Hi Margaret I had a Cattleya walkariana seedling but unfortunately it did not survive, yours looks healthy. Good luck. Have a good evening stay safe and happy growing : )

I have a walkeriana that is mounted, they have to have a wet/dry cycle, hence my reasoning to place it in the holey clay pot. The coconut husk will gradually be removed once new roots are established. I was sorry to hear yours had died, let's hope this won't discourage you from trying again. Good luck and thank you for dropping by.

It seems like Mr. Hobbs sends you, more than you payed for. More critters HaHa!
It seems like he still has some stock from Asian imports. Nice plants but I would check any you buy from him for passengers and repot. The moss plug it came with from Asia, is the way it is shipped over. The plant was just put in an other pot with some coarse media in it.
Any way, another nice plant for your collection.
    And in case I would forget, Already a 🌻 🌻 🌻Happy Birthday !!!! 🌻 🌻 🌻

Thanks Marc, and especially for my forthcoming birthday wishes. Yes, I totally agree with you that Laurence Hobbs is still in possession of some imports, lucky for me, but it so the imported bush snails. I dare not push my luck and suggest another orchid from my family, they think I am nuts already, but £25, plus posted of £3.89 isn't that expensive. In their new media and pots the Psychopsis and Catt Dolosa will soon grow new roots, free of pesky critters! I'm now sitting with my afternoon coffee ready to watch your video.

@@orchidsgardeninengland1682 Beware, the crocks and crevices in the CoCo husk are ideal to establish a bush snail colony.
The plants are not that expensive and your shipping cost is next to nothing. Here in Belgium it starts from € 13.50 for parcels.
Good luck and if its any like here, enjoy the HOT weather. (around 29¨C here).

That's a great orchid, I have a couple similar jungle nobility which uses harrisoniana x nobilior and I have dolosa x heathii... You will love it and it's super easy!!!

It's so good to read your comment Todd, as you know I have a Walkeriana, so I am used to its requirements. Hopefully, I can grow this cross, so long as I don't over water 🤔

@@orchidsgardeninengland1682 there's a joke in my comment actually from the guy that did the dolosa x heathii cross, the two are exactly the same cross dolosa being the wild primary cross and heathii being the man made one. The chap that did the cross I have of dolosa x heathii calls it Cattleya conundrum.🤣🤣🤣

May you enjoy this new orchid. My Crumenatum is getting ready to flower. How is yours doing?

I'm envious that your Crumenatum is about to bloom, my wonderful specimen died, but I did manage to save a keiki which is slowly growing, it will be years before it blooms though. We're expecting our weather to reach 27c on Sunday, phew! That's probably a cool day for you Floridians, I'm not complaining though, unfortunately we don't have the luxury of air con.

Hi Steven, both the repots were because of Bush snails; repotting Cattleya delosa 'Gorgeous' being uploaded as we speak. These snails are almost invisible, but they can do such damage. My first video was for 60 seconds, William of My Green Pets, suggested that this would encourage newbies to upload a video. I was absolutely petrified; the best advice ever came from a subscriber in NZ, she said, just be yourself! With time and many, many videos later, being a UA-cam creator is very rewarding (not monetary), it's a community where we can share our experiences good and bad. Please give it a go, choose a subject, talk about it and Bob's your Uncle, you become a creator
      Good luck!

@@orchidsgardeninengland1682 Fingers crossed. I came across this beautiful orchid in an orchid nursery yesterday, it only had a slight fragrance but it was afternoon. But the fragrance was different from what I’ve encountered so far. Very buttery and creamy

Actually it's a bifoliate crossed to a unifoliate... loddigesii is a bifoliate.
