Until Eskom is privatized that argument simply holds no water.
I was there when they had the big party when they announced they were gonna name the town after that old corrupt bat. It's actually an Afrikaner dorpie, and actually has little to do with her. I mean that abandoned graveyard has Afrikaner graves from the late 19th century, Boer and Brit soldiers are lying there. I also recall the water shedding they have every day from 18 to 6, as well as the fact that the Muncipality there basically does next to nothing and lawns are growing out of the potholes that have been there for years and years. Mercs and BMs park at that Muncipal building so clearly there is corruption.
Punitive load-shedding in the name of equality has been around since the start of load-shedding. Koeberg could be operating at full capacity yet the Western Cape has to experience load-shedding in solidarity with the other areas without power. Ditto for all the towns close to hydro-electric plants that in theory never need to experience load-shedding. An injury to one, is an injury to all since under communism we are all equal. It is wonderful how they manage to spread communism thickly on the South African sandwich yet the sheeple are too stupid to realise what they are tasting.
I absolutely agree. The term 'sheeple' is far too often mocked by socialists (communists in disguise) as being some hillbilly conservative term, but in truth, it's the biggest problem humanity sits with - citizens who have no desire to see or learn which issues are actively oppressing their prosperity, they throw their hands in the air and moan, but never want to change anything for the better if its too much of a hassle and disturbs their complacent comfort...
I think that's a slightly different argument though, because national power plants were built to power the entire grid - whereas new private interventions should rightly be allowed for exclusive use
Is this true though in a practical sense? I suspect not. Is the grid not run with all available capaciy of power stations? Power stations are not put on or off grid as needed, to support an ideology, as if to throw a switch. Rather, all power stations available, is kept running, but on the grid switching occurs, that allow shedding to different locations - keeping available supply & demand in balance. Or, am I completely off-in the dark?
@@yaacooh3073A substantial amount of power is lost when transmitting it over great distances. Thus a town next to a hydro-plant is subject to load-shedding (a loss of income to Eskom) while the power that town would have used is sent a thousand kilometres distant resulting in a transmission loss of anything from 20% to 30% or higher. This is an excellent example of how ideology is effectively sinking Eskom. The power grid is not a single bucket of water but many small containers being filled by a local power station where valves connecting the buckets can be regulated.
5:07 good points guys, I recently had someone tell me when we were discussing residents deciding to fix potholes because obviously their local municipality were too darn useless to do it, that it is "all great but did they get permission from gov to do it?"... I mean people still think one has to be nicey nicey and ask for permission to solve something yourself? That's the mindset I absolutely despise. I think you call it Authoritarian Syndrome or something, could be Ramaphoria too although that seems to be dying down at least 🤣
The problem for eskom is that when they load shed a town and that town generates electricity from another source on eskom lines you cant work on or steal the lines.
As far as I know Eskom and the electricity infrastructure were built with taxpayer money, who do these clowns think they are to treat people like that?
Cant understand. The elelctrical cables in my house I paid for. I paid for my own circuits in the db and utility board. In otherwards fuelstations start charging us for their fuelpumps when they run out of gas 😮😮
Just a point of reference/ ALL MAJOR TOWNS had their own Power Plants and distribution infrastructure before ESKOM was patched in. ESKOM used to service farms and peri urban areas before. Time to revert to what the system used to be.
Some people will spend money on generator fuel which is not fair to the people who want to spend their money on beer, Eskom exists for those who refuse to pay for their electricity.
Just like when we had a break from loadshedding over Christmas..then after that we went to stage 6 . Now we get stage 5 and threatening to go higher after a loadshedding break over the Easter weekend... So... Hang on... It was not de Ruiter who caused us to go to stage 6? He has gone now and Mr minister of electricity is slapping us with higher stages. Oh, now I see!! Hmm.
What 'amuses' me is that they can relieve us of loadshedding on 'important' days or when Julius throws his toys outa the cot and then it magically returns🙄🙄
I watch a South African streamer (he plays god of War) and he says that the company gives him a schedule on when they're going to cut the power off and turn it back on.
There is more behind this "load-shedding than meets the eye. Schedules are not adhered to. Cuts are deliberately becoming more random and unpredictable so you cannot prepare for it and the alternation between different stages every few hours is just to confuse you and is having no effect whatsoever on conserving power. Since Sikonathi Mantshantsha resigned from Eskom there are no reasons given for the power cuts. Bottom line is we are well and truly fucked.
The plan, as I understand the plot, is to motivate for private power installations which can opt to "sell" their "excess" power to the Municipality (the Grid). However, this power hive will be commandeered whenever their is an emergency. The Municipality will decide how much power the owner can utilise. Moreover, every "cell" in the hive will be monitored via the tie-in grid feedback meters. afaik.
Sounds very dystopian, so that must be the intention. I think they only want select people to own private power generating plants and are trying to destroy the competition before it is established.
Good morning. Here's a question. Oil, petrol and diesel gets shipped to Mozambique . Lands for R1.50 a lt. Gets transported to south Africa and we still pay R22.20 . How come. 😮

