Kinda funny the DJ said that frosty is doing more work because he has more gear when Bizkit is actually doing more because he has less gear to work with 🤣
@@A-SpectNDO He did, but then later changed his mind. It was his first loopstation reaction so I think he assumed that because frosty's multi device round was better to him than bizkits first round. And then in the second round once Frosty called it out he probably understood its the other way round.
BizKit killed both rounds, loopstation battles are not only about hip hop routines they are limitless. The big W for me is BizKit used only RC-505 mk1 that has a lot of limits when it comes to making fx's and patterns, you really need to make use of your voice to make certain sounds where Frosty is using devices that make all (read most) of that instead of him. Frosty can solo beatbox that's for sure, he has proven himself in the past but he heavily relies on automation when looping and I don't like that, I like raw sounds with minimalistic use of fx's, that's why I really like MB14 he has an awesome skill looping purely with his voice :-)
Bizkit winning was amazing. He came into the competition as the dark horse, everyone thought he was going to lose. The top loopers at the time were not from USA. Him beating everyone else surprised everyone. You should see all of his rounds of the event, its very good.
he was 100% the dark horse, if you thought from the beginning of the event he was gonna beat rythmind, brez, so-so, frosty, robin, dice, bringing their A game... you were able to see into the future. No one thought that at the time. Also loopers or beatboxers at the time were making predictions on their channel and a lot of them had bizkit under all of them. (also some of these people were judging for the online battles, do you think they were like "this guy is gonna beat me in gbb?) @@JesseH_idk
@@blitzluvsu2 only rythmind was on a mk2 for that tourney?!? if you look at the lineups it makes sense. Dice underperformed, brez underperformed, robin format not suited. If you look at it his run was not that hard at all compared to his skill.
24:32 they must do blank inputs, so all the sounds of a previous round is gone. Frosty does use melodic presets where his machine uses preprogrammed progressions, but the input is fresh.
Frosty just has to sing 1 note and the onboard sequencer will make a full melody line from it. Bizkit has to manipulate his vocals with onboard effects to get close to what Frosty is able to do with the Mk2.
You guys should interview some loopers because you really need some more insight on how loopstation tracks are made. It seems that you think that barely nothing is prepared on both sides, but all effects are prepared for that specific memory (the memory being the loop song they are showcasing). Meaning that when they switch to the desired effect, they won't need to change the parameters of said effect live to get their sound (at least in Frosty's case). Frosty with his gear can prepare 3 chords harmonies , or a bassline with multiple notes and steps with a single input (the input can be a beatbox kick, just saying "ah" on the mic, whatever else ...). He can also preassign multiple effects (basically a preset) to a single button so that the previous sound he prepared switches to another (ex: inputs the melodies -> touches button -> directly makes it go to chords effects -> input the chords ...). Bizkit in the other end is only using beatbox sounds (kick, snare, bass sounds...) as the basic input, has a limit array of different effects, and they are really basic. -He doesn't have any sequencers (all effects only generate one note by default, you have to manually edit the note during the performance). -He can't assign effects to a button and has to manually change his effects using his knob mid song (especially harder if you are rapping while doing that). -Overall sound quality is worse so he needs to work on the mix in unconventional ways. That doesn't mean that Frosty is worse than Bizkit or vice versa. Frosty puts A LOT of work in his songs for the event, you have to programm all the assigns and stuff. But most of Bizkit's preparation is going to be performance oriented because his soundset is more organic and beatbox sounding and also because nothing he does is automated. He needs to reherse a lot for the live performance whereas Frosty needs to prepare a BUNCH before the live performance but doesn't "perform" a whole lot. Both have different skillsets and are talented but the disparity between the devices cannot be ignored.
This is exactly why I like the upcoming producer split. Let them go full beardytron with no limits other than it needing to be a live production. In the future they should branch that out with a freestyle requests category if enough can do it. And then for the more raw beatbox loop you have that stricter solo device category.
