Those Old rakes took some learing and weren't the best rakes out there but they were (at the time) Cheap, easy to maintain and worked. Good Video Waiting to see the 483 in action here.
Whew, that is some steep hill to be a doing, I don't blame you for using the 3 point rake. Be careful when you bale it, very treacherous there. Good luck and stay safe. Have a good Sunday!
Great video as usual ya'll!! Ben that was little sketchy on hill side but you didn't hesitate good job made me lean uphill lol. Thanks for sharing ya'll be safe out there have fun
Very Nice Day in deed, compare to us ( forest fire smoky cloud ) all around us, thank God they are calling for very important rainy week 👍👌😇 Nice implements parking lot set up that you have Sir 😇👌👍that old rake is working pretty good 👌😇👍That part is in deed very steep for sure 😮 OUTSTANDING video Sir Cheers 🍻🍻
That old Massey is still running strong. I may have to borrow all your hay baling stuff. Because after all this rain that we had this week. I'm gonna have to bale up my yard lol
Whew Ben that lat part where your dad was videoing you was steep, I must admit I was tense just watching you, but you handled it like a champ. Great job
But cheeks clinching the seat on them hillsides like that!! I like how you got your wheel rake set more straight!! I don’t usually set mine that straight but probably will now because I like the way it doesn’t bunch it up when you turn!!So I learned something else from your videos!!
What model is your hay rake? I didn’t know if you were saying your tractor was 245 or the heat rate was I found an old model 29 four wheel rake just curious if it’s worth fixing and can you still get parts?
I believe it is a 29, the tag is missing now so I’m not sure. I think you can get the teeth and things to replace but I couldn’t find bearings or hubs. Had one bearing completely shot but I made some bushings and greased it good so that hub no longer uses a bearing.
