Fun fact his wife is his backup singer. He has bad stage fright so that’s why you always see him looking at her instead of into the crowd.
How many times has this been said 😂😂 still gets me
She's an accomplished artist herself, not just his back vocals
Complete load of PR BULL PUCKEY!!!
You're full of shit. I have been listening to the SteelDrivers forever. You must be a new bandwagon fan...
Fun fact… He ruined this song, his version is total 💩 and Chris is a f*cking tool…
You need to hear him do the national anthem at the Super Bowl. It's amazing, best rendition I have EVER heard
Yeah, there's something special about Chris, especially when he's singing with his wife. It just feels next level. Glad you enjoyed this! Great reaction.
Now you need to listen to his rendition of the National Anthem at this year’s Super Bowl. Amazing.
he definitely made the song "his own"
Technically that was last year's because that was last seasons championship game
@@McLeod2022like he did with this song

@@perrdawg-py8my1cl7l Need to correct people much? That is your goal in life? Do you Try to be an arse or does it just come naturally? Fidiotic trolls. ... makes life better for the rest of us whose panties are not all atwist, pdawg.
the King of all love songs, and voted the best country song of all time "He Stopped Loving Her Today" by George Jones
Ask 1000 times, "What is the saddest song you have ever heard?" You will get a 1000 answers. Then ask, "more sad than 'He Stopped Loving Her Today'?" and no one who has heard it will say yes. For the rest you need but play it once for them to get there.
Except for those who know of Johnny Cash's "Hurt".
yes The Possum has the greatest version of Tennessee Whiskey!
Since you liked Chris Stapleton you should listen to Jamey Johnson " In Color". You won't be disappointed.
100%
Yes
Definitely.
The woman harmonizing with him is his wife, he is definitely singing directly to her
They do an NPR Tiny Desk 3 song bit and you can see within seconds of the first song they are singing to each other. It's a great watch to catch him w Morgane live without it being on a full stage.
With his stage fright his wife told him, Sing to me and let the world listen.
Loved your openness to listen to these suggestions. The other song he does very very well is “Cold”. You will feel his heart and soul on that one.
As others have mentioned, Chris has stage fright which brought his beautiful wife
And singer in her own right, to be with him on stage. She gets him to be himself which like you stated, you feel it when he sings. Thank you for reacting to this
Fire Away by Chris Stapleton is a wonderful song. Awesome video too
Can’t listen to that one without watching the video. Doesn’t bring the same message across.
@@oakland-as-diehard6717absolutely. There are a lot of songs like that. The lyric vids just dont have the same vibes
I love fire away!!!
Two of Chris Stapleton’s songs that I absolutely adore are “you should probably leave” and “Maggie’s song” but honestly everything in this man’s catalogue is a banger
Chris Stapleton is one of my favorite singers. One of my favorite songs he does is "Daddy Doesn't Pray Anymore."
Check out Christ Stapleton covering Metallica’s Nothing Else Matters from the Blacklist Album
Next check out his performance at the CMA awards with Cold. Fantastic performance
Wow, I’ve never seen this video and I am really digging it and young lady. You’re a joy to watch.
Chris is his own genre.
Everything he puts on record sounds as good or better live.
Check out his wife’s version of “You are my sunshine”Morgane Stapleton
I don’t remember it sounding like that in Sunday school and never knew what it was about until I heard her version. Lol
Yes Chris is a hell of a singer and guitarist. I know you dig Metallica he covered “Nothing else matters”it is really good. He does very traditional country tracks as well but if you want his rock/blues side try midnight train to Memphis, & death row enjoy your channel
He sounds the same live. Best concert ever.
And there it is ladies and gentlemen the Most Beautiful Smile you will ever see
I saw your smile the same 1 my wife gets when she listen too Chris
Chris names one of his biggest influences as Vince Gill. They have very different voices but a lot of similarities. Check out “When I Call Your Name.”
This music is about life for the most of them
You can always try, Brooks and Dunn, Believe. Tear jerker yet an amazing message .
Little baby girl you liked it I seen you smiling
His cma performance of cold is amazing
You now need to check out when he teamed up with Justin Timberlake at the cam awards where they performed this song and Justin’s Timberlake song. Also check out Chris Stapletons national anthem
Home Free, Performance of Man of constant sorrow will blow your mind.
They should do more rock than just Dire Straits Brothers in Arms.
@@miconis123 Helplessly hoping
@@Kodiak660 Certainly an excellent cover and I like their version better. CSN is more folk than rock. They teased some Queen with their Butts medley
More soul and blues than country. good song.
I'm a metalhead from Boston Massachusetts. I never really got into this sort of music til I moved to Atlanta Georgia. I'm classically trained in piano and guitar. But I never got into the blues til I moved down south. There's just something about seeing it live and living the culture. Great reaction as always. Have a great weekend. 🍻🤟
This particular song was written in the 1970's by David Allen Coe but Chris made it his own by putting a more bluesy vibe to it.
