- In todays quick look review I have a variation on the Zero theme, the Nakajima Rufe in the initial release Dual Combo format. As a long time fan of seaplanes AND Eduard kits, I have a good feeling about this one....

A lovely review. I have always had a soft spot for float planes. 😊
Im so glad you brought up the fresh tooling on eduard kits! I have the royal class hellcat kit and its stunning, i recently got the newer profipack which is the same tooling and the flash is REAL. Glad its not just me who noticed it 😅 great review!
Nice review
Nice kit. Thank you for sharing.👍♥️
As always nice video I picked up the tamiya p38 j today witch may have crossed paths with the rufe in the war
Nice, a pity that eduard did not include 1x zero &1x rufe in the box instead of 2 x 'rufes'!.
beautiful , love the Japanese floatplanes ! I presume the Rufes' would have been all built with normal undercarts and then converted to floatplane ? never considered this before . I like the idea of a grey and a green one , I could never decide which one to build , I think they look quite different from one another .
IIRC the info in the instructions said the first few were conversion but production aircraft were floatplanes from the off. It is a very handsome conversion I think.
This looks like a nice kit for sure. I have built the Tamiya 1/48 version of the Rufe a few years back, and that was a real nice kit. I wonder how this Eduard kit stacks up to the Tamiya?
I don't know, I haven't ever had a Tamiya one. I think their Rufe is a slightly older kit, so I expect the Eduard kit is a bit better.
14 June , sad day for the Herks Jen , I bet you will miss them ! will you be involved with A-400 s ?
I will. I already work on the A400 Fred
Eduard's pricing and release schedule these days pretty much follows the "hardback first, paperback only once every "I NEED to have this!" customer has been properly fleeced" policy of book editors.
"Fan of floatplanes... don't really know why, I just am." I hear you, Lady, I hear you...