Eskom can't tell a metro who owns it's own distribution infrastructure what to do with it. COCT is already mitigating some levels of loadshedding using Steenbras. I suspect Frankforts infrastructure is Eskom built and maintained.
GHL is not going to even consider Eskom or the ANC and their drivel when making decisions regarding Cape Town's future energy supply. I am so glad we have a reg reg mayor.
Anyone else find it odd that we currently have lower number load shedding schedules during daylight hours as opposed to the night times. Surely consumption during the daylight is higher than at night. What has changed? This really is a circus.
They use pumpstorage schemes like Drakensberg to pump water from a low dam to a higher dam and when they need extra power they release the water from the high dam to power the generator essentially a big battery
The issue here is that many of these plants also feed back into the grid and Eskom is starting to bank on this extra capacity. This clearly highlights how deep the rot is in eskom. As you use Eskom cables to distribute the power in these big installations they will demand the extra capacity to cover their short fall.
If Eskom forces people that have their own Power to loadshed, the President & his Ministers should also be forced to do so. There shouldn't be any exceptions for these parasites.
You guys need to check the safety issues with using Eiskomm's grid. There are problems of power going to their grid from other sources. These problems are not insurmountable if you have competent and intelligent electrical engineers who are prepared to help. This is not the case in Frankfort - obviously! The alternative is to replace the municipal grid with their own and dump EISHKOMM COMPLEATLY. Very costly! Shortsighted of Eishkomm as with more municipality's on their own generated power the more power is available for industry who do pay their bills - might just improve their financial situation!
The only way we can fight back is by waking public up to the reality of what's happening. If people can not associate as a nation to act, nothing. There is no legal action one individual can persue to make a lasting difference. The Constitution & time is against the individual.
THE SOLUTION The ANC doesn't fulfill its constitutional obligations. The ANC is far worse than just a "poor" government, it CHOOSES to break down and to destroy. That is why this action is warranted and needed. Most importantly the ANC incites hatred/violence against us when they say that we stole their land - I checked, we didn't. It is not reasonable to expect law abiding tax payers to continue with "the winner takes all principle" of a democracy to their own and the country's demise. Who says we HAVE to be part of this political dispensation? Nobody questions this. It is time to stop, think and QUESTION this. Nothing and nobody have the right to force us to be part of this self destructive political dispensation. Approach the courts - convince them that it would be in the best interest of the country as a whole if we control our own taxes (first goal). Justify our rejection of the current political dispensation (main goal). Alternatively we can just use the constitutional court as a platform where we inform the ANC and public of our decision to control our money and effectively start our own government. Give reasons and evidence for our decision. (Our money under our control). Of eerder waarop is n minderheidsgroep in ons omstandighede GEREGTIG?
Great show. Keep it up! I understands the lords of the flies in the ministerial complex are funded by the tax payer to have effectively no load shedding ??.? Some are more equal than others….
I think nk you are correct about CT but it might be treated slightly differently. Maybe CT owns its own wires rather than Eskom. But Eskom might still force them to load shed too and can do so because CT cannot generate enough power to be independent of Eskom.
Have look at Drakenstein. You pay +/-R2,40 pkwh on 60amps but the buy back form them is maybe +/-70c pkwh. Then on top of the levy they charhge for maintenace you get another levy for having solar. So can I get money back for not having power? Buy the way you paying the initial levy for the privaledge to have power😊. Just asking who is stealing from whoooo?

One thing that bugs me,and maybe it was covered somewhere on other youtube videos. Why are they still selling these money wasting electric heaters in the shops??Sure i understand they are cheaper, but they use way too much electricity for the heat they are generating, and when you combine 100 or even millions using these appliances at peak time, then its no wonder we are at higher stages. Rather use gas heaters instead.Cause as long as they keep selling these electric heaters in the shops, then people are going to keep using them. Sure gas demand is going to go through the roof, but that will ease some demand from our so called energy provider.Maybe im wrong or missing something?

