As a father of two, I tell my kids all the time that it is a parent’s job to set their children up to succeed. Pops, it looks like you did a fine job with this young man and continue helping him succeed. He will continue his success long after we are gone. Too many parents today set their kids up for failure by not preparing them for life. From one dad to another… thanks pops
Great Father & Son project 💜 where would we be without our Dads/ Pops/ Daddy's 💜as a girl my Dad helped me with my lean too on my house 💜Thanks to all the kind Dad's for helping us children with our projects 💜💜
Pops is the man!! As a father, myself, I am always being asked to help my boys out with projects around their houses. It's all in the job description of being a "Pop". :)
1950. My dad and mom built their own house by hand. I was two years old. I was lucky enough to grow up with my father. He taught me so much about building and working on cars when I was about 12 he put a room addition on the house And I was heavily involved in that and helping him over the years I bought a building and he helped me remodel and add to that building in between all that he restored antique cars. My dad was from Montana and When he used the words dead, nuts, like you. I’ve never will forget that. I thought it was only from Montana.. you are extremely lucky to have your dad helping it would be great that every father would teach and help their children as they grow into life.
Pops you are a great father who did an excellent job raising his son. It is a real pleasure watching the two of you work together. Thanks for sharing it!
As you are soon to find out being a Father is a never ending job, and it's the best job you will ever have ( till you get to be a Grandfather ). So Thanks to Pop for being there for your family!
I know you appreciate your Dad. I lost my Dad when I was 30, now 20 years later I still miss him. He was like your Pops, always there to lend a huge hand. Pops, to did a good job raising your son!
Kudos to Pops! I started "helping" my Dad build houses before I was in Kindergarten. Great memories of my Dad and Mom (she had to move us so many times) in the several houses they built with other projects. So many thanks to Pops for all that hard work in that brutal heat down there! Great job!
I was going to say what an awesome Dad you have to help, he’s so knowledgeable and just as capable as his son!💪🏼 Your parents raised a wonderful son and we know that’s the hardest job to do! Cheers to you Dad!
I miss my Dad everyday! We did a little work together every time I would go home. Pops spend as much time as you can with each other. And, thank you for working so hard with your son. God bless you all.
Even though I’m a girl, my Daddy did everything with me and taught me all the building skills, he taught me fishing. He taught me how to work on my car. I miss him dearly. You’re a great Pops I’m sure your boy appreciates all of the things that you help him with you’ve done a great job!
When I built my workshop, my dad was there every step of the way. Could not have done it with out him. He loved helping his kids out. I promise your dad loves being there spending time with with, no matter the project.
Thanks Pops. My Dad had heart issues the last 20 years of his life, which was most of my adult life. I did’t get to enjoy having his helping hand much, but I did have his wisdom. You are a blessing beyond words. I wish you many years to come. Thank you. God bless!!!
I’ve enjoyed watching this so much! Our 3 boys call their dad “Pops” too! And Pops you’ve done a mighty fine job with your son! So refreshing to see someone so young “getting after it” and putting in the sweat! Looking great!!
You are truly blessed to have your Pops there to help and make memories with. He has been amazing. I lost my Pops (which is what I always called my Dad, too) 4 years ago to cancer and miss him every day. I purchased my childhood home from my Mom after my Dad passed. When we purchased the "house", I use this term pretty loosely, it was un-insurable. We have since taken all of the exterior down to the studs, re sheeted the exterior walls, insulated and had all new siding installed. When we tried to fix a sagging roof, we found that the original roof did not have 1 true tress! Needless to say, the entire roof came off and a new roof from the tresses up went on. Other than the siding and the roof, everything else has been done by my brother in law, my husband and I. So, I know the back breaking, sweet soaked days that go into diy, and it's a lot. Without the help of someone with experience, like your Dad and my Brother in Law, it would be even harder. I wish every day my Dad could see in person what we have done to the old "Homestead " and I hope that he would be proud of what we have done. Even though we still have a long way to go on the interior, I think my Pops would be proud. (And maybe say-Why didn't you all help me do this when I lived here! Lol) I'm so glad you have a wonderful Dad that is there by your side and gets to witness first had what a hard working and amazing son he has.
Pops, now we see from where Dylan gets his perfection and good nature. Dylan, before you know it you will be in your Pop’s shoes helping your son. Carry on all of you.
Before you asked, Dylan, I was planning to acknowledge your Pops. His help is invaluable to you with this project. It is obvious the love and respect that you have for each other. Bless you both!
Dylan, give your Pops a big hug from me as a way of saying, 'Thank you' for raising a fine son. Dylan and Molly, you two are an inspiration for being positive and working together so nicely. Your love for each other is evident in the details of this project. You can be proud your measurements that are within 1/8 of an inch and everything is plumb, square and level.. Blessings to you folks.
