You should come, here, to Washington (state.) Specifically Leavenworth. Their decorations stay up til February, but being there during Christmas time is purely magical.
Long time Floridian here. If you ever have the opportunity, Saint Augustine is such a great place to visit year round, let alone the night of lights festival. You can hop on a tram, and get a historic guided tour around the city (year round, but it's even better during the holidays). It's so much fun!
i loved the explanation for San Agustin's tradition. We do similar here in the desert Southwest on Christmas Eve. we line our front yards with farolitos/luminarias. little paper bags, weighted with sand and a candle to light the way for the Holy Family. we have done it for hundreds of years. Santa Fe, New Mexico will always be my favorite Christmas spot because the historic plaza and surrounding area inside the Paseo de Peralta are lit with tens of thousands of luminarias along roof tops, low adobe garden walls, walk ways, public squares and churches. the soft glow, with a thick hot chocolate and the crisp winter air (usual fresh snow) makes it magical.
For me the most beautiful sight at Christmas, is the family gathered around the dining table for the traditional Christmas meal. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas, and a blessed and Happy New Year 🙏🏻
It was tradition every year to go down that street in Baltimore, it was so fun! I miss it and hope to go back some day as I live in kansas now. I've also been to Tivoli which is gorgeous enough but I've not been able to see it during Christmas, I bet it's spectacular.
You can tell who comes from a country that isnt big on Christmas 😂😂 Color lights are what makes Christmas. You can have colorful lights and decorations and it still looks beautiful ✨️ Our house is beautifully decorated in color lights and decorations and doesnt look trashy ❤️💚
it really depends on the culture. warm white is always what i was raised with. i have added color before in specific areas, like tree canopies as green, but the base for everything is always warm white. they are elegant.
@@PhxVanguard yeah it must be a cultural thing. White is definitely more elegant but an array of colors here in the states can be beautiful too if arranged correctly.
St augustine is the best place on earth. The nights of lights is absolutely glorious. My family & I actually finally did the helicopter flight to see it. Then drove around town. Best place on earth. Gorgeous ❤❤❤
Around here we don't go insane.. but we do go weird. One of my neighbors has a life sized Will Ferrel from Elf in his yard.. and another one has an inflatable T-Rex wearing a santa hat and eating an elf.
2 Christmas vids, no mention of Frakenmuth Michigan, it's literally a Christmas village, with the world's largest Christmas store. Looks like a Bavarian village, you should react to Frankenmuth Michigan.
one of the best and never showed on TV is called Christmas Tree lane it is located in Fresno, California. Its miles of very big mansions and millions of lights, animatronics and a radio to listen as you drive. for free donation driven As a kid when my family wasn't at War against each other we use to get hot chocolate as a little one and be at awww from the lights.
OMG, some of this stuff is TOO MUCH! There's places with lots of decorations that are amazingly beautiful, but you can't even see these houses! Lol I think some of these people are obsessed 🤯
Every year I lug out the fake Christmas tree to set it up with the intention of being happy patient and joyful. Five minutes in and I’m cursing god. I hope next year is different
Need to checkout "Koziar's Christmas village in Pennsylvania" known for Pioneering the House lights in United States to stages used and seen today. Christmas Village first opened in 1948 and has over 1 a Half Million lights that sits on a nice chunk of land out in the middle of cornfields making those Lights shine miles away. Something very magical seeing from the sky when on a Plane as it shines bright in the Dark fields.
If something has been going on for 75 years in the neighborhood, you really have no reason to complain since almost no one living there was unaware of the tradition. Remember when most cities had a nativity display in a park in town? Then some upset person sued and they almost all went away. So petty and so sad.
LED lights won't even move the power meter! The best I ever saw was one house hadthousands and thousands of lights and the next door neighbor had an arrow pointing to the neighbor with the word in lights: Ditto
These were all beautiful! Near me in Texas we have the Gaylord Texan which is a resort/convention center and it hosts a MASSIVE theme park built completely out of ice sculptures. When you enter they give you a big parka jacket so that you can stay warm and they have a bunch of displays and even a huge ice slide for the children! To accompany that we also have a drive thru light show at the Texas Motor Speedway where you drive all throughout the speedway INCLUDING the stands and there's so many themed lights displays from sci-fi to Texas themed to football to nativity scenes and more. If you get the chance you should react to videos on them. The first link is for ICE! I live near St Augustine and been to the festival of lights and its not all that tbh. It looks better on camera but in person its not that good. St Augustine is beautiful year round though.
It doesn’t seem like you really like CHRISTMAS 🎅🏼 traditional lights. My daughter starts hammering and placing certain things right after Thanksgiving. I try to send pictures to my family who live out of town. Which reminds me to do it tomorrow night. Lol 😝 We just moved this year so I believe it motivates the neighbor hood. My daughter has a significant amount of lights but I try to unplug it fairly early in the morning…yes it’s costly. I do like seeing the children’s reactions though. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 2024’.
I don't think displays by the governments should be in this compilation. There are 2 or 3 houses within easy driving distance of my house that are incredible. They have music that plays over the car's radio on a special station. Everything is timed to music and stories that actually include what Christmas is actually about. Those are far better than any of the "city" displays.
I am sorry, but calling our Christmas decorations, the first home, tacky was a little rude. Please remember our Christmas colors are green and red and white. Private homes put different Christmas decor in their yard for many to enjoy, especially the children.
Tacky light tours … not for me. I love a good old Victorian style Christmas decor. Wreaths with fruit and ribbons, candles in the windows. Serene and classic.
A house in the Netherlands, many years ago, was forced to remove its Xmas decorations because it offended a particular ethnic group( you know who)🙄. I wonder if this has taken the spirit out of many European communities to decorate and celebrate in a big way ✋🏻
@@MrBelmont79I know more than one ethnic (actually religious) group that doesn’t eat pork. People were probably offended like those shown on this video - because of an overly garish display that brought thousands who trashed the neighborhood.

Yes we have several developments here in this Florida town that do this and it’s really beautiful

Yeah, when she said "trashy", my mouth dropped open.😲😲
@TheRemixstress right! Lol
@@TheRemixstress yeah, trashy would be the exact opposite here. Not enough lights and cheap ones at that. Tacky is a better word for that house.

Good to see my home town Saint Augustine Fl on the list
I love seeing these different Christmas lights
My brother is the Clark Griswald of Missouri . When he turns them on he said the electric meter is spinning
Ayyyyyyye!! Baltimore made a list, and in a good way. 😂😂🍻
Oh my
Beautiful work Japan .. thanks from the USA

You need to check out Tom BetGeorge's shows. He does Christmas and Halloween. They go along with music and narration and are extremely well done.