Cris perfected DAC’s song for sure. Though I heard it first from DAC, Chris is my favorite cover of it!
You should really check out Merle Haggard’s What have you got planned tonight Diana. It is one of the most beautiful songs ever written!
Loved the reaction Lilly. Chris has one of the best voices of all time, everything he puts out is gold. Plz react to his live performance of Cold from the CMA awards. It's emotional and powerful. 🙏
CHRIS STAPLETON is clearly next level country music but I still love the older music like Marty Robbins singing El Paso or Gigi Grant singing The Wayward Wind .
Chris Stapleton did a collaboration with Tom Morello (guitarist from RATM) on the song "The War Inside". You get Tom's signature solos and Chris's vocals
You need to hear chris stapleton and Justin Timberlake sing tennessee whiskey at country music awards, it's awesome.
Chris has written songs for so many people!!! Before he started singing.
A lot of reaction channels start off with Chris and Justin Timberlake doing this song live. But any time you can hear Chris Stapleton, you should stop and check it out. His guitar skills are insane as well. Check out "Death Row" for a very different vibe.
A good story that is relatable, with genuineness and emotion you can feel is what good country songs are made of.
Chris Stapleton is...well, you know..
It wa cool to see you smile like that. Haven't seen it before.
I'm not a country person either but he's so bluesy with all of his music and unique. Love all of it.
Keep in mind this is a cover / revised version David Allen Coe's song he released in 1981.
He's always better live!...you gotta check out "COLD" at the cma...talk about SOUL!!!!!
Chris is so good as a singer people forget how good he is on the guitar.
Need to react to his live performance at the 2021 CMA of “Cold” and his live performance at the 2023 CMA of “White Horse”. mine favorite songs from him lately.
Willie Nelson's Red Headed Stranger is fantastic. same type of voice. outlaw country.
This is actually more blues than country. This band is great.
Yeah it's just different with Chris Stapleton as he puts a different twist on country music, slows it down.
Chris Stapleton - Cold (CMA Awards 2021) is another good one.
As a rock fan I'll give the guy credit... I could listen to this type of music and how it's sung.
peace
Definitely should react to COLD
1:12 You need to be RIGHT with MOTHER NATURE when you listen to Chris. He "hits" so much harder.
Love Chris Stapleton!! I’m listening drinking strawberry kiwi moonshine!!
He was looking at his wife the whole time he was singing this song
THIS song was originally written and sung by David Allen COE, as a traditional country song, then then big hit with it was covered by George Jones, also a traditional country music song you should listen to George Jones, also . And hear what it is supposed to sound like. Thanks
I enjoyed watching your reaction to Chris. He is awesome. Notices how he cuts his eyes to his lovely wife!
His song, Fire Away, definitely gives the feels and is worth the listen.
I'd also say, "Something in the Orange" by Zach Bryan would also be a goodie.
this is str8 blues
Chris is amazing..he can sing anything
It's easy to be invested when you are singing straight to your wife lol. That's his wife on stage signing with him.
I forget y'all are young now and grew up with a new gen of country radio. Don't judge the genre from radio! They never play the best stuff on there, seriously.
Kieth Urban, Rascal Flatts, Trisha Yearwood, Sarah Evans, Leah Turner, Maren Morris, Lauren Alaina, Cam, Ingrid Andress
Just to name a few! Country has so many styles from pop to rock, it's a genre that contains a lot of unique instrumental choices and a lot of unique vocals. Which is probably why it will always hold a special place in my heart. Very little can beat acoustic strings and a raw, not over-produced vocal. And while radio country might be leaning into the digital music trend, a lot of smaller and lesser-known artists are really keeping the style alive.
I'm with you 100% - I am totally NOT a country guy in any way, well, country post 1990'ish. Chris's voice is so remarkable and this rendition of Tennessee Whiskey is amazing. If it wasn't for his wife being on stage with him I sure he would have had a couple pair of panties thrown at him the moment he belt out that blues sound!!!
She's feeling it!!😅
All his performances from the Austin City Limits concert are the best. He was on fire that night.
Never understood how anyone can hate a full genre of music especially country when you have the newer artists like Hardy, Morgan Wallen and Chris Stapleton and then you go back to legends like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash and the like, Im a huge fan of all genres because at the very least I can find one artist I like in any type of music.
Morgan Wallen would be the best reason to hate country, so instead, I just boycott Morgan Wallen.
He should just be honest, and wear his pointy white hood...
i cry by chris stapleton live is so amazing i recommend that
I was raised by my Pop-pop on old Country.. the good stuff back in the day.. I grew up in Hair Band Era.. but give me some old country Johnny, Waylon, Lorretta...... on and on... good old country.. in this day and age.. I have to say I love me some Chris and Blake
Aaaaand, now you're pregnant. But seriously if you want ACTUAL country music, Stapleton is fantastic. Give George Strait a try. Over 60 #1 hits. Just throw a dart at a list of his songs and it'll be a good one.
