800 in 2020 😄
