The Harahara attacks are fair because of the stupidly long wait time. It's like the Galactic Phantom. That is why Fernandeath is so dangerous, his has almost no startup time.
He is the Final Boss, after all. And if you have a distance from him, it's easy to Cancel his HaraHara (1 Heart Beam from Arina, or any character charging, can stop it).
I love how Bonus-kun is just a parody of Ryu, it's like his traveling bag came to life and traveled to another dimension just to kick butt. Also, Arina is hot as hell.
Mauru's special attack is so interesting. Sometimes i wanna go to play this game for addicting sounds and moving. The victory pose of mauru makes me follow up. Strong and cute pose with a child
It's nice to see that this game is more accessible these days, since it's available on Modern consoles. I have this game on the PS4, and I want to do a video where I play through the entire game as Mauru, who seems to have mediocre specials, but trades in those for some surprisingly good normals, and I just recorded a playthrough where I managed to make it all the way to Fernandez on level 8 difficulty and a single quarter, but I couldn't beat him. I didn't even get close. Anyone have any tips for fighting Fernandez in general?
First and foremost: NEVER do any jumping attacks. Beware of his kiss attack, as it is extremely fast, and it drains a shit load of energy. You can avoid this move, by activating your "SUPER" bar (press all four burtons at once) wich gives you better offense and defense, but use it wisely, it won't do you any good using to avoid a kiss, and then Fernandez uses a fucking Hara Hara Attack. You can also avoid kiss, by performing a back dash, at the exact moment the move will hit you, but thia is very risky, and is easy to fuck it up if you don't kbow what you're doing. Beware of his counter move, and learn to recognize the move he makes when performing it. Since Mauru has no long range projectile attacks, save for his Hara Hara Attack, don't throw any punches, kicks, or anything like that, unless you are a 100% sure that it will hit. Try to gain some distance at the start of each round, by performing a back dash as soon as it starts; Fernandez has a nasty habit of kissing, or throwing a punch or a kick at the start of each match, and Mauru's back dash is good at avoiding these moves. Once in a while, Fernandez won't do either, and instead do a Hara Hara Attack, especially on higher difficulties, and almost always in the second and third rounds, since he will almost always have one full power bar, in wich case, perform a "SUPER" as soon as you see him approach (wich won't take long, his HHA is very fast, requiring no setup time, and you are almost at a jump's leghth away when you land from the back dash). You can also gain distance by performing Mauru's Super Fist (QCF + both punches), tjis move sends Fernandez to the other side of the screen, but be careful, he can bounce back with an attack; if that happens, just do a "SUPER". If he doesn't bounce back, as soon as you see him hit the wall and not bounce back, do Mauru's HHA, it will most likely hit Fernandez as he is getting up. If you can, repeat the HHA, for an aesy win... juat pray Fernandez doesn't use his "SUPER", if that happens, and you haven't used yours, use it when you see an unavoidable attack. That's pretty much all the advice I can give you, hope it helps. Best of luck... and since Mauru is one of the worst characters in the game, you'll need it.
@@elcamello1980 One thing I noticed is that he likes to charge forward, which is easily exploitable and counterable. I don't think he's the worst character. He has surprisingly good normals and the quickest Hara Hara besides Fernandez. He also has decent speed, and it allows him to play rushdown. His big problem is his lackluster specials. Regardless, I can't help but defend him because he's by far my favorite character in the game.
@@baalfgames5318 yeah, his forward rush is exploitable, as long as you're careful, nd don't let him get too close, because he will perform an unblockable grab. Well, yes, what you say about Mauru is true to some extent. His HH IS a mean son of a bitch, I just find his lack of at least one normal projectile, a serious let down. I don't know, I mean, it's not like I spam fireballs (wich I don't, in any game) but it would round him out a little bit better. Anyway, that's just me ranting. I hope you have defeated Fernandez by now, since your comment is several months old. Cheers.
Fernandez has a weak crouch game. If you can combo low, he has a harder time countering you. I second the sentiment by @Energia Oscura that you should never jump - unless a Harahara is coming. Jumping any other time will just cause him to boot you out of the air and kiss you as you recover. Fernandez likes to charge at you, and if you can get him to rush you the length of the screen, faster characters like Mauru and Slash can get their Harahara off on him for big damage. I've only beat max-difficulty Fernandez with Mauru by playing keep-away with him. Mauru is very good at punching enemies clear across the room. The biggest thing is to exploit the maxed-out super meter and be patient - very few characters can rush down Fernandez and not get beaten stupid for it.
Mauru actually has a cheesy strat, that if you punch away Fernandez and he tries to come back by running (not jumping) you have enough time to squeez a super attack, and Mauru's is good since it doesn't charge as slow as other's. But the most efficient plan for him is beware of his kick and try to kick him as far as possible. Mauru was actually the second character I beat him with, after Rai.
Fuera de tema, ese juego necesita mas reconocimiento....y menos iluminación ( protección para epilépticos ).... Al menos 1 o 2 de sus personajes en algún juego 2.5D?
This game allows the fighters to distance themselves a lot (there is insane amount of zooming out when needed). When that happens, some characters can use their hara-hara safely. Best one is Mauru, because it's the fastest one, covers the entire length, and is almost impossible to jump over (and, because it is a hara-hara, is unblockable). If you play this game, you will learn quickly to not let Mauru distance himself from you. Some hara-hara are hopeless, tho. Dandy-J and Polytank-z are the worst offenders.
@@juanausensi499 Just want to Correct a little bit, but the Fastest ones is actually Arina (But she has the most short range ones too). Mauru is the 2nd faster after Arina though.