Actually damn good advice lol
Just yes
Stapleton is more blues than country.
King George
@@Blazergazer There's always one. 🤡
This man’s vocals are outstanding and I’m glad you opened your heart to other types of music.
Chris was slept on for so long such a great song hope u enjoy Lilly💯💯😁
If you like this, you may like the mash up of Stapleton and Angelina Jordan, too! She does a lot of benefit concerts, so you may not have heard of her, but she is fabulous.
GIRL, there is so many good country songs you'd be amazed.
Its music like this that takes some of us back to dancin in the front yard on a hot full moon summer night, listnin to the pickup radio
I've seen alot of reactions to this video and l'm proud to say it always makes me smile and put a tear in my. Love this song.
Great voices, melodies, and songs transcend genres and enchant the listener regardless of their usual musical tastes! He definitely achieves this!
His Farm Aid version is even better
This is a cover but will never be sung any better. I remember it from George Jones version in the 1980's but I think even his version was a cover of someone else from back in the 1970's. But it is now and fall all times, Chris Stapleton's song..
You might want to check out Chris stapleton's rendition of it's a man's world. He knocks it out of the park.
Glad you liked it and this is not even his best work. Now proceed on the journey to discover what makes this man be on another level
Many song writers can cover a song and do it justice, but there are some covers that IMO become the standard of the song. Some artists will take that song to the next level and become the definitive version of it. This has happened many times, and since you mentioned J Cash, that is what happened with his cover of Hurt which was originally written by Trent Rez from N.I.N. Same goes for this as well as All Along The Watchtowers by Bob Dylan, which was covered by Jimmi Hendrix and it became his song.
I love your facial expressions when you listen to music. Its obvious you are really soaking it in on a different level.
TY FOR HAVING AN OPEN MIND
Chris on the duet with I believe JT on CMT if i remember correctly, going off of memory here from years ago last time i hard it. That duo might be one of the best performances I have ever watched.
If you want your mind blown, watch him sing "Sometimes I Cry." Seriously, you need this.
If you like unique voices I’d recommend Willie Nelson’s “I Never Cared For You” or Bonnie Wrait’s “I Can’t Make You Love Me” (actually anything by her is amazing, for something upbeat try “Let’s Give ‘Em Something To Talk About”.)
Chris is way more blues than anything country. His is a once in a lifetime talent plain and simple!
You heard 1 song. He says he's country then he's country
Laughable!, I’ve heard everything he’s done, including his bluegrass band..lol
He does both. It's called blues country. However Chris Stapleton is more diverse than that. His rendition of "Nothing Else Matters" is Cash through and through.
Yes I’m well aware of what Chris does and is persay, read my comment above. I’ve heard everything he’s done and followed him since before he was in the public eye. The point was simply he is not a ‘Country’ artist, he’s way more than that!
One of those songs, just as famous for the lyrics as the guitar rif.
Chris Stapleton White Hourse is so good too.
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed it.
I've watched a few of your reactions. You give me hope for the future.
His version of A Mans World is amazing. Also I Was Wrong. Both Amazing songs
I heard in another video that you said your husband and another family member are Marines. One incredible song they would appreciate is Semper Fi by Trace Adkins.
You should definitely check out some older 90's artists, like Dwight Yoakam, if you're gonna do country. Just a suggestion
I second this.
When people say they don't like "Poppy Country" they actually mean a very certain type.
The Bakersfield Sound (Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakum) is the infusion of popular music techniques into Country.
The heaviest influence of Alabama was the Eagles.
Just thought her statement and the Dwight Yoakum recommendation was a bit ironic (although I bet she would love him)
Nice to hear you do more then heavy metal. Great reaction
Loved the walking bass in the first verse.
I think that's his wife singing back up, the one who is in the shot with him.
And thats his wife that hes sing with soo beautiful
Song was actually wrote speaking of love saving a man from alcohol addiction. He didn’t write the song but man does he sing like he did
Fancy
It's a country song
Try some Dolly Parton. Coat of many colors, Jolene and so many more.
If you like music you like this song. Simple as that. I listen to everything thanks to each family nember preferring something different for 30 odd years now. I dont love most country either but this is genuinely one of the greatest songs ever written and performed.
Kid rock and crhist stapleton, that's all you need . The 2 best.
Either one of those guys could grab a guitar and simply sing happy birthday to someone and it would go #1. Being a little bit funny here, but they both have that voice that says Hell yah!!!
EXCELLENT
Huge country fan huge Stapleton fan but let's be real this isn't country music this is the blues. And yes I LOVE the blues also
Chris Stapleton - Fire Away
I like this version but the first time I heard this song was sang by George Jones and then I found out that he wasn't the one to record it first it was David Allen Cole both of those versions are good but Chris really does this a good deed
