I was and somewhat still am dealing with a lot of hardships at the moment, yet listening to this beautiful lecture made me forget all about my hardships and pain. Salam Sheikh, I have a question. It’s regarding one of your other videos but since this is the latest upload and there’s more chance of you seeing this, I kindly ask you to respond. So my question is:
- You mention in your lecture of questions to ask before marriage to ask your potential about their pre marital haram relationships if these relationships were to affect your future marriage. You have also mentioned and a lot of other scholars argue that you are not obliged to talk about your sin even to your partner. So in this case the question is: if this man had a relationship in the past and HAS. A child from that relationship (like they call baby mother/father relationships in the USA) is it still permitted to him not to mention that? A lot of us are suffering from being hidden this kind of important information that later in the marriage could haunt us and men tend to lie. Please advise sheikh. Thank you very much🙏

I think it’s better to ask you local Iimaan or Sheikh, it’s better to ask face to face
You should ask anonymously by contacting the sheikh directly. Even when asking the sheikh you should take care in not disclosing yourself or your identity. The approach is such that you say enough to get your question answered without sinning. I also recommend you either talk without telling the sheikh your name ie calling or you Email with a different email other then what you use if there is a chance they may know who are or ask someone who does not. In Islam sheikh's are not like the way Christians see Priests you are to only tell them what is required. They also amanah that they seek not more then what is required. Disclosing your sin means to them too, how ever knowledgeable or how ever righteous they may be. People just release everything and anything on them, we do not have that and that is not okay. Tell only what is needed.

Our daughter has a beautiful singing voice mashaallah that’s her talent but knows it’s not permissible to sing and gets upset she can’t sing.. 😢 any suggestions brother? She’s not interested in nasheeds or poems or reciting her she has a soulful voice it’s difficult as I can see she wants to sing and it’s a way of expressing herself
Sister tell your daughter nothing good comes out singing. Tell her nothing good comes out of singing and tell her how all those who become famous singer end up Sad and depressed
Have her focus on learning religion first, and inshallah, from there she would become interested in poems and nasheeds. Also, have her find a Quran reciter that she likes and try to emulate them. That's better than any of these mindless songs, talking about haram relationships, fahisha, and zina.
If you had told me back in 2016 that I would one day no longer be interested in music, I don't know if I would have believed you. Yet, here I am now, not really interested in music anymore. Subhanallah.
