    I have met Paul Stanley twice. He’s an awesome person, and very intelligent and warm hearted in person. Personally, he’s my favorite musician. Paul’s work ethic in regards to his passion for music is inspirational.

Recuerdo que yo tenía un póster de ellos pegado en mi recámara y al único que veía era a Starchild. Me tenía hipnotizada..... y todavía me tiene hipnotizada

    • @jsgraham67
      @jsgraham67 2 роки тому +3

      I agree. I've read Gene's autobiography, and many of the KISS events correlate. But as far as the person, Gene is a narcissist. I have mad respect for both men, but Paul is so down to earth, and genuine. He acknowledges when he makes mistakes, and makes no bones about it. What really bothers me is to find out that all albums from 1983 until Revenge were written, recorded and produced primarily by Paul, because Gene was in his own little world, following his own ambitions. Yet he wanted half his cut. Paul deserved the full cut. He busted his ass to keep KISS afloat, and performed admirably, producing some of the best KISS songs of the 80's.

    • @JoinTheProgress
      @JoinTheProgress 2 роки тому +2

      @@jsgraham67 I get your point completely. I think it was simply Paul's good nature that had it work out that way; not only was Gene the other vital half, but Paul _was_ more focused on keeping the Kiss machine going than Gene was. At some point in time Gene bought Paul a car...a really-really nice one, can't recall the make/model...so I think there was a balance that Paul was satisfied with knowing Gene just had a different view on the whole of their success. Not that even a higher end car could make up the difference financially, but it was a cool gesture.
      It was as an apology...and if I recall...it could've been about exactly this topic. Cheers.

    I've been divorced before. It was one of the most painful experiences I've ever had to endure. That's why I never brought it up to Paul. As a matter of fact, it was 1988 thru 1991 when I was alone again. I got married (again) in 1991. She is absolutely amazing. We just celebrated our 32nd Anniversary on March 5th. I was happy for Paul when I heard he got remarried. I did tell him how happy I was for him. He thanked me for, "not scratching the old wound." Still a great guy.

    As he tells the story of his divorce, I find myself being able to relate to Paul Stanley for the first time ever. I felt a lot of the same feelings be did during my divorce years ago. She, too, was emotionally unavailable and I, too, remember coming home the first time after work and she and my son were gone. That night broke me. But you know what? It felt better the next day. Paul is a thoughtful father and husband. Divorce happens, and it was wonderful of Paul and Pamela to explain everything to Evan. Divorce is the most painful, horrible, soul ripping, heartbreaking event in life. Only losing a child would be worse....Much worse. I feel for him. I went through it Twice. My second wife liked to cheat. Being cheated on is a feeling that can't be expressed in words. Remember what his contractor said. He's not nuts. I had sworn off marriage. I was touring with our band and ran into my prom date. We've now been married 14 years & have a great life with our kids, and grandkids. Don't lose hope. Sounds like they totally destroyed each other. His offers of child support, dealing with years of bad decisions while in a marriage, selling mutual assets...Boo hoo. That is the reality all people who divorce face. Where were your big "decision making and supportive parenting skills" prior to the divorce" for the aftermath of years of poor choices. Really? It's not all about you. Surprise.

  • @Elricmedia19731

    I am tempted to read this. Paul is a cooler and more human guy than I expected, and an excellent writer here to boot. Success does not prohibit or protect you from suffering much as every other person goes through on this planet, and unfortunately it probably exposes you to more. I do not know what "fair" is in a divorce since I haven't seen a divorce that 2 people ever looked back on and said, "Yeah, that was amicable and painless." I do not know what position or economic status Pam had prior to her marriage to Paul, but it's likely it was incredibly elevated and improved by what he was able to give her. A friend of mine said to me recently that men love women, and women love what men can provide them. It is scary when anyone feels entitled to what you've worked for, and scarier that we live in a country that supports this legalized theft just because you expressed a desire to be committed to someone and somewhere down the line you have to pay a huge monetary price because you made a regrettable decision in the choice of a life partner. I bet Paul would have supported her for life had her lifestyle expectations been more modest, and by that I mean she would still probably be living better than the rest of us. Anyway, I enjoyed this clip of his book as it gives us a different perspective on Paul's life, and one far too many people can probably relate to.