It's win/win. But this is no doubt political interference again because it shows up those monumental dooses in the ANC government because we have to do it for ourselves.
@@krugeriotkruger7886 you're not wrong there! Totally agree with you on that!
@@krugeriotkruger7886 What do you mean "their powerlines". It's a state owned enterprise, which according to the commies in government means it belongs to the people who spend a quarter of their work day slaving away to pay taxes( oh and of course those that sit on their gat all day taking Sassa grants). Until Eskom is privatized that argument simply holds no water.

Winnie was not jailed but banished and the town was Brandfort, not Frankfort.
Ah! Easy mistake to make.

We should all say get knotted and make our own way.
Take the ANC and ESKOM to court.
Only a DA voter will fall for that & think it has a chance. Perfect DA loser strategy. 😂
The term 'sheeple' is far too often mocked by socialists (communists in disguise) as being some hillbilly conservative term, but in truth, it's the biggest problem humanity sits with
- citizens who have no desire to see or learn which issues are actively oppressing their prosperity, they throw their hands in the air and moan, but never want to change anything for the better if its too much of a hassle and disturbs their complacent comfort...
The power grid is not a single bucket of water but many small containers being filled by a local power station where valves connecting the buckets can be regulated.
somewhat backward....as even Russia has dropped communism some time ago.
There is no such thing as 'free'. If you get something for free, someone else paid for it.
Why do we have a competition commission and a monopoly run by the same circus..

Remind Eskom and the ANC that they messed up. Remind the electricity minister of this
Another DA supporter.
No ways. ANC And Eskom did mess up. We need a party better than the DA to fix the mess, maybe P.A.
So that means the MP’s and Cabinet Ministers should also loadshed
😅😅😅😅 yes. Tthe cable thieves are crying....
Eskom is ANC, ANC is Eskom.....that's why!
And the DA can do nothing about it. Don't forget.
As far as I know Eskom and the electricity infrastructure were built with taxpayer money, who do these clowns think they are to treat people like that?
Are you offended? They do not care. They are certainly not offended...
Yep...freedom is the name of the game...
She should have rotted in jail.
Like Risiville Meyerton never get load shedding, because Eskom Officials stay there
Just like when we had a break from loadshedding over Christmas..then after that we went to stage 6 .
@@margijohnson5728 It's during public holiday. Most factories close. Residential usage is far less than commercial use.
They must go hopping sideways.....
Do the ministers also suffer load shedding in solidarity with the rest of us?
Of course not
Great advice!! ❤️
I watch a South African streamer (he plays god of War) and he says that the company gives him a schedule on when they're going to cut the power off and turn it back on.
Nuts
What a joke.
I installed an off-grid solution, despite all my friends warning me about penalties and fear mongering the crap out of me.. 😉

But black townships are not load-shredded that is racism at best and the top dogs as well?
Eskom can't tell a metro who owns it's own distribution infrastructure what to do with it. COCT is already mitigating some levels of loadshedding using Steenbras. I suspect Frankforts infrastructure is Eskom built and maintained.
GHL is not going to even consider Eskom or the ANC and their drivel when making decisions regarding Cape Town's future energy supply. I am so glad we have a reg reg mayor.
The ANC never built Eskom. The ANC successfully broke Eskom. 😂
Anyone else find it odd that we currently have lower number load shedding schedules during daylight hours as opposed to the night times. Surely consumption during the daylight is higher than at night. What has changed? This really is a circus.
😅😂😂😂
They use pumpstorage schemes like Drakensberg to pump water from a low dam to a higher dam and when they need extra power they release the water from the high dam to power the generator essentially a big battery
What did the courts say?
The issue here is that many of these plants also feed back into the grid and Eskom is starting to bank on this extra capacity. This clearly highlights how deep the rot is in eskom. As you use Eskom cables to distribute the power in these big installations they will demand the extra capacity to cover their short fall.
Winnie was in Brandfort, not in Frankfort.
Eskom has become irrelevant.
Please can I have the same thing that Eskom is smoking😂.

Follow the money, find out which politicians have their fingers in the pie...it's obvious that theres people getting rich off our suffering

Brandfort is not Frankfort!
THE SOLUTION
The ANC doesn't fulfill its constitutional obligations.
Dit gaan oor waardes, breek jy af of bou jy.
WOW! Way to make the economy grow 🤔

I think nk you are correct about CT but it might be treated slightly differently. Maybe CT owns its own wires rather than Eskom. But Eskom might still force them to load shed too and can do so because CT cannot generate enough power to be independent of Eskom.
