This was my first video doing this kind of stuff. As more items arrive, I’ll do unboxings.
This take me back to when I was younger and only one dude in the neighborhood had a game boy advance, we’d all gather at his place playing Pokémon. Back then it was a more simpler time tbh

Im glad i had the gba sp 001 when i was little so i dont know the struggle.
What's a trade cord?
@@anndy6450 a cord that connects to your friends/siblings gameboy and allows you to trade Pokémon or battle.

@R3Vlog TBH I grew up in the DS era, so you can imagine my confusion with what went in the second slot when I was young XD (obviously now I know it was for Advance games, and by now I already own a Game Boy, Color, and an Advance SP)

I wish Nintendo would relaunch this console with backlit and a rechargeable battery. I never had a Gameboy Advance but I love those video games.
Just mod one, it's pretty straight forward to do on the normal advance
well. the game and watch was re made around mario 35, so probably you will have to wait MANY generations to get that
You can easily buy an already modded Gameboy Advance with a IPS V2 display and even with all kinds of fancy custom shells or original shells from ebay nowadys for like 100 to a 150 bucks. And those towards the higher end of the price range most of the time also come with a rechargeable battery mod too. But in my opinion you don't really need a rechargeable battery mod in my opinion you can easily just buy a pack of reachable Panasonic eneloop AA batteries instead. Reachable batteries usually just work fine for Gameboy Advance even if they theoretically only have 1.2 volts instead of the recommended 1.5 volt it does not really make a difference i play my GBA with those all the time
thats why you have retro handhelds now. RG280V or RG351 should do pretty good work for that.

It looks like new. Brings back so many memories. I remember I had one as a kid and one of my relatives stole it at my 12th or 13th birthday party. Still never found out who it was 🤣

I played nearly only Game Boy Advance games in this last seven month ... plus a bit of Spyro Reignited Trilogy on the Switch X-D
Ill be honest there seems to be plenty of fun games for it despite its age. Besides it runs on batteries, how friggin conventient. You dont need a wall plug just pop a couple AAs and play.

I hope they make this consoles again just for the ones that never got one. Before my family was so poor that a break game is that only we can afford. Now just use any emulators. But i want to feel what is like owning and playing in that hand held consoles 😢
I used to have one of these as a kid :) might not have been as great as the flip version but it was sturdy and ran on AA's. I think I might pick one up again, maybe save it for my kids :)
That's interesting, the gba has mushy buttons , then the sp has clicky buttons
Later on the original ds had clicky buttons and then the ds lite had mushy buttons again, then dsi returned to clicky buttons
All the 3ds models had clicky buttons while the 2ds models had mushy buttons
The original switch has clicky buttons while the switch lite has mushy buttons

I personally always prefer the more clicky buttons. They feel so much more responsive

That Gameboy Advance is in GREAT shape and condition. Recently I discovered Lukie Games and I really like to buy retro games every now and then! I might even get a Gameboy Advance! :D

Woah brings backs memories I forgot I had me and my twin brother got one of these back in 2002 I was like 9 and had Pokémon crystal with it and super Mario world 2 with yoshi and now I’m 27 and pretty much own all the Nintendo system system going to give to my kids when there a lil older
I got my gba sp because my dad found it at his work and gave it to me when i was 6, and it had pokemon firered on it and some dragon ball fighting game. Good times.
I finally own one of these again, I got mine at a Game store called Game Over in my town not far from my house. I got the Gameboy Advance on a good deal that day. I had the money for it. Now, I can relive the old days of when I use to play Pokemon Fire Red Version

Nice video! I recommend a Gameboy Advance SP over a normal Gameboy Advance considering it has no backlight. Either way this is still cool.

It’s got the classic screen that is even harder to see then the original Gameboy I mean I have memories with this console but I had the sp model with a backlight oh how lucky we are now

I still play on my gba sp 101. Hoping that it’ll last for another decade. I recently got the switch lite and am hoping that it’ll work for a long time as well. I’m a bit skeptical since I feel like the switch, which is formulated sort of like a tablet, might die faster since in my experience, touchscreen/tablet like devices die a lot faster. Crossing my fingers that it’ll be around for awhile though!
I plan on buying one, and modding it with a back light. This is the first game I want for it.
I think my brother had one of these. In 2019 we found the old GBA in the garage.

I love the GBA, but personally, I would play the GBA game did the DS, it’s more comfortable to hold in my opinion.

My parents sold my Game Boy Advance when I was 8 and I've been waiting to get one through savings with grades, chores and bday money. Hopefully, at the end of this year I will have a Game Boy Advance with some pokemon games on.

Ahhh the struggle of having no backlight. Used to get frustrated by it as a kid
I had a backlight for mine I had the 20 dollar accessories kit back in the day that came with light and magnifier I always played in the dark cause I could see it better the glare from sunlight washed out my screen everything looked faded

All the Nintendo handhelds I have is: Gameboy color, Red dsi xl, blue dsi xl, red dsi, 2DS XL, 3DS. The next thing I was is the GBA :)

I would say get it from eBay I got one with a case and 4 games for 60.00 so I suggest you do that

I’m watching this because 2 weeks ago I was going through old crap I had in basement in storage buckets I found my old game boy advance that I forgot I had but couldn’t find the games for it I think I might have tossed those out thinking since I didn’t have console why hold on to the games for the life of me I don’t know why games and console wasn’t together so I ordered one game on eBay I remember having I had a total of five but only remember one so now I’m looking for accessories and more games lol
