The owl house is really good - the first episode isn't the *best* really but the show gets so good, and very very dark especially in season 2, you should definitely watch more!
The first episode is good but the rest of the show is infinitely superior. Once Edas development kicks in, the story becomes amazing and season two is somehow throwing hit after hit that it’s hard to pick a favorite at this point
It is convenient that Luz likes witches and magic and there is a world of witches. Surely in her school there was a boy or girl who was a fan of alien stories but who unfortunately never ran into a portal to an alien ship..
I wouldn't say Luz's decision at the end was along the terms of "ditching the human world and her family forever", it was more of a casual "this is going to be my summer camp instead of the one in the human world I didn't want to go to" choice. She can stay here and have Fun Magical Adventures for the summer while pretending to be at summer camp, or return to the human world and go to actual summer camp and be miserable.
Yea I was kinda caught off guard when he started insisting that she's just running away from home, I mean she was expected to go to a summer camp, it's not like her mother is expecting her... also we literally see that they have a portal back, she is seriously not stuck there (for now) and not in any hurry to get home (for now)
@@c0mpu73rguy its tame horror compared to an actual horror movie but thats just because its a childrens show that aired on the Disney Channel. it was supposed to be even more horror focused before she pitched it to Disney. it has a lot of creepy animation and some of the way a lot of the shots are framed and how the scenes are made is very horror-esque. there is a lot of dark undertones in many of the episodes, especially with how Belos is portrayed. he and his backstory make the show so much darker and intense. plus Dana Terrace loves certain horror cartoonists and storytellers, which is what inspired a lot of her character creation.
A few things: 1) As others have mentioned, the show gets so much better as time goes on. 2) I also like that they don’t demonize Camilla (the mom). Later episodes really establish her as a loving single mom who does her absolute best for Luz. 3) Eda and King aren’t antagonists, they’re just chaotic. 4) We still don’t entirely know what King is. He’s certainly something important but probably not a king of demons. 5) Luz has no intention of abandoning the human world, she’s just planning to stay in this world for the summer. I’d definitely recommend watching the rest, even if you don’t make reaction vids to them. Also while you’re on an animated show binge, Infinity Train is phenomenal and only 10 minutes an episode.

Is there any chance of you doing more reactions to shows you've started? I'd love to see you watch more of this, it gets so so good.
Okay you NEED to watch the rest of the series. It gets way better, more interesting, and darker
You can kinda tell that Disney Channel has some sort of template they want creators to use when writing the pilot. Gravity Falls, Star vs, Owl House and Amphibia all check off weirdly similar boxes in their pilots despite heavily diverging immediately after.
ahhhh please do a reaction for the rest of this series, it gets a lot better and the horror definitely grows more... intesne.
It would honestly be really great to see you react to the rest if series (obvious no pressure, only if u want to) but I just think you would really enjoy it :)
Omg i really hope you keep watching, the plot gets so much better in future episodes, the characters are amazing and it's just in general an amazing show
Honestly I'd love to see you react to more episodes, especially from season 2! (Since my favourite character is introduced then hehe)
GG or RW?
@@HeliorDusk both.
@@HeliorDusk I meant GG, especially after the most recent episode, however, I do love RW so much as well
@@lydiawinchester8448 Me too, they're great ^^
Gravity Falls, Star Vs The Forces Of Evil, Owl House and Phineas and Ferb are my top favourite shows because they are just insane and about something different and odd which just really makes me happy. And the funny thing is King is literally the same actor as Bill Cipher. Funny to see such a cute little demon become the most deadly demon in the multiverse.
As I'm sure you've seen in the comments already, this show gets so much better as it goes on. Also you would come to understand a lot of what's going on as well. I would like to see you react to the rest of the show if you could.
You should keep watching it. It gets really good after like the first 5 or 6 episodes. Definitely worth watching.
yes! this is one of the best decisions you've ever made and you won't regret it! It's my comfort show.
you better strap in for season 2 because whooooo boy
The irony of him saying he’s not expecting any beheading is just great XD
I'm very happy you've started reacting to this show!
