The opportunity to chase the dream of becoming the best professional singer had finally came for Emmanuel Kelly. With the X-factor Australia premiered last night at Channel 7, he had shown Australia his talent.
Emmanuel Kelly, an Australian originally from Iraq, is 17 years old even though he doesn't actually know the exact date he was born. He was adopted in an orphanage having been found in the middle of war zone. His story is very moving and words cannot describe the hardship Emmanuel went through. With the full support of his mom, his brother, and friends, he put a brave face and front up to millions of Australian viewers in last night X-Factor 2011 Show to sing Beatles' John Lennon song " Imagine ".

Some of these singing competition shows show u some really incredibly beautiful gifts that people work very hard toward perfecting. Sometimes there are people who come along who really stink, some are just OK, sometimes some come along who are really good, sometimes they are fantastic and sometimes--- they just shock the hell out of everybody with a completely unexpected touch of beauty and soulfulness that takes your breath away.
Emmanuel Kelly has wonderful gifts. He hit it out of the ballpark with his chosen song -John Lennon's 'Imagine'. There has never been a better song ever written that addresses the human race and the need for our humanity.
But, this goes so far beyond. When you look at his life from birth and even TRY to imagine the hell he was born into, what happened to both him and his brother, the shear fear and terror that permeated their lives every single day and that his mother has the heart and soul that she does. The love and courage... Then look at his life now--- the survivor mantle he so eloquently carries and the courage, the way he managed to come out on the other side with that talent, the smile, the personality, the shared love with his family
And- yet he has no idea how old he is--and he sings a song that personifies our desire to shed the shackles of everything wrong with humans and to sing of hopes and dreams to make the world a much better place. After what he has been through----- yeah... it is stunning and it leaves you breathless and definitely in tears. Maybe, somehow-- their is hope for humanity.
This is a must watch moment.... And think of all the small, petty things we all bitch about every day......
