I think this Summer will be about clearing deadwood and if a deal or two is available going for it. Starting the season bringing in more younger talents from U18 and letting ETH have a squad he can have a lot more control over hoping Rashford will get the boot, his sale alone could pay for two or three new talents.

Have to be smart. Pick up some ‘low risk’, low/no fee transfers, on short contracts that will plug obvious holes (cb, dm) with the view that they may only be with us for a year, or more, if successful.

There's still time for Dan Ashworth to be in place but if not I think Omar Berrada & Jason Wilcox will oversee the recruitment this summer & that will include the future of Ten Hag but I think Ten Hag will stsy for the time being as we'll be focusing on bringing the right people in. Hopefully we can bring in someone like Julian Ward aswell to be our new Head of Recruitment. Either way u look at it patience is gonna be needed. Gotta back this new process

I'm quite sure a picture does exist of John Murtough where he's not standing next to Erik ten Hag. This picture is popping up so much however that I can't shake the feeling that there is an almost subliminal attempt to associate everything about John Murtough, especially the negative, with Erik ten Hag.
We have far more scouts than Nice helps. I wonder if the scouts may be given more of a voice, as they didn't rate Antony. We have been linked with so many top players in recent years, but the club has panic bought. Love if the scouts get far more input and sway in this window.

I would suggest that eth get a new team and let the ineos give eth another chance to build up a strong team coz now we gat a new director of football, technical director and a CEO as well who are experienced. All that team shall bring back the glorious days of man UTD.
I have got a question: Dan Ashworth and Omer Berrada are both on gardening leave and cant officially start working yet, but we are going for Jason Wilcox and I am 100% sure Omer Berrada suggested to go for him because he knows him from his time at city.
So my questions is, isn't it possible dan and omer berrada are working on the transfer and manager strategy even now, just not officially. I mean they can still be involved behind the scenes and ratcliff can present anyone as the face!

@@TNT_12 fair enough. However, their finances are worst than ours. And according to financial experts they won't be able to do that. Additionally, the only leverage they have is to make us wait. If we decide to go ahead without Ashworth this summer than there is no leverage. We are just being patient and not being bent over a barrel like the past decade.

Well summed up 👍 In my opinion, I don’t expect too many major changes, especially with the Euros ongoing, and particularly with those overpaid lazy inconsistent players not wanting to move on because of their long term contracts. It’ll be another disappointing window as far as I can see
This is a “big” transfer window. But more in terms of having a proper reset like we should have done two years ago.
This summer is about having a clear out and identifying the players we want to keep long term. And then focusing on building the right structures and principles.
How do we want to play? What is the team’s philosophy and identity? Going position by position and working out what type of players fit that philosophy. Then identifying the players and coaches over the next few years to bring in that fit that philosophy. We are not fixing the issues with this club in a window. Better to hold fire and not burn through more cash before you have a proper strategy. That will come from ashworth, berrada, wilcox and Radcliffe working together to figure it out.
Ineos have already said the focus will be on finding and developing young players. So we can dismiss the fears of a bunch of old vets coming in.
It took Edwards and klopp a good few years to build their squad. Arsenal the same.
Would much rather a quiet summer in terms of incomings if it coincided with a clear out and clear strategy with a more long term approach.
It is a big summer. But to set the foundations for the long term. Not any short term fixes.

If we can get rid of players who are on too much money and make no effort along side all the players that just arent good enough. Then signings can happen. Id rather we field kids for a season if it means fixing the club
That united squad needs a massive overhaul as most will know by now. Sell/let go : Varane, Maguire, Williams, Wan Bissaka, Casemiro, McTominay, Sancho, Antony, Greenwood, Martial, Rashford, Pellistri.
Potential signings: Frimpong, Branthwaite, Todibo, Andre, Antonio Silva, Bremer, Joao Neves, K. Thuram, Olise, Neto, Nico Williams, Toney, Rodrigo Muniz.
For me, Frimpong, Branthwaite, Onana, Olise, and a free transfer for some sort of striker who is capable of doing a good job is probably as much united can hope for. And even at that it's wishful thinking.
If Juventus are as rumoured interested in Greenwood I'd try do some sort of exchange for Bremer. This is where Berrada and the boys really earn their bonus.

Joao Gomes, Bremer, Guirrassy and Olise would be wise transfers purchases for not much money if they can sell the dead wood
Far more worried at the lack of money we will have to buy quality players, if we don’t we will be in 10th next season or worse
Don’t mess it up, we’re never gonna have an amazing summer while we wait for our structure.
Let players like Donny and Greenwood go and replace them with safe bets. If we try and swing for the fences this summer, that’s where we’d really mess up. Could take years of undoing.
Safe but strong summer, set the foundations and then build on it in January and summer 25.

If Rashford, McTominay, Maguire, Casemiro, Lindelöf and maybe Bruno are here after the summer, I will be worried too.
These players, with maybe Luke Shaw because of his injuries, need to be rotated out in the coming seasons. The sooner the better.
But if we keep retaining Rashford and the likes, who have failed for years, we will go nowhere fast. No matter who is manager.
How has Rashford "failed for years" when he has scored 20-30 goals in three out of the last four seasons?
That's better than some other premiership club strikers.
Getting a reasonable price for them is gonna be the hardest part.

His league goals from first start are: 5, 5, 7, 10, 17, 11, 4, 17 and 7. If you say he is a winger then it's even worse as his assists are piss poor; then as an inside forward his goals are not great either.
Ryan gigs got an even spread of goals each season but also provided plenty of assists or key passes that led to an assist; Rashford doesn't have that impact at all. I hope he is sold and the money put to better players for that position.

I thought after last season we would get consistency but Rashford failed at that. Sir Alex would have moved him on along time ago.