Stuff like this final is what finally drove the organizers of the event to start separating the categories into "Solo Loop" which is just an RC-505 device with very minimal if any extra devices to further modulate or sample your sounds and "Producer" where I believe you could use an unlimited amount of additional devices to sample and effect out your loops. Lots of the people in that category were running an RC-505MK2 (WAY beefier version of the regular 505 Bizkit was using here), a Helix Line-6 sampler (Additional $1200 USD device), drum pads, etc. that make your audio sounds WAY more produced and clean, especially live. The difference between the work they're both doing is that Bizkit has way less opportunities to screw up with his tones, pitches, and general inputs because the 505 itself can't do a lot to clean it up, whereas Frosty had more devices to manage inputs on correctly, but those devices are able to save loads and loads of presets (effects, not sounds because that's not legal) so you just have to time your inputs correctly and adjust a couple knobs or sliders. That's not to discount the work that goes into using multiple devices, but people will always consider it to take more skill to make sure powerful and good sounding tracks on just the 505.
They dont have to make only party music aye. You can win and have an impact without people jumping and waving all the time. Showing versatility is also a thing. And sometimes i can definitly appreciate a vibe as much as a bump.
Btw when he said no dice he was referring to another great looper that was eliminated earlier on named dice when i personally think he won his battle.. Also Bizkit only used 1 device when Frosty and most other competitors had 2..
I also think dice would've won if his rounds came out as they sounded on the video. but from everyone who was there, his rounds apparently had very bad sound issues sadly.
@@nonstopqs4188Yeah I wasn't there but I remember from the livestream that dice's rounds were negatively affected by the audio system, more specifically mic feedback if I remember correctly. The money was peanuts according to the beatbox brothers podcast 👎🏽 This is part of the Swissbeatbox beef (they organise GBB).. Pls correct me if I'm wrong fellow commenters:
I was super hype for this reaction because of this battle but the ignorance and hate from your guest… you really need to watch some loop tutorials so you can properly understand the process the difference in machines and what each of the devices frosty used were actually for. He programmed sounds into each button so he didn’t have to use the knobs Bizkit did. He has 400+ effects to Bizkits 100.. frosty had every single thing in his favor. And I think it’s because Bizkit didn’t have these and still performed quickly and efficiently gave him a big bonus
They should keep the devices away. Beatbox is still a beatbox skill, you can't just try hard the shit out of your tech to make up for your lack of skills in the beatbox portion. Kinda makes loop station unavailable to those who can't afford shit ton of electronic devices. BizKit is a great example why simple loop station is a elite tool on its own. It allows you so much but it's still bounded to your mouth accustics. Don't get mi wrong - Frosty was great, but there is a fine margin between a "suprise" and "cheating" where you can pre sample your stuff prior to your battle. Or that's a thing I would be afraid of.
Well this year the loop station category only allows one device. Everyone who wants to use more than one device has to enter the new producer category. So basically, your prayers have been answered.
You can't pre-sample anything in GBB. I think what you are trying to say is that the 505Mk2 that Frosty was using has a sequencer built in while the 505Mk1 does not. All sounds have to come from you live. Nothing can be pre-recorded.

Payouts were shit. It was a thing. Listen to Maddox go off on it. It was the reason why he quit SBX.

If frosty did a backflip, he wins...
3 2 1 bitbox
3 2 1 Bizbox
Check out the KBB
Y he close his eyes to laugh
i dont understand 😂why the dj cant understand whats happening
I can' t speak English🤣🤣
I don't know why people enjoy these two and kept asking for this battle. There was nothing enjoyable in their whole performance.
It feels like Frosty let him win
Frosty has used most of his best material getting to the final
Fr he was fighting against rythmind he gotta pull out all the stops bro
@@whyvern6817 Then I'm wrong, I didn't watch their battles one by one, thanks for saying
Frosty's first round had a lot of issues. The timing was off a bit. You could hear and and see it in his body language.
@@TheDeadStretch thought so…
Each round they must start with nothing. They can't use inputs from there 1st rounds.
You can't compare a looper into a DJ :')
🇵🇱🔊👍👏🤟
I was super hype for this reaction because of this battle but the ignorance and hate from your guest… you really need to watch some loop tutorials so you can properly understand the process the difference in machines and what each of the devices frosty used were actually for. He programmed sounds into each button so he didn’t have to use the knobs Bizkit did. He has 400+ effects to Bizkits 100.. frosty had every single thing in his favor. And I think it’s because Bizkit didn’t have these and still performed quickly and efficiently gave him a big bonus
the DJ ruin the whole vibe geezzzz.., pls remake this reaction w/another...
#1 guy zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzsleeping
this guy dont have reaction wtf what is this guest???
You are contradicting yourself. Either way if you have gripes with the devices that are allowed, speak to the organizers and judges of these events.
For me you talk to much its like too little girl 👹