    The people who are saying "never marry" or "rock stars should never marry" need to understand that Paul picked the right person to marry in Erin. Someone who was a highly successful lawyer who did not know about Kiss at all when she met Paul. If you have read Paul's autobiography or his recent book, it's a match made in heaven. Erin didn't NEED Paul's money, even if he made more money than her. The problem with many of these rock star marriages is that the rock star ends up marrying a little known model who doesn't have squat and has the brains of a cockroach. The other key issue is that even though there will forever be cynics, the Kiss farewell tour will end. It is physically impossible for 68 year old men to carry around that much gear on stage for two hours and 15 minutes. It's going to end. So at that point, Paul is going to have more time that ever before to spend time with Erin and his kids. That all being said, I 100% agree with comments here about the California divorce laws. They are written as if it were the 1950's. I couldn't believe what Perla got from Slash in their divorce. The cost of pussy is really high in this state, and if kiddies are involved, judges pretty much assume that moms are the only ones capable of parenting. But I feel Paul chose wisely with his 2nd wife.

    As a daughter of divorced parents, I understand how Paul Stanley's son must be feeling with the divorce of his parents. I felt betrayed at first; it took years for me to realize my parents just could not make their marriage work. They eventually found their true loves and I have two beautiful stepparents. Divorce is never easy especially when children are involved; must be equally harder when one parent is famous.

    A girl said to me after a few months seeing each other, “we should get engaged” I said “ok”
    Two months later She said “why don’t we get married? We get along very well!” And I said, “exactly, we get along very well, so why ruin everything by getting married?”
    Two months later she said again “I really want to get married” so I said “I have too much money to get married” and she replied “you don’t trust me?” I said “when you have the kind of money that I have, marriage is out of question”
    A week later she took off and never saw her again.
    Moral of the story... don’t be naive, or you will pay a huge price, literally!
    (Now I have another “friend with benefits” that I like a lot, but I am NOT getting married, never ever, I’m not stupid, love comes....and goes, and when it goes it goes with your money, guaranteed - there is a very fine line between passionate love ❤️ and passionate enemies 👹☠️)

    Very foolish to not have a signed pre-nup. The best of us sometimes fail to think above the belt line. But it is critical to keep one thought above the belt line. That is, if you have a net worth of over $1M, and your prospective spouse has a net worth of no more than a fraction of your's, you absolutely must have a pre-nup. If they won't go for it, thank God for the sign and run.

    I think rock stars pick wives poorly, and always have.
    They seem to always have to have a woman that looks like a model, and has no real character.
    Then these musicians are utterly destroyed, and somehow surprised that the woman just wanted their money.
    I have known many recording artists, and have seen this story so many times.

      Phyllis Pollack You’re so right. I have also seen musicians marry the wrong woman because she played him by saying how talented, unique and how he is the soul reason why is band is any good. These women art not the best looking.
      These women are very quiet around others and doesn’t truly connect with anyone except the guy she’s after. She’s catches him like a animal, he’s caged and doesn’t know it. Her control leads to his destruction. It sometimes ends in divorce, whereby she gets the bulk of his estate, or he stays with her never aware that he’s her pet dog.

    Paul confirmed what I always thought. KISS kept going because he got divorced. This is where people (like Trunk) lose the person and start looking at the one dimensional side of the business and think this man was just being "greedy". He had to survive and essentially rebuild himself financially to where he could one day retire securely. This is the period where he embraced more of the merchandise aspects of KISS and the licensing became a big deal again. And I'm quite sure this is why Eric and Tommy were given the makeup to move the band forward. It was not for career needs, it was for life needs. Paul had to rebuild himself and hoped the KISS Army would still answer the call. They did. I think that has allot to do with why he tries to be attentive to fans when they talk to him. It's definitely been a relationship that gave on both sides of that fence.

Same goes for his access to his mom. The child gets by far the worst in it. I wanted to protect him from any and all harm yet I couldn't protect him from this. I felt I had failed him. That was the most painful part. My marriage was also doomed from the start in the same way so, it can be easier to share the blame and get over it. I was at fault as much as she. This is very fresh for me but I can already feel optimistic about the future but, the pain of what my son has to deal with and go through may never heal for me.