It’s one thing to have a father who is there for his son. It’s quite another accomplishment to have a son who is willing and happy to listen to his dad’s wisdom and advice. Pops, you taught your son to respect you by your example. Now you have a relationship that is fulfilling for both of you.
Thank you pops for all the help you give to your son. I am sure he appreciates everything you do for him and his bride. You three are doing an awesome job.
It's a joy when I get the chance to work side-by-side with my boy. You must by proud! Great job Dylan and thanks to your Pops for puttin' in the man hours!! (thanks Molly for the video :-) )
Great that your pops is helping. My dad helped us build our detached garage. He thanked us for "letting" him help. I appreciate him for being here and I'm sure you appreciate yours too. My dad is gone now but every time I see the garage I think of him. Looking good 👍
Let me be the 73rd person to tell you to savor every moment working with your pop…and be sure to pass those on to the mini-Woodbrew!! Oh. And great job Pops jumping in there with the helpful hands!!
Thanks Pops! I built my 30 x 50 alone and having my Pops around to help would have been awesome. Not just for the production of the building but time well spent together.
You and your dad working together reminds me of my son and I working on projects together. There is nothing better than a son asking his seventy-five year old dad for some free help.
Dylan, you and Molly and Pops make a great team! I know that feeling of " did I forget something ". In the line of work I retired from, it sometimes kept me up at night. That is a great project you are working on. You are going to love it when you get done.
I think you’re dad has been great I lost my dad 7 years ago he was my best friend not just my dad and I see that with you and your dad just think they’re is no way you would be able to do half that or even start without your dad you need to give him the biggest hug. Your dad is one of those people who are just great in every single way looking forward to next week You look after him he is one of the good ones Keep up the great guys looking forward for next week
Perfect! Just perfect! Thank you for helping your son pops! Very much appreciated! What’s gold is Pointing out off measurements and your explanations on how to tackle those, Not only for the sake of transparency, but this will go a long way into helping others figure things out. Thank you!
Dads like yours are very special. My was a special Dad, he could turn his hand to anything, and when my son was trying to put a dado rail along the wall and up the stairs, Grandad was the person he turned to to explain the angles. As my Dad was over 80years old at the time, he was so pleased to be asked.
It's so nice to see a son and father working so well together. My father is not super handy so if we do something together it either ends up with me telling how what's up or us arguing cause he has the way he thinks in his head and that's the way it must go lol. Lovin the videos on the pole barn. Gonna be putting up a small 20x30 one to house by boats and my tractor attachments in the coming weeks.
Definitely props to pops for all his help. We just LOVE your videos. We refer to you as “the kids”. We are amazed at how such young people are so competent and ingenious. I laughed tonight when I started to play this video and my husband heard your voices and yelled - hey !!! Wait!!! I’ll be right there - lol. He didn’t want me to watch “The kids” without him 😂😂😂.
Great job pops. Dylan turned out great too. So a win win. And then we have Molly. I've been a subscriber for a good while and its always fun to watch you too.
I am a new subscriber and in my usual fashion, I have been binge watching your channel “Woodbrew” and really enjoying your content. I love the way you and Molly interact and work together. You are an inspiring young couple. You’ve set goals and are willing to chip away at them slowly as time and money allows. Congratulations on expanding your family; I’m positive your little boy will thrive with parents like the two of you. Keep doing what you are doing and I’ll be watching!! Greetings from Hamilton, Ontario CANADA. ❤ (ps parents are handy to have around. Continue to appreciate all they do for you!)
Some of my favorite childhood memories were building something with my grandfather or dad! I know these are memories that you'll always hold close to you. Great video!
I'm so proud that you are acknowledging the hard work your pops and your wife are putting in. It has been awesome watching your videos, please stay true moving forward. A big thumbs up from western Australia. 👍👍🤠

I love your commentary and explanations about what you’re doing and especially when you run into issues and take the time to detail how you’ll be fixing those challenges. I’ll never build a barn, but I love watching you do it.
I am impressed with your accuracy in your Pole Barn build. Hurry and put your Roof Sheets on before the Wind blows. .005 over 51 feet. I believe you are good to go! I think your Dad deserves a big note of thanks this week. He was a tremendous help for you. 🇨🇦
SO heartwarming to see you and your Dad working together. I learned all I know from working together with my Dad. I am now a lot older and still think so fondly of those times spent together working on projects!! Go Pops!!!

Just recently came across this channel and I love it. Dylan and Molly you are the perfect couple. and pops what a great help you are…
